Besides the mini games, there weren't really aspects of the changes in FF7 Rebirth that upset me too much. I can get over the additions of Tifa being consumed by a Weapon or the Gi being a more integral part of the story because, well, they're more additions than anything else. Unnecessary additions but additions never the less
(actually that's a lie the entire Glenn plot gets to me but only because if it turns out he's Cloud's long lost father, I will flip my absolute shit).
Then I got to Nibelheim and I honestly got so annoyed that I had to stop. That they changed it from a rebuilt town with people pretending nothing ever happened to a town that's being used as a recovery certain for degrading SOLDIERS and the mayor acknowledged that the Nibelheim Incident happened is insane? How could you take out one of the more horrific and pivotal points of the storyline for both Cloud and Tifa? Like sure yes Tifa is enraged that they rebuilt Nibelheim like it never happened but where's the gaslighting, the unsettling uncanniness of a town that is pretend it has been the same for five years, that a mass murder didn't happen?
There's a stark difference between Tifa going into her home and finding another person living in her room and saying she's always been there and her home being used a clinic. The pain and wrath of her coming home and having her trauma and pain being removed. That she's told to her face 'what happened to you, your family, your friends, that didn't happen, you're crazy' because Shrina HAD to hide what Sephiroth did--because if the world found out what he did, it meant they'd have to find out what SHRINA DID.
And Cloud? Cloud who is already mentally fragile, breaking slowly, coming back home and finding physical proof that everything didn't happen the way he remembered? Lies on top of lies that he can't untangle?
What about how Nibelheim is a central part of the main story??? Undeniable proof of Shrina's power that they can go back into a massacred village, destroy any proof that hundreds of people lived and died there, rebuild it, put actors in to those homes, and pretend like nothing ever happened? Does no one on the writing team see how taking that element out of Rebuilt Nibelhiem changes everything.
God, like the original storyline hit so hard for the player. For hours we're being told by Cloud and Tifa about the devastation of what Sephiroth and Shrina did; we see the physical and mental wounds that they carry from that night, we have a flashback we play through so we know exactly how it felt--and then we arrive at Nibehliem and it's fine. It's what one of the effective parts of the original story--a gut punch that takes the air out of everyone on the team and the audience.
AND THEY DELETED IT?
God, what does that take away from Sephiroth's storyline too?? They acknowledged SOMETHING HAPPENED in NIBELHIEM with HIM. THE WHOLE POINT IS TO HIDE EVERYTHING ABOUT SEPHIROTH AND THE JENOVA PROJECT WHY WOULD SHRINA EVER LET SOMEONE ACKNOWLEDGE WHAT HAPPENED???
The more I think about it, the more this change really pisses me off. I can't understand why they thought changing pretend Nibelhiem's story except that maybe they thought it couldn't be done with the way the upgraded technology works now? The world would have to know that something was wrong with Nibelhiem just pretended everything was okay.
Except, again, no one knew about Nibelhiem except for Tifa and Cloud. Nibelhiem is a small, remote village, no one would care if it suddenly disappeared off the map--and for the most part, we never run into anyone who actually acknowledges Nibelhiem except for Tifa and Cloud. It's, again, why returning to pretend Nibelhiem hits so hard--because it puts Tifa and Cloud's already questionable stories into jeopardy. Whose lying now about this? Tifa? Cloud? Both of them? None??? Can we even trust what we've seen in the story so far?
Or Shinra, this constantly looming shadow, so powerful it can rewrite history and memories.
The thing is they could have kept the clinic thing going if they had just kept up the plotpoint of people in the village DENYING what happened during the Nibelhiem Incident. If instead that guy had just said 'I have no idea who you are or what you mean, you never lived here Tifa' it would have worked so well.
It baffles me and kind of destroyed any generosity I had for the Remake. I overlooked a lot of things because, frankly everything so far was par for the course with Nomura. I expected going in to run into Kingdom Hearts level of absurdity, so when the Whisper plotline hit I was like ah, there it is, that's the over complication of an already complex plotline. It was fine, whatever.
But this? I even see metawise why you would remove the element? Doesn't Tifa have more of a reason to be fucking LIVID? Doesn't Cloud lose even more of grasp on reality? Doesn't Sephiroth kinda of more of a point about them being covering him up like the dirty secret he and JENOVA are--in both his birth and his death? Maybe they thought if they did so the Pretend Nibelheim story, they couldn't reasonable have Cloud explore the surrounding areas and do the stupid side quests. In which case, fucking just don't do that. Not every town had to have a goddamn a sidequest. You sacrificed one of the best parts of your story for SIDEQUESTS?!?!?!?
It's personally one of the worst aspect of the Rebirth for me. I haven't hit past it yet so I don't know if it's the worst part, but it sure as hell made me really dislike the game just for that. I can forgive a lot, I can't forgive this, and I won't.

