What dynasty are wuxia hanfu based off? The ones in The Untamed and Word Of Honor look cool but I can't tell which dynasty they're based off

It depends on the story/show :D

Wuxia shows can be from any dynasty, or even no dynasty at all. There's a Chinese term called "架空" （jiakong), essentially it means the story takes place in a fictional time period that doesn't actually exist in history. Stories that are "jiakong" have a lot of leeway when it comes to clothing, hair, settings, etc. because the writer/director can essentially do whatever they want.

Xianxia stories (like The Untamed) tend to be "jiakong" because immortals don't actually exist. To put Xianxia stories into actual history, the writer would have to make a lot of changes to what actually happened in history, which can get messy, so most writers choose to "jiakong" the time period just to make things easier.

Wuxia stories (like Word of Honor) can be "jiakong" or set in a particular dynasty. In the case of Word of Honor, it's "jiakong".

Because of that, the Hanfu designs for both shows are a mixed batch. I don't think the costume designers had any dynasty in mind when designing these clothes and instead just went with a basic "look" of Hanfu (long sleeves, long robes) and worked from there.

(If I get any of the characters' names wrong, please forgive me, it's been a while since I saw these shows OTL)

For example, in the pic below this style of flipped out collar worn by A-Xu doesn't fit with any Hanfu styles I'm aware of. The only flipped-out collar I know of is sometimes when wearing quju robes (pic 2,3) of the Qin/Han Dynasties, and he's definitely not wearing a quju.

【EDIT】 The collar of Tang Dynasty robes could be worn flipped outwards to reveal the semi-sleeve inside, but that's not the style A-Xu is wearing here.

Also the long slits in the bottom of the robes they're wearing, some Hanfu styles from the Tang Dynasty and onward do have slits but they were one on either side, and possibly one at the back, more commonly seen with round-collared robes (though not always).

Here Wen Kexing has on a quling (turtle-neck collared) undershirt which is seen in Han/Weijin Dynasties, but then the white robe has a flipped out collar. A-Xu's entire outfit is...lol, I think he's purposely wearing his collar loose like that to portray that he didn't really care about his appearance but technically no collar should be so low as that light-blue robe he's wearing. I don't think that robe actually has a defined collar, the fabric is just loosely gathered but there's no collar "cuff".

In this pic, Wen Kexing has a round collared robe which is seen in Tang, Song, Ming, but then the sleeve is like a half-shoulder vest rather than full sleeve, and that's also not seen in any Hanfu styles.

...Or is that one robe? Is the sleeve connected to that shoulder piece? Because it looks like the robe he has underneath is red (from the collar). I can't tell, but either way, that shoulder design is not a style found in any Hanfu of a particular dynasty.

This couple's wedding outfit is influenced by a mix of Song and Ming Dynasty. She's wearing green, usually seen in Song Dynasty, but her collar is a criss-crossed collar which would be Ming (Song would be like pic 3 where the woman is wearing a low-collared top rather than a high-collared robe). She's missing the "xiapei (霞帔)" which is that strip of fabric draped on the shoulders (pic 4), but it looks like the costume designer put a strip of red along the collar to give an illusion of wearing xiapei.

For the groom, rather than the official round-collar robe he's wearing a cross-collared robe, and his red is more of a blue-ish tint. Usually wedding robes, if red, are a bright red (literally called "China red" in China, xDD).

For this pic below, it's a 1-piece robe with collar piece going across the chest, then straight down from the waist. It could be a Tang or Song style Hanfu, but the sleeves, the belt, and the overall fit of the clothing isn't quite right.

The Untamed made a lot of their clothes really form-fitting against the actors, that's actually not a good fit for Hanfu in general. You want a nice loose fit, even if the clothing is "form-fitting" it's not meant to stick to your frame. Because of this, the clothing in the Untamed always appear a size or two too small (Word of Honor did a better job of sizing their clothes). If they were wearing today's clothing then it's no problem, but for Hanfu it's too tight >_< Then again, that's probably just the style they were going for so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This black jacket/vest definitely was just created for a "cool" aesthetic. Xianxia/Wuxia shows love doing this broad shoulder vest garment, in actual Hanfu there ARE garments that look similar but these shows really run with it.

Here, Jinguang Yao (it's Yao, right?) is wearing a round-collared robe which was popular in Tang, Song, and Ming. The outer jacket and the material (it looks like brocade rather than soft silk) makes me lean towards Ming Dynasty for this outfit.

