The rain was falling around Lloyd as he blankly looked over the balcony and into the busy streets on the busy city. He often stood here, just wondering what would happen if he jumped off and ended it all… would anyone miss him? No. No one would. 

He was letting him tired mind wonder in this moment of sorrow. He thought about many things… Nya, The others, His parents, Master Wu… He was thinking about it. How this was all his fault. If he wasn’t the fucking green ninja none of this would’ve happened. Nya would still be here if he wasn’t a shitty leader or friend. 

He wonders how different life would be if he hadn’t gotten kicked out of Darklys… would Nya still be here? Yes. She would. Because then Lloyd likely wouldn’t have become the green ninja and so she wouldn’t of had the sacrifice herself for his stupidity. 

Hair falls in his face but he doesn’t have the strength to move it… he’s so tired and his wrists sting so badly and he’s so fucking tired form being unable to get sleep without having night terrors. But he deserves it, does he not? He doesn’t deserve to be content and happy in life. Not after he was the reason Nya, his (adopted) sister, is gone. 

Everyone probably hates him. Why hasn’t Brad broke up with him? He’s a monster. He killed his own sister. All he does is kill. His father, Harumi, Zane with the overlord, Morro, and… Nya. He could’ve saved all these people or taken their place and things would’ve been so much better. But no, their paying the price. The price he deserves, not them…. Okay maybe Morro does deserve to die… but… Even if he did hurt Lloyd so much, Lloyd still feels sick thinking like how Morro does. 

“You’re going to get sick like this, Lloyd…”

The sudden voice made Lloyd jump and he quickly looked back into the apartment balcony door to see Brad, his boyfriend, give him a worried look… Lloyd still can’t get that look out of his face from when Brad “saved him” from committing. The absolute terror and sadness Brad had in his eyes that day… it as only a couple of weeks ago. Lloyd feels like a absolute dick for making Brad so worried. He’s such a burden for Brad. He should just jump. Maybe this time nothing will be in his way and he would make Brad so much happier.

Lloyd flinches a bit when Brad took Lloyds hand in his. Gently intertwining their fingers and giving Lloyd a soft smile. He gently pulled Lloyd into the apartment and closed the balcony door behind him. Brad pulled Lloyd to the couch, which Lloyd followed him with hollow eyes that kept their gaze on the ground. 

Lloyd didn’t say or do anything as Brad sat him on the couch with a soft but worried expression. Ever since Lloyds last attempt Brad has been even more protective and watchful of Lloyd. 

His dull green eyes looked up to see Brad walk into their bedroom and walk out with a blanket a second later. When Brad walked up to Lloyd he draped it across his shoulders and Lloyd looked to the ground as Brads soft blue eyes tried to lock with his.

Brad gently sighed and plopped on the couch next to his blonde lover. The blue eyed boy wrapped his fingers around the green eyed boy’s. A look of love was on Brads face as he looked at the beautiful blonde. 

“Do you want to talk about it Lloyd…?”

Brad tried to tilt his head so he could be in Lloyd’s field of vision but Lloyd turned his head to the side so he couldn’t look at brad. Lloyds shoulders tensed and he shook his head.

Brad was upset but he knew it would only get better if Lloyd talked about it, he gently squeezed Lloyds hand in his and rubbed his thumb across the back of Lloyds hand as he said in a soft voice.

“Please, I just want to help.”

Lloyd knew that Brad wouldn’t stop until Lloyd told him what was bothering him so Lloyd just sighed and leaned onto Brads side and whispered with his voice filled with guilt.

“I was thinking about Nya… and how different things would’ve been if I was never kicked out of Darklys. Like… would I still be the green ninja? Would Nya still be here? Just so many questions….”

Brad flinched as Lloyd mentioned Darklys, the place was hard for them both. But especially Lloyd. The teachers knew how good Lloyd was so they thought that beating it into him would “fix” him. It didn’t. It just made him more traumatized. 

So, Brad thought for a moment of how to respond to Lloyd. He wrapped his arm around Lloyds shoulders and kissed his cheek, Lloyd glanced at Brad with that but then looked away. Brad understood how much pressure Lloyd put on himself… so he didn’t mind. He knew Lloyd loved him.