Is it hyperbolic to say that FF7R is made of the same brain slush that Disney Live Action remakes are? I know FF7R is technically still animated, but I mean, so was The Lion King 2019.
#shut the heck up#ff7#disney#tag talking#watching the nibelhiem part of rebirth with the council and there were sooo many dumb choices#and like looking at the 7r project as a whole it just lacks so moment to moment vision#i know its building to some grand meta-narrative but like individual scenes are so bleh so generic action camera and mocapitis#im happy there are enough people out there who realize the majesty of prerendered backgrounds for storytelling but like squenix doesnt care#also so many scenes that were originally slow and dialogue based turned into mild action setpieces its shtuupid#or the part in the reactor where while Sephiroth has a revelation youre in a different room doing a random valve turning QTE LIKEDSGFJSHD#lord the balance of battles and narrative#people harp on the original for being dated with its late 90sness but theres so much abbrassive rule-of-coolism in 7R#more than a lot me and my friends kept screaming about sephiroths characterization like why in gods green fuck he smiled so much#and one of my friends was like 'maybe this is cloud making things up cause he wants to feel like sephy notices him' and i was likE-#OFC THEN LATE GAME THEYLL EXPLAIN THAT ALL HIS OOC FANSERVICE MANNERISMS AHVE BEEN A ROUSE THE WHOLE TIMEHDSGJF#THEY DO ACTUALLY KNOW HOW TO CHARACTERIZE HIM THEY WERE JUST TORMENTING US OFC!! "You’re safe here with me, I promise." [ from seph. gasp. ]
Tifa backed away until she was as flat as she could against the wall on the opposite end of the room. Sephiroth had been the man that set everything in motion; their enemy. Yet, here he was; a hand placed protectively before her being the only thing between a door -- a portal to who-knows-where and her. Her mind raced - how could she trust a promise from a man who's done against everything they've strived to protect.
Her knees trembled, but she wouldn't lose her footing, especially before him. When her body had been dragged towards the door, he was the reason she didn't get sucked in with the rest of her party. A knot in her throat as the gust from the portal lashed at them. Why had he protected her?
"W-What is that!?" The monk managed, hardly able to keep her distance from the swordsman. How had he gotten there in the knick of time? Was he connected to it somehow?