It also has an emblem piece on the chest which makes me think of the Mandarin Square robe during the Ming Dynasty (work attire for court officials) except: 1) Mandarin squares are embroidered separately then sewn onto the robe, this looks like it was weaved into the fabric 2) Mandarin Square robes in Ming Dynast were red 3) This emblem is round instead of square

So I would say they took inspiration from the Mandarin Square robe but changed aspects to make it fit into the show better (I think the show kept most characters in lighter colours to contrast with Wei Wuxian's darker, bold colours).

There's also things like the buildings, props, etc. to consider if we were to really dig into dynasties. And the hair styles, that half-up half-down thing is purely for aesthetics because in history they wouldn't wear their hair like that (especially considering their background).

There was a short period during the Jin/North-South dynasty when some men did wear half their hair down, but that was ONLY because that period of time was notoriously chaotic and the "rules" specifying appropriate behaviour in society had crashed (礼崩乐坏). Essentially, if you were a "civil" man (particularly with some education from a wealthy family) all your hair is tied up at 15 yo, and at 20 you get your guan (hair piece) ceremony symbolizing you're now an adult.

For women, pre-marriage you can leave some hair down, but tied in the back, not loose. After marriage it all gets tied up.

Leaving hair loose would basically get you labeled as rude, disrespectful, uncouth, uneducated, crazy, you get the idea.

But in shows like this it's a nice aesthetic when they're doing martial arts moves and the hair is flying around, so these days it tends to be the go-to hairstyle for xianxia/wuxia shows.

Thoughts on gumwrightworth?

In short:

I ADORE these three,, so mushing them all together is the PERFECT thing. I also have A Lot to say on this so hold on, this is gonna be a ride.

I firstly wanna talk about all the pairings separately. I do not feel like going over why Wrightworth is good because it has been repeated to DEATH and everyone who has internalized it knows everything I could possibly say about them already, so I shall refrain ☺️.

Gumworth is SO GOOD THOUGH,, and I’m happy to find the Gumworth people of Tumblr through me stealing someone else’s blog banner XDD. Edgeworth is such a tough boss, and Gumshoe’s admittedly a little dim at times, which isn’t an ideal trait for a detective. But somehow they just work so well together 💞 Gumshoe tries SO HARD to help Edgeworth,, and genuinely cares for him to an amount that is WILD for just being a boss-employee relationship. He has an adoration for Edgeworth, and has been there for him since his very first case.

Because of the longevity of their relationship paired with the implication that he and Edgeworth are CONSTANTLY placed on the same case,, I refuse to believe that Edgeworth DOESN’T care for Gumshoe in some way or another. Besides his adoptive family (which are not the type of people to be all lovey-dovey), Gumshoe is the only person to stick with him throughout his entire prosecutorial career. He’s seen him at his absolute worst and still has this unshakable faith in him, which MUST have some value to him considering all of the doubt that’s been cast not only on his career, but his overall moral standing as he put one innocent person after another in jail in his Bratworth era that he did everything to rectify after his year-long sabbatical post 1-5.

People tend to overlook Gumshoe’s sadness during that disappearance, like NO ONE KNEW EDGEWORTH WAS ALIVE. A lot of people (myself included) tend to focus on Phoenix’s feelings during the second game, as he is the mc and he get his thoughts on the matter WAY more than we get Gumshoe’s. But he’s clearly distraught as well, and how couldn’t he be? We saw how much he cared for Edgeworth during case 1-4,, and again he works with him constantly. He must’ve seen the way Edgeworth’s spirit dwindled from the day he was arrested for Robert Hammond’s murder to the day he left that letter, and feared the worst. He may have blamed himself for not showing Edgeworth he was there for him to the extent that he wanted to, and that kind of guilt would be EXCRUCIATING to live with for a year. There’s a bit of leeway with Phoenix in this situation, as Edgeworth shut him out time and time again because they were technically enemies in court, and he also isn’t one to want to relive his past. But Gumshoe was meant to be his sidekick, his confidant (his silly rabbit /ref). He would feel like he failed his job in absolutely every way if he thought Edgeworth couldn’t trust him enough to open up even a little when he was struggling the most.

Angst aside, their relationship runs DEEP. And as much as I love Wrightworth,, I love exploring every avenue in terms of shipping and it BOTHERS me that more people don’t see their potential. Like I think them and Wrightworth are tied in my mind for best ship in Ace Attorney.