“Lloyd… I think, in full honesty, being kicked out of Darklys was honestly the best thing for you… I don’t think you would’ve… I don’t think you would’ve survived. They were so brutal, and to you the most. You… You were so skinny and always had cuts and bruises… And with Nya. That wasn’t your fault. It was no one’s. Nya choose to do that, and I don’t think she would want you to blame yourself for her decision.”

Lloyd sat quietly thinking about it, he laid his head on Brads shoulder as he looked up at Brad. He tensed when Brad mentioned how harsh Darklys was… he understood why Brad thought that, but maybe just give Lloyd a few years and he would’ve been just like his father in that hellhole. 

Then he thought about what Brad said about Nya, and how she wouldn’t want him to blame himself. Now, he can see that. But that doesn’t stop him. He feels like a failure, and that’s never going to go away. He’s the leader. It’s supposed to be his role to keep everyone safe, and he failed. He couldn’t save her. He quit when she needed him most…. ninja never quit? Well he must not be a ninja then. 

Brad carried his fingers through Lloyds soft blonde hair, and kissed his forehead. Lloyd felt like melting at the affection. But at the same time he felt like yelling at Brad and telling him to stop, Lloyd doesn’t deserve this. He doesn’t deserve Brad. Or anyone for a matter of fact. 

Instead of doing anything though Lloyd just laid in Brads arms. He was still a bit wet and shaking from standing in the rain… Brad was right, Lloyd would get sick… great. 

He wrapped the blanket from Brad more around himself and then sneezed. His noise started to leak and Brad playfully rolled his eyes and joked to Lloyd.

“Now, what was it I said about you getting sick by standing out there?”

Lloyd just whined in response and Brad playfully rolled his eyes. He stood up and handed his hand out to Lloyd as he smiled to him.

“Let’s go get you cleaned up.”

The ninja think Lloyd has a twin brother after seeing an old photo of a pair of blonde and brunette teenagers in an old album.

They completely forgot about the fact that the (really old) picture held two teenagers and is a photo they don’t remember. And that Lloyd didn’t become a teenager under the most normal of ways.

After theorising for an entire night after sending Lloyd on a random mission, they came to the conclusion that Lloyd’s long lost twin must be living on the streets, like Lloyd once was. And since Lloyd was evil on the streets before living with the ninja, only to then become the most good person alive, then by magical twin logic Lloyd’s twin is the actual evil one with a traumatic backstory.

In hopes of not letting Lloyd remember (they assume he either chooses to hide those memories in pain or he has amnesia) of his evil and having left him behind family member number 2 (3 on the second one) they go out searching for a brunette teenage evil whose trying to take over the world in a random village.

After a whole week of searching they found squat and Lloyd and Wu got tired of it all, and cornered them to spill the truth. Shockingly enough, it was Zane who was feeling the most pressure over the secret and blurted it out with a little of pressure. Before crying out apologies over not finding his evil twin brother and saving him from the “DARK VISCOUS PATH GARAMDON WAS FORCED DOWNNN IT WAS ALL OUR FAULTSSSSS” as he sobbed.

Wu and Lloyd, rightfully confused, and very concerned because to be perfectly honest this would be expected of their family after Morro was hidden from them (Wu please don’t have any more secret hidden children) and how they are in general, call Misako and Garmadon.

Garmadon screams and Misako is very much prepared to murder everyone, because she can remember her own pregnancy thank you very much. Until, well, she remembers the family she joined. And the job she has. And then when the Ninja are convinced something is up, and even Lloyd is nearing the same state his father and Zane are in, with Wu questioning he should actually go through that old scrapped plan to kidnap Morro from the Departed realm if this random twin is also dead, Misako yells at them all to be quiet and wait for her and Garmadon to show up. Harumi can be heard cackling in the background when they all end the call.

When Misako and Garmadon arrive, the ninja and co are found completely silent. Misako is already sick of it all and Garmadon look like he might strangle the ninja for answers, so she just straight up asks them what made them convinced Lloyd has a twin.

Lloyd, Wu, Garmadon and Misako all stare at the ninja, who in turn sweat. Slowly, Nya gets up to grab a book off the shelf they hid it between.

