A small headcanon related to Cross: he looks quite intimidating and cold to strangers even though he doesn't mean it but when he's with people he's comfortable with he's loud and can't hide his emotions at all- he's easily excited, he can't keep that serious royal guard persona

Though now that I think about it even when he's trying to look intimidating he's adorable I'm SORRY I CAN'T TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY I LOVE HIM A LOT

Btw I literally drew this as quickly as I could so it's messy but I had to convey my vision before heading off to bed

It was so big, they had no idea where what was so they all got walkie talkies to help eachother out

based on an idea @username8746489 had where sylvie discovered nightmare fuel for the first time on accident while getting bullied by some older kids (and pushing him further into social isolation now that he's known as "that scary kid who could summon someone's worst fear")

Silco is the perfect villain because even though he's the big bad king pin with enough power to keep an entire city under his thumb, he's making faces like fucking this half the time

So we were blessed with Margaret Encino, got to see Amanda Maillard in action and also had a little Kristen in the end.

We witnessed the incredibly quick first date to marriage pipeline of Cody "Night Angel" Walsh and the quangled Loose (Duke) Baron from the Baronies.

Fig tried her best to propose and be the one to marry Ayda and even sent her an 80 minutes proposal album. She was only stopped by the unfortunate reality of not being of age.

Gorgug was having a not very good day as usual but at least he got it easier than Fabian last time so there's that!

Adaine and Pinocchio were mostly chilling and having a great time even with the weird circumstances all around.

Love how the more we quangle the more crack pairing and alternate universe ships we get. Sklonda and Sandra Lynn are canon in another universe and that's wonderful really

The more we go on the weirder and more insane the quangles get I swear and I love it immensely

Inkmare but I think Nightmare would be kind of 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂. Like. He'd get disappointed when after a while Ink just doesn't. puke paint. Into A KISS. They're in that level where they're getting gross like an illness that keeps getting worse until you're seeing double and are shaking and the lights are too bright, so cold but they won't give you more blankets because you have a fever. But inkmare. Yes.

FINALLY ALL THE NIGHTMARE CRITTERS ARE HERE

Now feel obligated to draw character dynamics now, so i did a comic thinking on what would it be like if Simon Smoke and Bobby Bearhug met eachother for the very first time! Hope you enjoy!

(Bobby should say "i sure bet you are" in there but i was too sleepy to notice)

Don't worry, she hugged him after some seconds, she was just shocked for a moment there

Warning: a lot of yapping, feel free to skip of you don't really care and just wanted to see the comic

As you can see my idea of Bobby and Simon's first meeting (and when i say first, i mean it, Bobby doesn't know about his jerk behavior yet) would actually end up with Simon really liking Bobby, but let me explain why!

When i read Simon Smoke's reference sheet i coudn't help but think he was the contrary of Kicking Chiken becouse of his jock behavior, let me explain again:

I imagine Kicking Chiken as that popular boy that makes people laugh but is actually deeply insecure of not being enough, so he tries to hide it by acting in a frendly way to be seen as "The cool guy"; Simon has the same fear of not being enough, however, instead of traying to act cool in order to be seen as such, Simon tries to show his cool by making the rest of people around look worse so he can look better, repeating again and again how cool he is, but he doesn't really believes his own words.

So when he meets someone that actually tells him he is cool and likable, he obvoiusly is mesmerized by Bobby, surprised that she actually called him cool and developing a soft spot for her, even if he tries to hide it, he has a reputation to keep after all!

The thing is the comic is a bit old and i have changed my ideas a bit, now even tho i still think Simon would have a soft spot for Bobby, i imagine him as more of a jerk rather then the insecure bully type of character; still liking Bobby by the same reasons, but being just a little less insecure and more of a bitch

Lastly, even tho this headcannon could look very intimate relation between characters, this headcannon is tought as more of a platonic relationship rather then a romantic one, but feel free to use it as such if you want! I don't really mind

in case you are in the mood to feel devastated here’s an alternate way of viewing charles’ response to edwin’s confession:

we know that charles kinda puts edwin on a pedestal- yes they are partners but there is a bit of a hierarchy between them. charles just looks up to and admires edwin in so many ways while constantly looking down on and being really hard on himself. he puts on his big happy persona because he thinks that people wouldn’t like him if they actually got to know him.

so when edwin confesses, it’s like a blow to him. he took his charming persona too far and went and tricked the most important person in the world into thinking he was worthy of love. and it’s worse because he does love edwin in that way, which is exactly why he can’t let him know that. charles still believes that he is like his dad, and he saw exactly what his parents’ relationship did to his mother.

he thinks that loving edwin in the way that he wants to would only cause more pain to this boy who has already been through far more than he deserves. so he blinks back his tears, attempts the same charming smile he’s used all these years, and dishes out the gentlest non-rejection in the history of forever