As for Gumwright,, PEOPLE DO NOT ACKNOWLEDGE THEIR POTENTIAL ENOUGH AND THAT BOTHERS ME. One pet peeve I have whenever I see Gummywrightworth is it feels more like traditional polygamy than more all-way polyamory. It feels like Edgeworth’s the glue binding them together, and that Gumshoe and Wright don’t feel any type of way about one another,, and that is SUCH A CRIME. It is SO NICE to think about the juxtaposition between the Gumworth work relationship and the Gumwright one, and in turn how different they would both be in a romantic setting. Whereas Edgeworth doesn’t particularly need Gumshoe’s help most of the time and loves to do everything and make all the deductions himself, Wright often NEEDS Gumshoe’s help to progress because he has access to things Wright often doesn’t. Whether it’s evidence, reports, prosecution’s strategy, or real-time forensic analysis,, Gumshoe has COME THROUGH for Wright time and time again. His help is absolutely invaluable to Wright’s investigations, and without him as a resource quite a few of Wright’s clients likely would’ve been declared guilty. But that’s not to say Wright is useless. It’s just that Gumshoe oftentimes has that one missing piece that Wright needs.

The way Edgeworth and Wright both interact with Gumshoe is also very different. Edgeworth’s a little more dismissive of Gumshoe (particularly in AAI 1+2), and he often scolds Gumshoe for his missteps. But while Wright at the beginning is often pushy in order to get Gumshoe to help in the first place (as he’s instructed not to help the defense), but when he actually begins helping, Wright is quite kind to Gumshoe. Although he recognizes that Gummy’s a little dumb at times, he still values his insight, as Wright can also be a little dumb about things that should be obvious to someone with a law degree. It’s like they’re two halves of a braincell coming together to bounce around for a bit during the PW Trilogy’s investigation segments. I just. THEY’RE SO NICE TO EACH OTHER 💞 of course they’re aggressive to one another at first, but as they take on the same cases they grow friendlier and closer. And when they’re in a trial,, Gumshoe treats his testimony like a game. he always needs to announce that Wright’s “not gonna get him this time!” I just find them really cute,,, and I’m disappointed in this fandom for not considering them as a pairing more often. Like if you guys are not gonna write enough Gumwright fics, I will DO IT MYSELF.

Now the differences and similarities between these two pairings come together to form Gummywrightworth, and it is beautiful. It brings a tear to my eye just thinking about it. The three of them have faced the bulk of their hardships in the first trilogy together, and because of this, they would all grow so close to one another. None of them seem to have many other people to cling to who would understand their troubles,, but they all understand each other because they were THERE. They were all there for one another during the good and the bad times throughout the trilogy, and they all celebrated together when it was finally over. Not to mention I think that Gumshoe and Wright’s puppy energies could help mellow Edgeworth out a bit. It’s a well-balanced relationship with lots of history to back it up,, and the three of them all work so well together, and it’s impossible to tell me they all don’t deeply care for each other. They are so amazing.

hi :D We are only 2 friends who have followed the work of @bamsara from the shadows (English is not our first language so there may be incoherence in this text xD) it has taken us time but finally we are encouraged to publish our small works inspired by the great work of Bamsara as a way of thanking them for sharing their great talent

clown1 : Solar lunancy is a fanfic that me and my friend love a lot and well for their birthday I wanted to give them the bound fanfic as a present, however as English was not our language I took the time to translate the fanfic to Spanish. I planned the gift 5 months before clown 2's birthday and the translation took me about 3 months, I read the fanfic several times when I was translating it and even so it had several mistakes because time was running out, but I had a lot of fun reading and translating the fanfic, and the emotion on clown 2's face was worth it.

clown2: after the beautiful gift from clown one (who introduced me to fic and bam's art) I decided to go all out and make the y/n solar lunacy jacket it was a somewhat chaotic process because I decided to dye the fabric myself, hand paint it and put the jacket together but after a few months and a lot of trial and error I think I managed to do justice to the design bam made and since I had some time left over I decided to make the freddy ears to complement the jacket.

(I had also given her the name tag as a gift a long time ago, so the cosplay is complete)

clown 1 : I met bam when I entered the Invader Zim fandom thanks to his fanfic "Cryptids, Emotions And The Possible End Of The World" I loved and still love this fic for how funny and cool it is, being this fanfic the first one I read in the fandom as well as being one of my favorites within it. However, just after bam wrote "A moment" I decided to make a small animatic drawing several scenes from the fic. The process was fun, as such I really like to make small animatics (although I don't have the same time as before). I made the animatic some time ago but after I made it I couldn't bring myself to send it until today xdd (I never knew if bam saw it).

Seonghwa grinned, shaking his head. “Oh my god, Yunho. You’re in so deep.”

Jisung gripped his heart. “This is the best day of my LIFE. Nothing can top this!”

Yunho groaned, covering his face with both hands. “Oh my god, you guys are not helping.” His ears were burning, and the more they stared at him, the hotter his face got. “It wasn’t anything serious. That’s just how Mingi talks.”