And when they opened it to the page the picture was in, they were all silent as they absorbed it all in.

Then Wu snorted, and it became chaos after. Garmadon was both laughing his ass off and cussing them all out. Misako was muffling her own snorts behind her hands, shaking as she struggles to hold herself up on a wall, the ninja are staring completely baffled as Wu is giggling into his hat, and Lloyd is glaring confused between the two people in the picture, before slowly looking up and asking “is…is this?…”

The ninja are even more confused and even a little offended by that, and Kai starts pointing at it all like “Its your evil twin! I swear it!! Who..ahem, looks a lot like a certain old classmate right-”

And Wu just gets up, grabs the album, looks at Garmadon, and says “Lloyd really does look similar to us, doesn’t he?”

And Garmadon, who was wondering if he should stab the ninja after giving him such a huge scare, scoffs and says “Of course he doesn’t, he looks exactly like Misako!” And then looks at the picture and says “…Though, he does have my amazing hair, and your ugly eyebrows.” Lloyd takes zero offence and believes it a compliment when it comes to him.

It takes a second more of silence before Misako begins snorting again at the ninja’s faces when they realise.

Jay’s jaw is dropped, Cole is staring between Garmadon and Lloyd, Zane begins scanning the photos with Wu and Garmadon’s face, Nya is trying to ask for an actual explanation, Kai is frozen, and Lloyd.

Lloyd literally falls on the ground in relief. He’s had enough family drama to deal with, no more is necessary.

To me it's so incredibly obvious, considering the whole christofern thing, that when garmadon says harumi is like a daughter to him, it's another example of garmadon projecting his subconcious fatherly feelings towards lloyd on a "safe" party. "Safe" because as far as he's concerned in most instances of him saying this, she's dead and/or out of his life and can no longer express anything towards him (and when she was alive she was near completely subservient to him). Just like the fern, which cannot express complex feelings or frustration or anything that the actual living, present Lloyd can and very much does express. It does not actually mean that garmadon "adopted" harumi or is fatherlike towards her in any fashion, because as was obviously shown their relationship was one of near pure transaction - Garmadon treated her like an underling, and harumi idolized and dehumanized him. It's an interesting dynamic for sure, but it consistently baffles me when people still take the idea that garm is effectively harumi's adoptive father at face value.

Y'all, Ice Emperor and Emperor Garmadon situations are ganuinely so fucking similar like:

-Were good guys before death/disappearance

-Had a memory loss (Garm due to resurrection bringing back only the Oni half and Zane due to Vex wiping his memory)

-Were corrupted by an outside force (Zane by the scroll, Garm by the venom)

-Someone else was constantly pulling the strings on the background, puppeting them (Vex and Harumi)

-Easily manipulated (memory loss and corruption placing them in a vulnerable position)

-Lloyd being involved in defeating them (give this man a break already)

-Both created a dangerous being that was heavily involved in controlling/destroying the area they ruled (Boreal and Colossus)

So basically after s11 Zane would be capable of understanding the situation Garmadon was in.

The ninja try to put some common sense in Lloyd regarding Harumi

After season 16 finale:

Cole: So….Lloyd, about sending Harumi to Kryptarium for life-

Lloyd: No. We’re not doing that.

Cole: Oh come on Lloyd. If you would just listen to reason-

Lloyd: No. We’ve had this conversation before and she’s still staying.

Zane: Lloyd….why is Harumi walking around the monastery?

Lloyd: She’s just helping. Rebuilding the monastery and all. I invited her over to stay for a while after it’s finished.

Zane: I highly recommend not letting a ex-supervillain stay at the monastary and letting her walk around freely.

Lloyd: She’s helping! It’s just like with Garmadon. He changed why can’t we trust her?

Zane: Even you don’t trust Garmadon.

Lloyd. It’s different. It’s just for a little while. Then again it wouldn’t be too bad if she stayed here for longer-

Everyone collectively from across the monastary: No!

Jay: So Lloyd! Any idea when Harumi is moving out? In a week? Two weeks? A few days? Tomorrow?

