#Marvel #Marvel comics #Phases of the Moon Knight #Moon Knight comics #latest release #Moon Knight #Nakia Hunam #coming out swinging criticizing both the bourgeoisie AND populism is a bold choice #but gosh there’s just a lot of biting commentary here in general of both colonialism and the colonized #I refuse to dig and see what kind of wild takes people are making about this story but I can bet it’s made people uncomfortable #probably raised questions of who gets to make such criticism #because yeah we can all agree that colonial kidnapping of great artifacts is a travesty #cough cough the British Museum being the most infamous offender cough cough cough #but I have seen (not saying I endorse it) push back saying that by painting colonial powers as solely swooping in #and stealing artifacts negates the active role some members of the colonized population had in the industry #which some people feel is patronizing and creates an over-simplified view of history #other people still will push back against THAT by saying the economic power imbalance between colonized #and colonizer inevitably leads to the latter taking advantage of the former including in the archeological industry #I’ve seen some parallels with the environmental question #a colonizing power will come in and raze the land/extract wealth in minerals and ancient treasures #then a century later turn around criticize formerly colonized countries for clearing land for farming or trafficking artifacts #with some representatives of the latter saying «you ruined us now it’s our turn to try and do what we can to develop»#there’s also something there about formerly colonized countries with rich histories losing irreplaceable goods due to political instability #with a history of colonization not being able to be discounted as a major contributor to that instability #anyway it’s a tough topic and as per always please take my ramblings with the biggest grain of salt you’ve ever seen #what I do know is I would love for Nakia and Layla and Marlene (maybe even the Moon Knight What If..? version?) to have tea together

3 Ships You Like: Hmm. I really don't ship anymore, other than OCs. Fallen London is kind of bereft of in-game ships; it's all OC/game chars. Harvestar's Sunless Skies Amelia/Driver is awesome though. Maybe Paul/Chani in honor of Dune 2 coming out? So many fucking problems with that ship, lol. Hm. Jesper/Wylan from Six of Crows 'cause I can't think of another ship.

First Ship Ever: Jenna/Balto from Balto. :') Actually no, if we're going REALLY far back, it would've been adult!Napoleon/Nancy from the Napoleon movie 1995 which was my FIRST FORAY INTO FANFIC and I started looking online for 'places to post stories'. God, I forgot about that. If I'd been older when I was into Call of the Wild I probably would've shipped Dave/Buck. Listen. I had a very active imagination and was trapped indoors with a bunch of books. What do you want from me?

#I totally forgot my Nancy/Napoleon story existed. God that was incredible of 8 year old me. I was like you know what this Aussie #dog needs is to go back to the outback with his bird buddy and dingo girlfriend. I did NOT learn the lesson I was supposed to #from that movie lmfao. Also the fact I remember Dave's name from Call of the Wild??????#If nobody else remembers Dave he was one of the rear dogs from the mail team who got sold to the rich dumbasses with Buck.#He was an older dog and one of the first ones to die when they stopped feeding them. It was really sad. I'd totally write a oneshot #for him and Buck where instead of dying they run away and end up in the wild or with a retired miner together.#I named a stuffed animal after Dave. :( RIP Dave.

Le Sahara et le sub-Sahara gangrené par les trafics, l'engagement djihadiste et l'infantilisation des populations touaregs, la solution reste à trouver sinon à pratiquer. Nous y sommes dans une impasse ! Véto américain ?...

l'Afrique de l'ouest, division avec offense islamiste contre les populations du sud chrétiennes, comment ne pas prendre parti, comment n'être pas partisan ? Les ingérences moyen-orientales dans la région n'y sont peut-être pas absentes dans la détérioration des situations locales. Qu'y peut la diplomatie française et européenne ? Peu, bien peu...

L'Afrique équatoriale entre Boko Haram et la société de sécurité privée Wagner, les positions de la France n'y est pas des plus confortables.

L'Afrique centrale, Congos et région des lacs y sont indissociables par l'histoire et la dramatique actualité. Pour les Congos il faut craindre le véto américain. Pour les lacs rien ne se fera sans les populations Houtous, tout se fait sans elles !

La France n'y a pas les leviers d'autrefois, la Belgique et l'Europe pourraient nous aider à résoudre ces équations difficiles !?

Reste l'Afrique australe où rien n'est facile ou profitable, où tout peut devenir facile et, aussi, profitable...