Seonghwa hummed, clearly not convinced. “Mhm. Sure.”

Yunho peeked through his fingers at him. “It wasn’t.”

“Right.” Seonghwa smiled knowingly.

Jisung was still gripping the edge of his seat like he was waiting for another bombshell to drop. “Wait, wait, wait, so that’s it? That’s the story?”

“No.” Yunho inhaled, exhaled, prayed for strength. “That’s… actually not even the main reason I’m here.”

Jisung nearly choked. “It’s NOT?”

Yunho shook his head, trying to compose himself, but the weight of their attention made it difficult to think straight. He wasn’t used to being the center of conversation like this, and definitely not over something like this.

He licked his lips nervously. “After… whatever that was, I just grabbed my stuff and was about to leave—because obviously I needed to get out of there before I spontaneously combusted—but then suddenly, out of nowhere, I hear Mingi go, ‘Hey, Yunho.’”

Hongjoong leaned forward. “And?”

Yunho blinked. “That was exactly my reaction. I turned back and was like, ‘Yeah?’ And then Mingi just looks at me and says—‘Let’s make a deal.’”

Hongjoong frowned. “A deal?”

Yunho nodded. “Yeah.”

Jisung gasped so dramatically it could’ve been out of a K-drama. “OH MY GOD. YUNHO, PLEASE TELL ME HE DIDN’T MAKE YOU DO SOME HUMAN TRAFFICKING OR SOMETHING.”

Yunho’s entire brain blanked out for a second. “What?”

The room turned to stare at Jisung.

Jisung threw up his hands defensively. “WHAT? It’s Mingi we’re talking about. This is, like, 10876523802% possible.”

Hongjoong blinked. “Hah. True.”

Yunho shook his head quickly. “No—no! Obviously it wasn’t anything like that!”

Seonghwa sighed, looking more amused than concerned. “Alright. What kind of deal did he mean, then?”

Yunho rubbed the back of his neck. “Well. First, he says, ‘Don’t worry, it won’t be anything bad.’ And obviously, at that point, my entire body was telling me to run.”

Jisung nodded solemnly. “Fair.”

“But I stayed. And then Mingi just—he casually drops, ‘For the sake of our project and our dorm room, let’s be friends.’”

Dead silence.

Seonghwa blinked. “Wait.”

Hongjoong sat back. “Hold on.”

Jisung’s mouth fell open. “Mingi… wants to be friends?”

Yunho nodded slowly. “That’s what I said. I literally just stood there, completely dumbfounded, staring at him like an idiot. My brain just shut down. The only thing that came out of my mouth was a plain, ‘What?’”

Seonghwa pressed. “And?”

“And then he clarified,” Yunho continued, shifting uncomfortably under their stares. “He was like, ‘Yeah, let’s be nice to each other.’”

Jisung squinted. “Mingi? Nice? To you?”

Yunho let out a weak laugh. “That’s what I thought, too! I had to make sure I wasn’t hearing things, so I asked him, ‘You… want us to be friends?’ Because, you know. After everything?”

“And?”

“And then he goes—” Yunho took a deep breath, forcing himself to say it aloud. “‘Sort of. But not like… best friends or anything. Let’s keep it casual—just here, in the dorm. No need to act all buddy-buddy when we’re out in public. That wouldn’t really work, you know. But I’ll try being less mean to you in public.’”

Seonghwa raised an eyebrow. “So. Friends. But only behind closed doors.”

“Exactly.”

Jisung wheezed. “This is some forbidden romance type beat.”

Yunho covered his face again, completely mortified. “Oh my god. Please stop.”

“But why?” Seonghwa grinned. “This is fun.”

Yunho peeked through his fingers again, face burning. “It’s not fun for me!”

Hongjoong chuckled and said. “Go on. What happened next?”

Yunho hesitated, heart hammering in his chest. It still didn’t feel real, even as he said it out loud. “Then Mingi said, ‘To think of it like… a truce. We’ll be nice to each other here, work on the project, and maybe even get along a little.’”

Hongjoong folded his arms. “And?”

“And then Mingi tilted his head and said ‘What do you think?’”

Seonghwa leaned in. “And what did you say?”

A heavy silence settled over the table. Yunho could feel their eyes on him, waiting. He gripped his cup a little tighter, staring down at the rim as if it held the answers he needed. His heart was already beating too fast, and he hadn’t even said anything yet.

Why was this so hard to say?

“Yunho?” Hongjoong prompted, his tone laced with curiosity.

Yunho cleared his throat. His voice came out quieter than intended. “I, um… I told him that… I guess we can… try that.”

