Reading the Guildmaster's Guide to Ravnica after spending a few months in the kink community is a trip.

The first clause of that last sentence is revolving in my brain. "Would be illegal if it weren't consensual?" Uh. Yeah, D&D writing staff. That's how you define the crime of sexual assault. Is this supposed to be a disturbing statement?

The ten guilds of Ravnica are supposed to be treated as social and moral equals, and I know they're technically run by a demon cult at the center, but 1. you should see the other nine guys, 2. those other nine guys all have public faces that enamor them to the general populace or else they wouldn't survive, so the nightclubs can't ALL be murder-torture chambers, and most importantly 3. I can't help but think the Rakdos's social role as "hedonistic entertainers" is contributing to your ick just as much as the demon cult part when you say stuff like this.

might be playing in a Strixhaven dnd campaign as the participant who knows the most about magic the gathering lore. Gonna try to encourage our dm to turn the campaign into a planetrotting adventure as our strixhaven students get to go on excursions and exchange events across the multiverse through omenpaths. study politics and law in Paliano, investigate anatomy with the stitchers of Nephalia, explore the technology and technomancy on Otawara. Each arc could be set on a new plane. Honestly this is getting me ready to just run this myself for another group

If anyone following me is interested in getting into Magic the new commander pre constructed decks are really good, and generally only need a few upgrades if you're looking to make them fully able to compete and function. (I'm on a commander kick rn I have like three decks in the drafts and I fear if this goes on I will have a fourth)
