Did Your G/Reshade Disappear?
If you’re like me, you went into a panic as GShade completely went away without doing a thing (knowingly). Well don’t worry. We have a resolution!
The Sims/EA updated the EA app and in doing so, it caused the code to delete a file that is used by our favorite overlay/beautiful program.
WHAT TO DO /
You need to check your version of the EA app by going to the top left and clicking "About" and make sure you are running version 13.501.1.6009 the one ending in 6019 is the culprit. Now, if you have 6019, go to EA's website here / https://www.ea.com/ea-app / and download the EA App and click "repair" that will push your application to the 6009 version. Now, go to your GShade control panel, go to installs then add and then "install" it to your game again. So, find it in your Bin, TS4_x64.exe and do your appropriate shaders (if you're on dx9 or 11) and then save. Your game should work appropriately along with GShade once again.
It’s been stated that it might show up one time then go away a second time, if that’s the case simply repeat the steps until it works because over time, it will. If you’re still having issues I highly recommend visiting the GShade discord and they can help you much more in depth!

#river dipping#matthias evanoff#echthroi#ts4#ts4 cas#his juicy thighs spilling (clipping) out of the garters... comically loud gulp#trying to hit that pretty yellow green shade i like#always use matthias’s sim when i do preset work bc he’s pale enough that i can use him as a base kinda#to know how whites show up with the color and bloom shaders#then when i’m happy w how he looks i switch to theo to make sure the preset is still vibrant enough#this passes w flying colors and it’s just my gp preset with a few shaders off and adjusted bloom settings#also matthias has had some face work done… idk if it’s noticeable to anyone else tho 🤷

#river dipping#theodore doe#echthroi#ts4#ts4 edit#ts4 screenshots#cw blood#i had these long rambling tags talking about the logistics of this edit bc i didn't actually want to talk about the edit itself#realized i was avoiding it and just deleted all of them. this is the edit i wanted to make for theo's birthday back in september.#i've worked on this preset/build/pose/edit in small sections for weeks now but finally locked in these past two weeks.#this is fifteen year-old theo in the hallway of his summer boarding school#i’ve talked previously about how theo has these gaps in his memory and struggles with probing questions about his past...#he has a very negative reaction to being asked them and there’s this dread that rises when there's nothing that floats to surface.#like memory is a reel of film left too long out in the sun. overexposed. spotty.#dizzy with all the light in his eyes when he tries to remember what used to fill the gaps.#it gets worse the further back he tries going like something’s sunken in there and he can’t touch his feet to it.#so he doesn’t think about it. he doesn’t follow the rabbit down.#this is only a glimpse of what spills out when a door is left ajar in his mind.#that's all i'll say#my oc...#yeah#quality kind of got nuked despite resizing so zoom if you want to see the details better