For a second, nobody moved. And then—

Jisung gasped. Loudly.

“Oh my God.” He grabbed Hongjoong’s arm dramatically, like he had just witnessed a miracle. “Now this definitely topped the flirting part.”

Yunho’s entire body seized up. His head snapped up so fast he almost got whiplash.

“THERE WAS NO FLIRTING, JISUNG!” His voice cracked embarrassingly on the last syllable. His face was already burning. “What—what are you even talking about?! He’s a guy! And—most importantly—he’s MINGI!”

Jisung rolled his eyes. “Yeah, yeah, we know, a guy and Mingi, we got it.” He gave Yunho an exaggerated look of pity. “You don’t have to sound so devastated about it.”

“I—I’m not—!” Yunho groaned, rubbing his hands down his face. He felt hot all over, like his shirt was suffocating him.

Jisung wasn’t done. “Jeez, sorry. I forgot the only one in your heart is our Lord and Savior.”

Yunho froze.

He lowered his hands just enough to glare at Jisung. “Do not make fun of me. And most importantly, do not make fun of God, Jisung.” His voice was firm, but his face was still bright red, which probably ruined the effect. “Sorry, I didn't mean to crash out like that…”.

Seonghwa, who had been sitting back and observing the chaos, suddenly tilted his head. “Wait.” His gaze flickered to Yunho’s chest. “Yunho… you’re religious?”

Yunho blinked.

“I mean,” Seonghwa gestured vaguely, “I noticed the rosary, but I just thought it was, like… a fashion statement.”

“Oh.” Yunho’s fingers instinctively brushed over the beads. “Yeah, well… that’s actually a funny story.”

He hesitated. Was it weird to talk about? It felt weird to talk about.

But the others were looking at him expectantly, so he forced himself to continue.

“This morning, in our kitchen, I actually ran into Mingi while I was making breakfast and, um… we talked. Like, actually had a nice conversation?” He bit his lip. “He totally geeked out about anime. I’ve never seen him so excited about anything before. It was like… he was a completely different person.”

Seonghwa narrowed his eyes slightly. “Define nice.”

Yunho shifted awkwardly. “Like… he wasn’t making fun of me or— or looking at me like I’m some weird nerd.” His voice got quieter. “He was just… talking. About things he liked.”

It had been weirdly normal. Almost nice.

Hongjoong blinked. “Wait, I’m sorry—how is that connected to you wearing the rosary?”

Yunho’s fingers curled around the beads, his stomach twisting slightly. “Well…” He took a breath. “I took my rosary with me, but I was afraid of people seeing it, so I kept it underneath my shirt, hiding it. But before I left for class, Mingi suddenly—” Yunho stopped himself, thinking if it wasnť weird to tell them what happened.

Jisung asked “He what?”

Yunho adjusted his grip on his cup, staring at the table. “Before I left, Mingi suddenly grabbed me by my collar and pulled the rosary out from under my shirt.”

Hongjoong’s eyebrows shot up. “What?”

“He what?” Seonghwa repeated, looking mildly concerned.

Yunho’s ears were burning. “Not like that!” He waved his hands around. “It was—it was just—he noticed it, okay? And he said he had been wondering the whole time what I was hiding.” His fingers curled around the beads. “And then he told me that I shouldn’t hide it. That I should wear it like this.”

He glanced down at the rosary resting against his shirt.

It wasn’t a big deal.

Right?

Seonghwa was quiet for a moment before nodding. “I have to agree with Mingi on this one, Yu. You should never hide that.” His voice was gentle, steady. “Believing in something, in my eyes, is beautiful.”

Yunho blinked.

His chest felt a little warm—a good warm. A different kind of warmth than the flustered kind. He ducked his head slightly, feeling a little shy. “Thank you, hyung.”

Hongjoong smiled at Seonghwa.

And then—

Jisung groaned dramatically. “Yeeeah, all of that is nice, but—are we totally ignoring the things Yunho just told us? HELLO?” He waved his hands wildly. “Friends with Mingi?! Having a CONVERSATION with Mingi?!”

Yunho sighed.

Hongjoong leaned forward, resting his elbows on the table. His expression was thoughtful, but there was a hint of skepticism in his tone.

“Okay, so let’s repeat this.” He held up his fingers, counting off. “Mingi was kind of okay at first, then he was a dick, and now—all of a sudden—he wants to be BFFs with you?”

Yunho frowned, feeling his face heat up again. “Not BFFs,” he muttered, shifting uncomfortably in his seat. “Just like… okay acquaintances, I guess?”

Seonghwa raised a sharp brow. “Acquaintances?” He sounded unconvinced.

