CONCEPT DOODLES for an AU I dabbled in with a few friends after the winter king episode but kinda forgot about after the Fionna and Cake finale... I decided to revisit it and explore a little more after coming to terms with everything LOL... So, it's another "Winter King doesn't die immediately after his crown gets nuked" AU, but THIS TIME he's just dying really slowly (like Simon in the Betty episode) and ALSO joins Fionna, Cake, and Simon on their search for magic crowns. There's no logic behind this tbh, we just wanted to put him through The Horrors. And make them all friends. But mostly The Horrors. :) (he only gets to live as a treat, because I think he's funny).

Carmy is insane for this, and I bet he stayed up all night after friends and family. Is this the first episode of season 3? Comes in at 3am and gets to work on getting a star because it's what Sydney wants.

Then he stayed up all night making a contract agreement so Sydney wouldn't leave him after that fridge incident. "I can't waste my time with Claire, but what I can do is stay up all night scribbling like a madman making a menu and a negotiations contract for my partner so she knows we're in it for the long haul"

it's so sad because we go from this beautiful promise of I want to let you fail to suddenly I don't know resentment maybe? Not for Sydney he's just diving into something that he 'hates' and he has 'no idea' why he's doing it. (He knows why. He should speak up).

(this post by @weapon-up-wallflower had me thinking about rodimus' apology towards drift in dying of the light again, and,,, yea. not Fully related to the original post but it got me thinking)

ive always thought drift accepting the apology was one last form of appeasement towards rodimus- or at least less of a genuine acceptance and more of a, "we're probably going to die soon, do i really want rodimus to die thinking i hate him?"

but then they both lived 🤷‍♂️ and it was just easier for drift to fall back into his old role than try to change things. surely this will not cause a build up of resentment in the long run. surely.

feng xin gets seen as someone who's subservient and a blind rule-follower but he didn't really quite come off that way to me in the novel. if he were a total rule-follower he wouldn't cuss with such vulgar words all the time in heaven - but he clearly doesn't care about social etiquette in heaven or elsewhere. he talked back to xie lian on multiple occasions. when xie lian threatened to break up their friendship in book 2, feng xin's response was to laugh and insinuate that xie lian wouldn't survive a day without feng xin. clearly talking back to xie lian. he even punched xie lian in the face in book 4. he disagreed with xie lian's actions in book 4 when xie lian began to do things like nearly kill an innocent mortal just for insulting xie lian, bc this goes against feng xin's own moral compass.

i personally don't see him as a subservient rule-follower but as someone who deeply respects xie lian for xie lian's principles and moral compass (which feng xin agrees with bc they align with feng xin's already-present strong principles of his own). it's not blind following but deep respect out of having shared principles.

Zosan Modern Au where Sanji and Zoro break up. (They get back together dw)

During this break up Zoro sees him with Ace Sanji’s ex BF before Zoro.

Ace always made Zoro insecure in their relationship. So seeing him and Sanji together drives Zoro crazy. So how does Zoro responses?

By going on a date with Yonji.

Zoro didn’t even know they were related. He just saw some dude at the gym that looked like Sanji and he was like “shit he’s so hot.” He didn’t put two and two together.

Sanji does find out about this eventually. He confronts them. Sanji and Yonji are arguing over him and Zoro is like “why are there two Sanji’s fighting over me? And why do I like it so much?”

He can’t tell the difference between them 😂