Lloyd: She hasn’t said anything about it yet. Give her time. Maybe a month? Probably longer. But it doesn’t matter.

Jay: Oh really….a month…..we’ll do you mind kind of nudging her towards moving out. Possibly soon. Very soon. Like this week? Or tomorrow? Please? Because-well-I’ve kind of been feeling scared even in my own home and get a mini heart attack every time I see her so I was thinking…..

Lloyd sighing: Jay, I’m not going to force her out. And you have no reason to be scared of her. Everything will be fine.

Jay: Really? REALLY? I have no reason to be scared! She tried to kill me! TWICE! So I can’t be sure! Sorry for being a little traumatized from that and not trusting her! And you out of anyone should know! She traumatized you the most! And-*Presume hour long rant*

Kai: Okay listen up Lloyd. As your cooler older brother figure it is my responsibility to make sure you know everything on how to make it in this big world. But that also means I have say the tough things sometimes so I’m going to be straight with you. Stop simping over your evil ex-girlfriend!

Lloyd: What-no! I’m not doing that! Harumi and I are just friends!

Kai: Raise your standards Lloyd! You can do better than that!

After the dirty looks they gave her at the end when Lloyd got off the dragon with her you cannot tell me they just forgave her.

I know this is probably completely out of character but this was too funny not to write.

My "Lord garmadon is a part of the Crystal Council au" just got an angsty update.

Mentioned auto-cannibalism BTW (only breif buuut)

Garmadon starts to hear the overlords voice talking and taunting and tempting him through ghostly whispers, soething of which makes him think he hears the Overlord from his hand. His biten hand.

Delusional, hungry, tired, and anxious from the overwhelming build-up of evil he can feel, he cuts his forearm off in what remained of the temple of ressurection (upon listening to Butchers Vanity, it turns out I decided he would eat his own arm upin it's removal..)

The pain leaves him vulnerable, and the overlord takes him as his fith and final servant. Garmadon is beyond devoid of life and is basically stone amongst the rest of them, acting more like a silent backup to garumis second in command. (This leads up to an interesting arc for harumi to see her "god" nothing but a dead puppet with blood dripping down his face almost constantly.)

Anyway, when Garmadon is taken by the overlord Wu starts having horrible hallucinations and nightmare if his brother standing right infornt of him in the shadows, his glowing eyes dark, tired, and blank but his glare is pain ridden. Within these terrors, Wu watches as the hand Garmadon cut off pushes itself out of his brother mouth, reaching for Wu with a desperate tremble...

He always wakes up and immediately starts to search for his brother upon last sightings, but it only leads him to the former temple of ressurection- the temple now being wrecked as if it had been attacked.. maybe a certain oni wasn't very happy with the voices in his head?

With Garmadon bow pretty much back at square 1 of his revival (Quiet, complacent..) Lloyd has to struggle with his reawaken trauma, Harumi has to reconsider her decisions, and Wu has to fight against his loss of his brother..

In the final fight of crystallised, Garmadon finds his will to serve the side of good upon having the weight of his existence thrown down on him like a sledge hammer upon a glass table.

Garmadon's attack to retaliate for the multitudes of soul wrecking trauma he had faced in the recent months from the overlord alone, only to find the overlord alone was the reason for his whole life of suffering, did not end well for the oni and left him beaten and weak to where he was dying in Lloyd’s arms.

Lloyd, overwhelmed, terrified, and now heartbroken, he can't avoid an oni form moment of which ends with him spying the body of his father now being held by harumi as he splutters for breath. The sight of this in the crystals' reflection causes Lloyd to look hopelessly at his father before being beaten back and knocked from his oni form..

In the end, Lloyd finds peace with his oni form in the way that the Ninja made peace with their lost powers in that final scene and they rebuild their life with Wu and Garmadon being seen eith each other with Garmadon using his brother as a support for walking..

Hello!! I have a question about Harumi, it is true that's she's CANONLY was an umgadi? I saw Tanya's intros with Kuai Liang about her, I thought Harumi have experiences with outworld but, I wonder if Tanya the only one who knows her in Outworld?

I believe everybody agrees at this point that this is 100% canon confirmation that Harumi was the one who crossed Realms and went to Outworld and that's where she and Tanya met!