Yunho nodded quickly, eager to clarify before anyone got any more ideas. “Yeah, like… for the sake of our project. And the dorm,” he added. “That’s all.”

Jisung, who had been unusually quiet (which was never a good sign), suddenly grinned. A grin Yunho immediately did not trust.

“Yeah, Yunho,” Jisung drawled, leaning back dramatically. “You don’t know Mingi that well.”

Yunho stiffened.

Jisung tilted his head, voice lowering conspiratorially. “You need to be careful. You never know what he’s planning for you.”

Yunho’s stomach twisted.

“What does that mean?!” He sat up straight, panic rising in his chest.

Jisung wiggled his eyebrows but didn’t say anything.

Yunho hated that.

Seonghwa, for his part, just sighed and shook his head like he already knew how this was going to end.

Hongjoong groaned. “Guys, don’t scare Yunho.” He turned to Yunho, giving him a reassuring look. “Maybe Mingi just really wants to be on good terms with you so you guys can survive this project. Right, Yunho?”

Yunho hesitated.

“I… yeah,” he said, nodding slowly. “I choose to believe that.”

He fidgeted with his sleeve, but there was still a nagging feeling in his gut.

“…But,” he added quietly, “what if Hwa and Jisung are right?”

Seonghwa must have noticed the way Yunho's fingers had curled into the hem of his sleeve because his expression softened immediately. He reached across the table, giving Yunho a reassuring pat on the arm.

“Oh, Yunho,” Seonghwa sighed, shaking his head. “I didn’t mean to scare you like that. Trust me.” His voice was gentle, soothing, and Yunho felt some of the nervous tension ease from his shoulders.

“Maybe Hongjoong is right,” Seonghwa continued. “Maybe everything will be okay. Maybe your project will go smoothly, and you’ll get a good grade, and this will all just be some funny little memory later.”

Yunho bit his lip. He wanted to believe that.

Hongjoong stretched, rolling his shoulders, before checking the time on his phone. “Anyway,” he said, slipping the device back into his pocket. “Me and Hwa need to go, right?”

Seonghwa perked up. “Oh—yeah.” He turned to Yunho with a small smile. “We should get going, but Yunho, it was so nice to meet you.”

Hongjoong nodded enthusiastically. “Seriously, so nice.” He gave Yunho an approving grin. “You’re fun, and you have such a pure soul. I liked today a lot, and I cannot wait for the next time we see each other.”

As he spoke, he and Seonghwa both stood, reaching for their jackets and slipping them on.

Seonghwa smirked as he adjusted his collar. “And trust me, Yunho, we will be seeing each other again. ASAP. And when we do, you’ll update us on this whole situation, okay?”

Yunho let out a small, breathy laugh, rubbing the back of his neck. “It was really nice meeting you two, too. Thank you so much for today. And yes, don’t worry—I’ll keep you updated.”

Everyone exchanged their goodbyes, and soon, it was just Yunho and Jisung left. The room suddenly felt quieter without Seonghwa’s poised confidence and Hongjoong’s warm, playful energy.

Jisung leaned forward, resting his chin on his hand with a sly grin.

“Sooo,” he hummed. “What do we think about SeongJoong?”

Yunho hummed in thought, reaching absentmindedly for a chip and popping it into his mouth. “They were really nice,” he said, voice muffled as he chewed. “I learned a lot of new stuff from them, and like you said, they give good advice, too.” He swallowed. “They seem… genuine.”

Jisung gasped dramatically, placing a hand over his chest. “Aaaaw, Yunho, don’t make me cry—that’s so sweet.”

Yunho quickly waved his hands. “No, no, I mean it! They were really nice.”

Jisung wiggled his eyebrows. “See? Told you you'd like them.”

Yunho just smiled, his fingers fidgeting with a napkin as another thought popped into his head. “Anyways…” he started. “What about their girlfriends? Do they study here as well?”

Jisung froze.

Yunho didn’t think much of it at first, still focused on the table of snacks, picking at a few crumbs absentmindedly. But after a few seconds of complete silence, he finally looked up—only to find Jisung staring at him, mouth slightly open in pure disbelief.

Yunho blinked. “Jisung?”

Jisung burst into laughter.

Not just any laughter. Loud, uncontrollable, throw-your-head-back-and-clutch-your-stomach laughter.

Yunho swore he had never heard anyone laugh that hard before.

He frowned, utterly bewildered. “Wha—what??”

Jisung just kept laughing, shaking his head like he couldn’t believe Yunho had actually said that.

Yunho stared, completely lost. “Why are you laughing?! What did I say?!”