Deleting stupid replies instead of arguing with someone on the Internet... Perhaps this is a sign of maturity...
#one of these days im gonna make a post detailing why i think the idea that Everything that goes on in the nibelhiem flashback is just Zack#is kinda dumb to me bcuz it feels so obvious to me that its both made of shit zack told cloud And cloud's own wish fulfillment#as well as the trauma and j cells and all that just straight up making him Forget zack#LIKE even after he Remembers Zack's existence in rebirth he immediately slots that into his current understanding of the incident#that being: i was a super cool soldier who fought alongside Sephiroth and now also my best friend zack bcuz he was there too#LIKE THAT FIRST FIGHT ALONE KINDA PROVES THIS IDEA TO ME#cuz that scene of soldier!cloud looking at Sephiroth in awe has who is clearly trooper!cloud behind him making the Exact Same Expression!!!!#by this point in cc zack didnt have the same level of hero worship for Sephiroth that cloud did HE WOULDNT BE LOOKING AT HIM LIKE THAT#fuck i got kinda heated here#i just dont get Why youd wanna reduce the whole flashback down to It Was Entirely Zack The Whole Time#bcuz in my mind its much more interesting and says sooo much about cloud for it to be both fact (zack) and fiction (cloud)#not to mention that trooper!cloud isnt even There for certain scenes so its kinda absurd to imply that he'd have a perfect understanding of#events he Was Not Present For

The reason why Tifa can suplexed things that shouldn't be suplexed is due to mako micro dossing since childhood. Like there no way nibelhiem well isn't contaminated with all that shit.
I love how this is a totally plausible crack explanation for why Tifa and Cloud are so strong pre-Nibelheim incident lol.
*Going down the mountain after coming back from the reactor, Sephiroth stops*
Zack: What's wrong?
Sephiroth: It appears I have sprained my foot, and am unable to walk. Just what I needed. Yet another misfortune to add to this abysmal day.
Tifa: Don't worry, I got you!
*Tifa lifts him up and carries him on her back*
Zack: !?
Sephiroth: Not only do I suspect my whole life has been a lie, but now my body is beginning to betray me as well.
*Tifa shifts him to her hip*
Zack: !!???
Tifa: I'm sure everything will be fine.
Zack: Hey Tifa...my foot hurts too.
Cloud: Say no more.
*Cloud lifts him up*
Zack: WHAT—

FF7 but Nibelhiem is southern for no reason
Cloud speaks like completely normal trooper but the second they enter Nibelheim, his southern accent comes out full force. Sephiroth, by virtue of his Nibelheim roots, is immediately overtaken as well. Oops.
Sephiroth: "So how does it feel? To be home after all this time?"
Cloud (in an unnaturally deep voice, cowboy hat slanted over his eyes): "This ole town just ain't what it used to be, I tell y'hwat."
Zack: "...How come you're talking like that, bud?"
Cloud: "I tell yeh, we're one ole rodeo short of a real cattle drive.
Zack: "...Uh?"
Cloud: "Ma'll pitch a real fit when she sees me. I reckon I've been out longer than a sinner n Vegas."
Zack: "....what's 'Vegas'? Sephiroth can you make sense of--"
[Sephiroth is dressed in flannel, chewing on a piece of wheat while he stares pensively out into the sunset]
Sephiroth: "I reckon we're a couple o' outcasts 'round these parts. No place for a couple of ole cowpokes like us. That there sunfall yonder's a might perfect metaphor. Man gets lost dwellin' on th'past. It creeps on yeh. One man's dawn is 'nother man's sunset. An' this here mission's the tip of the--"

