sorry to send another thought about the cherry magic au so soon, but it’s literally consuming me with Thoughts.

bc Binghe would for real NEVER help his own situation. He’d be shoulder to shoulder with sy in the elevator thinking crazy shit like I want to eat Shen Yuan, consume him so there’s nothing left of him for the world to see. I want him to never exist in the mind of any other person. I want him to never work here again.

okay this popped into my head and demanded to be heard:

modern magic au moshang. shang qinghua is a witch, and in this au witches generally try to summon a familiar in their 20s. these familiars can be any magical creature, from a normal animal with magic abilities to a phoenix to, yes, a demon, whether that demon is more like an animal or more like a person. familiars, however, can deny the binding, since it’s more like an offer than a demand.

shang qinghua manages to summon mobei jun, somehow. he freaks the fuck out because what!! how did he manage to summon a very infamous demon king??? what????

and even more baffling, mobei jun doesn’t decline the binding!! who knows why?? (possibly reincarnation au? mbj knows who sqh is but not the other way around? idk working it out) and instead he just takes over sqh’s apartment. sqh is stressed ™️, as he often is. he goes onto witch forums for advice and everyone else is also baffled except for shen yuan, whose like “lmao same thing happened to me” and sqh is just ????

they bond over inexplicably having demon lord familiars while sqh tries to figure out what the hell is going on

yes i do plan on writing this. very soon. i may or may not be putting everything to the side (except my dragon!mbj fic) in order to work on this one instead.

In a modern AU, at a party:

Wangxian would be that couple that are each doing their own thing but they shamelessly smack each other's butt every time they pass each other. Later in the night someone will find them f*cking in the linen closet.

HuaLian would be that couple that make everyone uncomfortable with their PDA and babytalk, their attempts at socializing always end up in them ignoring the third party in favor of each other, so people stop even trying. They're the first ones to leave the party, their bed is more interesting anyway.

BingQiu would be the couple making a scene every ten minutes. One moment they're screaming at each other, the next they're making out in front of everyone. The host will eventually find them f*cking in the master bedroom long after everyone has left.

MoShang don't even look like a couple, actually everyone is sure they hate each other, until someone finds them furiously making out in the garden. Mating in someone else's territory is below them, so they'll wait to get home for that.

more inspiration from the brothers sun for a modern take on shen mafia au- mobei jun's family is also a part of the mafia and airplane got roped into working for mbj while selling drugs + committing tax evasion. cucumber-bro always told him that smth bad could happen to him if he keeps up that business and lo and behold, he was right. he doesnt tell him because 1) he doesnt want to hear the long-winded "i told you so" rant and 2) he doesnt want to admit this, but he cares about his only real friend anti-fan enough to not want him to get roped into this mess too. give him plausible deniability and whatever. he thought he was just selling weed so he should be fine. im gonna have to watch brothers sun again because my thoughts are not coherent rn. moshang will happen eventually and binghe will go through his inevitable bingmei-ification.

I forgot the name of the fanfic, when I try finding it with tags IT AIN'T POPPING OUT😭😭 THE FIC WAS LIKE A WHOLESOME ONE COOKING ONE AND MODERN AU IT'S LIKE THIS qinghua is a single parent to luo binghe who Is originally his nephew(umm maybe not I don't remember well lol) qinghua suck at cooking but one day he discover a cooking channel(spoiler alert mobei jun cooking channel lol) he find that the cooking videos was easy convenient not that hard and start to follow the channel cooking lesson he now doesn't suck at cooking lol, one day he meet the mobei jun when at the grocery store while shopping for ingredients ( I forgot to mention that mobei jun doesn't show his face on the video pretty sure just his hands and and asmr or sound lol) qinghua recognize the hands to be the owner of the yt cooking channel he follow and idk the rest they just got closer and closer and start living together(pretty sure they date too) and at the end of the fic qinghua and luo binghe now help mobei jun with his cooking channel you can sometimes see luo binghe tiny hands and he keep appearing a lot after that and also qinghua voice sometimes can be heard while helping recording the videos!!! Everyone speculate that qinghua is his partner with the tiny child (luo binghe) being mobei son(but yea he is lol)

1: Untitled, dragon!MBJx adventurer SQH

Summary: Shang Qinghua is part of the Cang Qiong Adventurer's Guild. He has been sent on a mission to investigate a mountain where there have been supposed dragon sightings recently. Things go wrong, and Shang Qinghua has to find shelter from a blizzard in a random cave. In that cave, he just so happens to find the dragon he was looking for.

Favorite part (so far):

"Of course, Shen Qingqiu had been the one to suggest Shang Qinghua go. Why couldn’t Shen Qingqiu go? He was too busy with his werewolf husband!! Apparently, the full moon was coming up and his husband needed his full attention. He used the excuse that Luo Binghe would go on a rampage if Shen Qingqiu didn’t tend to him, but Shang Qinghua was fairly certain that was just an excuse to get some time off with his husband. So that left Shang Qinghua to go look for a dragon in this icy wasteland!"

2: Untitled, exploration of MBJ's teleportation ability

Summary: Mobei Jun's teleportation ability relies on his ability to control shadows. It's an ability unique to him, and he has always kept it to himself. However, he finds himself wanting to share it with Shang Qinqhua.

Favorite part (so far):

"The shadows had always listened to Mobei Jun. He could call upon them and travel through them as easily as he could ice. Even amongst his kin, this ability had always been unique to him. Even Luo Binghe, the only other demon Mobei Jun had ever met who could teleport, relied on his ridiculous sword in order to do so. The shadows were something for Mobei Jun alone.

But now, he wished to share them with someone for the first time. With Shang Qinghua."

Summary: Shang Qinghua should have summoned a familiar years ago. Everyone has been pestering him as to why he hasn't yet. Finally, he gets sick of all the questioning, so he decided to summon a familiar. He expects something simple, like a rodent or maybe a cat if he's lucky. But what's this??? He managed to summon a demon lord?? And the demon lord agreed to be his familiar?!

And then he... just like that version of himself a bit unhuman kinda ethereal so he continues with the platinum and experiment a bit with his hair every now and then