But Jisung was too busy wheezing to answer.

Yunho furrowed his brows, completely lost. “Did I say something wrong or…?”

Jisung finally managed to calm down—a little. He wiped a tear from the corner of his eye, still breathless from laughing. “Oh my God, Yunho, I cannot believe you just asked me that.”

Yunho blinked. “I don’t understand at all. What did I do wrong? Seriously.”

Jisung shook his head, looking at Yunho like he was the most oblivious person in existence. “Oh my God. Yunho, you are so stupid it hurts.”

Yunho gasped, clutching his chest. “Excuse you?”

Jisung groaned, throwing his hands in the air. “Yunho, baby, those two are the least straight people I have ever seen and met.”

Yunho just blinked again. “What?”

Jisung stared at him. “You still don’t get it?”

Yunho shook his head slowly.

Jisung let out an exaggerated sigh before leaning in like he was about to reveal the biggest secret of the century. “Hongjoong and Seonghwa are dating.” He paused for effect, watching Yunho’s face closely. “They’ve been together for a good two and a half years. They are in a very, VERY gay relationship.”

Yunho froze.

His brain completely short-circuited.

okay fine I’ll post her here XDD in canon her story takes place like uh….50 years at least after totk/botw and is the champion of vah ruta. But in any other stories she can be added as just a regular Zora or a princess of the Faron domain. Her champion sash in opposite to her green one and it goes under it. Also someone help her walk that leg is crippled

about leviathan Zora:

Leviathan zora in general have much longer tails that can be as short as up to their hips. And as long as 1 and a quarter of their height. They have two sets of scales. The main scales, and the fin scales. The fin scales are often all the same color and apply to all the transparent parts of the zora. Which includes on the head tendril. These fins are much softer and can have fading gradients. 

The head tendril is a very distinct part of the leviathan zora and it begins to grow around at the age of five. The longer it is, the more water manipulation you have. So far the queen is the one with the longest head tendril. If a tendril does not grow by ten years old, it’s possibly due to being a late bloomer or the body having suffered malnourishment or severe long damage at a young age. They will not have any water manipulation if they do not have a tendril. 

Differences between males and females: there are some noticeable traits between them but it’s more of a 50/50 shot to get one or the other, females have more round wavy fins which are transparent.  But the males have more Spikey fins which are more similar to their lanayru cousins. 

Jewelry: due to the amount of luminous stone and ore near their domain and in their cave, they have similar jewelry to the lanayru zora. But often times it is more decorated and unique with each one. And luminous stones are not the only gems for decoration. All gems can be used. Even topaz! Though it may sting after wearing it for a while. 

Relationship with farosh. 

The leviathan zora worship the mysterious dragon as their deity. And after hundereds of generations with the dragon, have developed a stronger resistance to electricity then many of the other zora. The royalty are blessed by the lighting dragon when ascending and have the highest resistance to electricity then perhaps any other zora. They are required to wear a gift from the dragon in their jewelry. Sometimes in their crown, or on their belts and necklaces. 

 Colors 

Leviathan zora come in all colors you can imagine. But their softer skin like scales are always a very light shade of whatever color their fins are or scales are. The most common case is being a cool white. 

Weapons: the leviathan zora are a bit…defensive of their home. And the guards take their job very seriously so you cannot just walk right into their home without a reason and a thorough checking that you won’t do any harm. Their weapons are made of the same steel as the lanayru zora but perhaps with a bit more intimidation. One guy a few years ago stuck a skreel’s skull on his spear so that was fun to put in a museum… 

water manipulation: this ability was very strange and it’s common for leviathan Zora to have it. It can be used to transport water, freeze it, evaporate it, and control it. Some Zora have more control and power than other leviathans. That is due to their head tendril. It’s common for guards to channel their abilities through their weapons with the help of an opal fragment. Freezing and heating water is not a natural ability and requires help of gem fragments such as sapphire or ruby. Even small chunks is enough.

I really love to read, and write, and draw. I also love to learn, but don't tend to flaunt it. Some dislikes/pet peeves are as follows: STYROFOAM. I have an extreme hatred for it. It's the bane of my existence, and i refuse to touch it. Also I really dislike slow walkers, and loud chewers. I also really hate it when a package claims to be easy to open but then it isn't. And when my jar of pickled banana peppers won't open.

Masked!Reader who may or may not be an entirely different being, able to protect their one and only heroes from any harm. They may seem a bit normal at first, but after a while it's quite easy to tell how... different they are from regular people. They occasionally make odd chittering and beast-like sounds that no one else can immitate, making them seem like an entirely new creature or being of sorts. And don't get me started on the hunger they have and how willing they are to consume the flesh of their enemies.