Stupid/lovely/decidedly weird zakkura things because I’m in one of those moods today…
Cloud absolutely has kicked Zack in the shins in order to get to his lips.
They sleep pretty much curled together. Mostly it’s Cloud on his back with Zack passed out across him, sometimes it’s spooning. Either way is fine (Cloud will never admit to liking being held.)
Zack once spat gum into Clouds mouth and Kunsel slapped him.
They joke about Kunsel being the third person in their relationship, but a lot of people don’t know they are joking.
Zack is aware that people call him clouds “scary dog privilege”. He’s not willing to correct them. After Nibelhiem he IS the scary dog anyway.
Nobody expects Cloud to be a catagory five clinger… but he is. Don’t touch him if your names not Zack though. He will punch you.
Zack’s pretty chill about people flirting with Cloud. Unless it’s Roche then the Buster is embedded in the wall and Roche suddenly has bangs.
Cloud is also chill about flirting. Unless it’s Scarlet and then Kunsel has to hold him back.
Zack’s short lived romantics overture with Aerith is a source of great amusement for both Aerith and Cloud. Zack is in endless agony. He should never have let them meet.
In a world where Zack lives people call him Clouds carer. When he gets annoyed about it Tifa says “let me frame it better. You care so Cloud doesn’t have too.” Zack can’t deny that it’s true.
Zack and Clouds Gondola date got them banned from the Godola wheel… no no, you misunderstand. Zack spun them so much he nearly unscrewed the pod from the wheel.
Cid once asked Zack what Cloud was like in bed and Zack scowled at Cloud and said “elusive”.
Barret has walked in on the two of them trying to get Zack into the Corset Andrea gave Cloud… he walked back out again.
Zack once used the buster sword like a cricket bat on Genesis for moving Clouds hair out of his face whilst evil monologuing. That was the day Zack Fair learned that - evil, horrible, good for naught, - degrading Genesis Rhapsodos had memorised Angeal’s Dreams and Honour speech word for word like it was part of Loveless.
Cloud is the perpetrator of cute aggression. He has bitten Zack unwarranted many MANY times.
Zack is not above spraying Cloud in the face with water when he has an “accidental sociopath” moment.
One time Zack forgot the mini spray bottle and instead took Tifa’s glass of water from her hands and threw it in clouds face yelling “ARE YOU CALM YET?” Cloud did, in fact, calm down.
When Cloud gets Mako sickened in Corel Zack plays with his hair until he comes round… he woke up with random braids everywhere.
Vincent is convinced Zack has a summon trapped inside of him. Zack says it’s more likely the pent up anxiety of dating a Strife.
When they get to the moogle Village Zack cries happy tears over Clouds moogle form. Seriously he’s incapacitated by crippling laugh crying for an hour.
These are so dumb.

So every time Cloud goes all puppet-y in Rebirth, his eyes dilate immediately. It doesn't last forever but the initial command triggers it.
We see Sephiroth's eyes dilate twice in the Nibelhiem flashback: once in Shinra Manor, the other just before he destroys the Jenova doll.
Just food for though.

Heya! Just binged your Riptide AU stuff a bit. Love the ideas! Though I'm super curious about if you have any plans for Vincent...
*throws him in the ocean*
Designs definitely not final, but I am happy with the direction so far
After getting in Hojo's way and subsequently disposed of, Vincent is left to the mercy of many many experiments, which was the first time ShinRa had tried modification on an existing person. And it got very out of hand, they went too deep, got too ambitious, and created something they lost control over.
After 'killing' him, they dumped him into the gorge between Nibelhiem and the mountain, where he remained mostly dormant (to his knowledge) for the next 30-ish years.
I'm not sure if he can turn all the way back human, but he isn't a giant sea snake all of the time at least.

Sir Sieghardt Nibel Vagnyr | He/him | 25 | Male
Sieghardt is your second brother and Captain of the Nibelhiem Heath Knights. Unlike Alberich, Sieghardt is a like ghost, often occupying the shadows in your memory. He’s a quiet and stoic person, but is loyal to your brother Alberich above all else. There is a weight he carries with him that no one knows.
Eirik Nibel Neaera | He/Him | 23 | Male
Eirik is your only cousin, the son of your Father's twin brother. He still holds your family responsible for the death of his father and will do anything to avenge him. He's arrogant and hot-headed, but he's also resourceful. Despite being a jerk, he inspires great loyalty in the people who follow him.