Maybe Tanya went to Earthrealm to help Johnny with his movies, but it's much more likely that he kept going to Outworld instead.

Plus, she clearly has known Harumi for a while, even longer than she knows Kuai! (Which is precisely what she's teasing him about, that they have a common friend)

As to, is Tanya the only Outworlder who knows Harumi? I think she's the only Outworlder *from the roster* who knows her, Kitana mentions her in a intro but I don't think she knows her personally, cause there's another intro that someone (I think Smoke?) Compares her to Harumi and she's curious to what he means, if they knew each other Kitana would probably get the comparison!

I strongly believe Harumi went to Outworld on a mission (why else would she be there?) And worked with Tanya. The Umgadi are a Sisterhood, a group, they fight together and go on missions together, so there's a big chance Harumi tagged along an Umgadi group and therefore all of them know her! (I so hope Khameleon was in this group too👀)

Kuai: You still haven't told me how you know Harumi.

Tanya: Only she can tell you.

This dialogue is interesting! I mean, why the secrecy here, Tanya?👀

I saw some folks theorise Tanya is implying she and Harumi were a thing, but as much as I am a big supporter of Harumi being into girls (lol, not only a supporter, FrozenBlossom is one of my greatest feats and I pride myself of it! 🌺❄️) I don't think that's the nature of their relationship!

As we all know, Tanya can't date because of her vows as Umgadi, and her biggest struggle is that she wants to remain faithful to her Goddess and her sisterhood but also wants follow the wishes of her heart (aka, Mileena)!

That's such a HUGE part of her character, and I think it would take much of its impact if she had already broken her vow with Harumi, you know?

To all Taleena shippers reading this, I need to know if there's already a Modern AU where Tanya is a religious queer kid struggling with staying faithful to her beliefs and true to herself!

And if there's someone out there who ships Harumi x Tanya, know that I would feast on your content, I'd very much ship them in fanon!

Now, as to what I actually think she means: She's teasing Kuai (and lightly scolding him too)!

I think she meant that as in "you've been distant for a while, how about you take some time to learn what you have missed out from your bride’s (my bestie's) life, huh?"

And yeah, I think it's a valid thing to say! Kuai inserted himself back into Harumi's life in the most abrupt way possible! And there's no doubt helping him brought a big change to her life.

She's done so much for him. It's only fair that he dedicates some time to keep up and get to know her better!

holy shit i've spent the past four real life days trying to beat a minigame in stardew valley and i couldn't beat it until today i was doing it and i zoned out while thinking really hard about the logistics of vengestone production and distribution prior to the events of crystalized and i beat it moral of the story zone out and think about a very specific aspect of ninjago you can accomplish anything

honestly, when i first saw sora's backstory, i didnt react much, but now im noticing everything and its just really sad to think about

see this little kid who was full of hope? see this girl, that was just an innocent kid full of life, having that one role model that every kid had in some point of their lives?

this girl was then stripped away from everything she loved the moment she realized the truth, that this "role model" of hers was abusing poor innocent creatures, that their people have been brainwashed by this so-called emperess she actually used to follow, having your own parents shun you and take away everything you had and isolate you just because you knew the truth, and said truth wasnt just something bad, no, it was a fucking nightmare to think about, imagine taking that all in at 10

if the merge never happend, she would've been stuck in that sucker of a realm her whole life. she wouldve never been able to continue her childhood, her love for tech, nothing just absolutely nothing. she wouldve been locked away and alone forever, she wouldnt even have her own family by her side

the fact she didnt even hesitate to leave when the merge happend is heartbreaking, she was so fucking young, and was treated so poorly by everyone. imagine staying like that for probably months. she even named herself after that freaking dragon to respect her.

and as someone who actually experienced what sora had to endure when i was a kid, being shunned by my family for nearly a year during that time, i just have to point out that:

ana and sora are two completely different charcters.

when ana left, she became sora. a completely new person that was an ending with a new beginning, seeds that became remenants.

I know alot of people will disagree with me and say that lloyd had a tougher backstory, or maybe harumi, etc, but every charcter experienced something the other wouldnt handle, making no tragedy rougher than the other