A young boy from your childhood. He was a good friend- maybe even your first love, but you two have drifted apart over the years. Now he's a Nibelhiem Heath Knight and heir to a Great House. His passion is second to none and charges into every situation with enthusiastic sincerity- sometimes to his own disadvantage. He hates Sieghardt with every fibre of his being.
Lady Linnet Brynhildr | She/Her | 24 | Female
Linnet is Finn's older sister and childhood friend of your older brothers. She's a part of the renowned Shield Maidens and harbors a flame for Sieghardt, but due to her family's ambitions, nothing becomes of it. Prince Thea ana' Isadora Brigid | She/her | 18 | Female
A young Prince from the neighboring country of Brigid. Thea is one of seven children in line for the throne. She was a good friend and pen pal- maybe even your first love, but she stopped answering your letters one day. Her short stature and demure demeanor causes most people to underestimate her crafty nature.
Medea | She/Her | ??? | Female
The Wizard Rothbart's assistant. She's a woman of many questions and little answers. A flirtatious and beautiful woman, who is easy to like, but hard to trust. There’s something about her sincerity that makes you uneasy. Her smiles never truly meet her eyes.
Helios | He/They | ??? | ???
Helios is a great sorcerer of unknown origins with great knowledge of the occult and the Wastes. Aside from that, no one knows who the fuck this person is.

Definitely one of the most fun things about a prequel is when you get near the end and start watching all the pieces fall together. I'm kinda obsessed with that feeling in fiction. Like it's the same for a tragedy, or even like a really good story that spent a lot of time letting you enjoy the characters and world and then you realize the plot is starting to build to its finale. But that's a very special feeling in a prequel because of the fact it's not just that you know how it ends, you know how it CONTINUES.
FF7 Crisis Core is a favorite just because there are so many layers of tragedy that underlay the beginning of FF7 seeing where they all came from is bonkers. Not to mention Zack, just Zack. This incredibly minor but integral character and seeing him be this bright-eyed bushy-tailed (unknowing war criminal) and watching as he and his good normal, definiteky nit doomed by the narrative buddies Cloud and Sephiroth go on their fun reactor adventure!
Like I specifically remember playing og Crisis Core with my friends and when we got to Nibelhiem such a feeling of dread and disbelief washed over us all. Cause we knew our time in this - what felt like a fun fantasy of getting to see these characters before their lives all imploded in a sci-fi Greek tragedy - was coming to an end. IDK I love that feeling. I love that about tragedies in general but a story like Crisis Core just really scratched that itch. Watching the gears of fate turn in a story.

Cloud, Zack, & Aerith: Fate, Destiny, Friendship, & Love
This is a piece I originally posted on Twitter that I'm sharing here.
I don't think we talk enough about how Cloud feels about Zack, Aerith, her feelings for him, & the conflicted position this must put him in. I think Rebirth purposefully addressed this & there will be resolution for these characters in Part 3.
Like OG, it's clear Aerith has feelings for Cloud. However, the game does not create a mutual romantic subplot between her & Cloud. That development is saved for Tifa (subject for another day). It develops a deep friendship bond & comradery despite Aerith's feelings for Cloud.
In Chapter 11, Cloud recalls a memory of Zack in the Nibelheim Inn. The subject of the memory is specifically their love lives - Zack asking Cloud if he has a girlfriend in town, and then gushing about his own - Aerith. Cloud is visibly shaken by the memory of this information.
His recollections are still messy and tangled by Jenova's interference, but the fact remains that he remembers critical information that is factual - Zack was his friend, he fought with Zack as comrades five years ago, and Zack loved Aerith.
This is an expansion/new development from the OG, where he was not remembered until after the Lifestream scene and after Aerith's death. Bringing this information to light now has huge implications for Cloud's emotional state as well as his character.
(As an aside, it's also worth pointing out that those of us who played Crisis Core know that Cloud, in a similar Nibelhiem inn scene, has a heart-to-heart of his own with Zack about his feelings for the girl he loves - background knowledge that contextualizes things further).
While crossing the Gunnthra River bridge later, Cloud has another Zack memory, This time, it's of the bridge collapse five years ago, and the Jenova conflation causes Cloud to falsely remember that Zack died here, allowing him to continue living his SOLDIER persona delusion.
Cloud specifically laments that he's forgotten his friend, and states Aerith deserves to know what's happened to him. Cloud knows that Zack and Aerith were in love, and he knows from their visit to Zack's parent in Gongaga that Aerith still carries feelings for Zack.
Tifa, knowing Cloud's recollection of events are wrong/corrupted but unable to reconcile why, intercepts Cloud telling Aerith so that he doesn't communicate the wrong information & further exacerbate his deteriorating condition, & so that she can buy time to uncover the truth.
Let's head to the Gold Saucer. It's an interesting narrative decision to have this plot line lead here, which is why I think it was specifically introduced to bring context & eventual resolution to the romantic entanglements of these four characters - Cloud, Tifa, Aerith, & Zack.
On Aerith's date, much like the OG, she waxes poetically about Cloud's similarities to Zack and how she became drawn to him. Unlike OG, though, Cloud has already remembered who Zack is, as well as both his AND Aerith's relationships with him.
Like OG, Aerith laments that now, she wants to be w/ & find the real Cloud. We know the true Cloud has buried romantic feelings for Tifa (again- subject for another day) & so he won't reciprocate. That notwithstanding, Cloud is now also conflicted by his friendship w/ Zack.
It seems to me that Cloud wanted to clear the air about Aerith's advances on him and his relationship and past with Zack. This follows a plot line that started when they first met, and their unwitting conversations about Zack that have threaded throughout their relationship.
I know some fans may interpret that Cloud wants this out in the open so he can make a move on Aerith, but aside from that both being a terrible read on Cloud's character & ignoring the fact that he is still in the throes of an identity crisis, Tifa's date directly debunks this.
On Tifa's date, during an awkward pause in which both characters seem stuck on what to say next, Cloud also brings up their earlier conversation about Zack to see if Tifa told Aerith. This indicates that it's been weighing on his mind, & that he still wants closure about it.
Again, we see that Tifa did tell Aerith, but again, she isn't forthcoming w/ Cloud about this, because of the sensitive nature of the situation & Cloud's incongruent & incorrect memories. The complete truth is not available yet & she doesn't want to make the situation messier.
Cloud brings up that Aerith must still have feelings for Zack - remembering again what both of his friends told him they felt for each other. But Tifa says it's a little more complicated than that - acknowledging that SHE knows that Aerith has feelings for Cloud.
Cloud takes on her meaning and seems somewhat surprised by this, as he physically reacts & looks up. I don't think he's surprised that Aerith likes him (she makes it pretty obvious) but I think he IS surprised that Tifa knows.
This is especially important in a broader context that given the nature of his relationship with Tifa up to that point, from his perspective, is far different from his relationship with Aerith.
It is at this point that Tifa begins to express doubt about being on a date with Cloud, their intimacy, and ultimately, whether their feelings are mutual. Cloud takes this opportunity to quite explicitly dissuade those doubts, both verbally and physically.
So what's next? I'm not doing an analysis of the Ch14 "date" w/ Cloud & Aerith here, but its narrative purpose is to highlight Aerith's complicated internal conflict regarding her grief for Zack & feelings for Cloud before her death. Meanwhile, Zack is still trying to reach her.
Cloud and Tifa may have exchanged mutual feelings during a magical moment before things go south in the broader storyline, but they haven't had their true reunion or reconciliation yet. And neither have Aerith and Zack, or Cloud and Zack, OR Aerith and Cloud, or that matter.
I believe once Cloud is restored, all these relationships will be reconciled & revealed for what they are - romantic relationships or friendships - that were forged by fate & destiny and experienced through trauma, loss, perseverance, and love, all major themes of the game.

Just a random collection of thoughts. all of these are Pre-Nibelhiem. Yandereish? Was hoping maybe writing some of it down would help curb the Sephiroth obsession, don’t think I can reverse 20+ years of obsession though. And Genesis is a little menace, especially to Sephiroth this is facts. I guess slight nsfw? I dunno how to tag these things. Never thought I’d post anything.
*************************************************
“Oh you love me, I know you do y/n.”
Glancing at the clock on your stove then back to the drunk silver hair man at your kitchen table, you realize you’re in for a very long night.

Today’s lecture entails your lack of responsibility, fantastic right? It’s been an hour and you’ve already accepted defeat and agreed to the fact that you were wrong for not answering the phone. However, he’s still complaining. It’s sweet sure, sometimes a bit much. You just can’t stay that mad when he’s worried about you. However it’s almost a bit weird, it’s like he’s tracking your every move.
“I didn’t know you had so much time for me, just imagined you’d be busier than this.” You say trying to contain your smile. “We both have the same, well similar, job. So you know overtime is mandatory.”
“Your schedule said-“ he started but you interrupted.
“My schedule said what? You know my schedule? I’m a Turk not a SOLDIER, how would you know?” Firing questions at him, you look genuinely confused. You know Tseng wouldn’t disclose such information, surely Rufus wouldn’t even entertain the thought.
“I keep track of what’s mine.”

The arguing has been going on since they arrived. Well one couldn’t call it arguing really, Sephiroth was whining. Closing Loveless and setting it on the counter he’s sitting on, Genesis starts to speak, “He’s embarrassing himself in there, I think y/n loves it.”
A notion that Angeal has agreed with numerous times. Sephiroth isn’t going to beg for your forgiveness and affections publicly, but these two feel like they’ve just about seen it all. It’s not that you get a slight kick out of being a little mean to him, he’s just been so damn bad all week. Someone has to hold Sephiroth accountable and he hates that you’re more than willing to do that.

Kicking his feet up on your coffee table, Genesis rests his arms along the back of the couch. Conveniently one of those arms ended up behind you. Is this necessarily a problem? Maybe not. But why the fuck does he act like he owns the place?
Staring at his boots on your table you huff, “Someone’s a bit comfortable huh?”
Sephiroth, who immediately perked up when Genesis’ arm went behind you, couldn’t have been faster to agree. “A little too comfortable in my girlfriend’s home if you ask me.”
Oh. There was that tone of voice again, it’s time to make your escape. Excusing yourself to help Angeal in the kitchen you faintly hear Genesis reply to Sephiroth and you know it was nothing to calm him down.
Leaning against the counter you give a light chuckle. “Should be safer in here with you right? Do you think he’ll ever get over-“ you pause trying to find the proper wording “-that?” There are no proper words, the two of you know what you’re asking.
“We can only hope.” Angeal sighs as Genesis’ laughter rings out.

He fucked up, he knows he fucked up. He also knows you can’t stay mad at him, not that he’ll let you. This is how you ended up in bed with him, getting fucked for hours. He really just wants to make it up to you. He doesn’t mean to upset you he just doesn’t know how to act because you drive him crazy.
Between the sessions of Sephiroth’s balls slapping against your ass and his cum dripping out of you, he pulls you against him. Hands still roaming all over you as he tells you how much he loves you and that he just can’t let you go.
You’re still not sure how he even got in your apartment, he was already there when you got home. Gifts in hand, apology played out in his mind over and over again to make sure it comes out just right, puppy eyes prepared to make you give into his begging. What he didn’t expect was for you to not forgive him, at first at least.
“No…no no no. You can’t do that y/n please.” Shaking his head he stares at you with a mix of confusion and hurt. Don’t make that baby cry, if you keep denying him he just might. But now you see that if he starts crying, he gets violent. You better tell him that everything is okay soon ‘cause fuck you’re not getting that security deposit back. Eventually you calm Sephiroth down, holding his head against your chest, playing with his hair and whispering sweet nothings to him.
He’s going to clean up the mess he’s created, but before that he has to fuck you to sleep right? You’ll talk to him in the morning about seeking help, maybe you’ll do the same.