Masked!Reader who is willing to maul anything they deem as a danger to the Chain to death, whether it be a monster or a person. They really don't care if the issue is bigger than them or not, they WILL tear them to shreds with either their bare hands or their teeth. Their bite is actually quite painful too, kinda like their teeth from their canines to their molars are a lot sharper than average. They may or may not also have an urge to bite the Chain, not hard or anything like that at least not too hard but just enough to leave a mark and stake their claim over them.

Masked!Reader who knows of the shadow all too well and is not afraid to confront it in the slightest. They can tell the shadow is fearful of them, they can smell the fear radiating off of it, and has no problem at all with instilling more fear into it in order to keep the Chain safe. Sure, they have at least 10 or so heroes that follow them around like a bunch of lost puppies, but they have come face to face with worse dangers than a measly shadow in their life and don't see the need to have the Chain be so worried over it.

Overall, Masked!Reader is like the embodiment of Theadore Roosevelt's saying "Speak softly and carry a big stick", aka "Be kind but take no bull". They take no shit and have enough energy to take on Ganondorf or even Hylia herself.

1. Richie was one of those quiet ones who focused a lot on studying. He did get bullied but that also kind of stopped at some point when he lost his temper and fought back.

2. When he loses his temper he rarely gets violent.(this only happens if other person is violent/abusive towards him but even then he tries to keep his cool) he haven't killed anybody except his father (that was also more like a self-defense.)

3. He can since deep down he doesn't want to hurt anybody and calming him down is mostly easy.

4. He does remember what happened and that is also the reason why he tries his best not to lose his temper. He doesn't want to be like his father.

5. He left the area and moved to new place where the area is more calmer to get a new start.

6. If Richie didn't do what he told him to do or did something wrong his father punished him.

7. I admit this part I haven't thought much but maybe a bank?🤔

8. It is possible. It will take time when he learns to say no and not feel bad about.

9. He has needed but since he focuses too much on his work he hasn't managed to do it yet.

10. He doesn't see anything wrong about it. He's happy that someone likes him this much.

Japanese fans had the same question and asked it to Takabayashi-sensei, who answered it in "Maru maru maru-MA", page 68.

Question: "Mazokus real age is "5 times that of their appearance" but Yuuri's appearance is that of his age, will this continue to be so? And if that's the case, does that mean that in 15 years he will look like a middle-aged man in his 30s and look older than Conrad and Wolfram and everyone else?"

Takabayashi-sensei: "While he's on Earth it's unlikely that Yuuri's aging process will change unless due to some extreme circumstances, but since Shin Makoku is in another world, where time passes differently, there is a possibility that coming and going from one world to another causes a gap between his appearance and age."

The canon itself though does make a point of Venera, a normal human, ending up living an extremely long life due to interacting with the forbidden box. As of novel 17, Yuuri has touched his box, so… most likely his age/life span has already been altered in several ways.

If I'm not mistaken (and I could be) even Greta's aging seems to have been altered due to being in a place full of maryoku... but please don't make me look for that source,,, cuz it might not exist XD "The lady is a witch" might be a place to go digging for that... maybe "do you want an exorcism" or something. On earth, however, aging occurs for everyone equally :)

Yeah... slim pickings, I know. But they're villains, remember! 😅 Keep in mind though, that this doesn't mean that all the rest would be mean per say- no. Some of them find it cute that you're a virgin and will be gentle, but are more teasing then caring (Slim, Mal, Shere Khan, etc). Then there are villains that will be annoyed with having to go slow at all but will be, simply because you're there S/O and they love you (Not because you're a virgin. Because you're you. These are like, the Evil Queen, Jafar and Hades, etc). And then there are some who are just like... regular level nice to you during you First Time, because if they weren't then they would be scum. The ones listed above are the ones who's hearts are just a liiiittle bigger then the rest when it comes to this particular topic. Look, what can I say? *Warning, this is gonna be a ridiculously long post...

So, some of you reeeeally wanted to know just a teeny weenie bit more about my weird boy huh? Well, here ya go:

Yeah, where do I freakin' start with this--? It was not only hard to put together despite the very simple (and more obvious) inspirations... but I had to mega ponder whatever the heck I was on when creating this character, LOL

Lets break it down all over again:

It is extremely obvious (I think) of which characters Tilde's appearance mostly stems from... our funny scout robots from Cave Story: Mr. Traveler and Curly Brace themselves. (Which heehee geddit he has a punctuation naem TILDE ~~ xdd)

I'm pretty sure some of you have probably assumed (Especially with how much I pair them together...^^") Tilde is... well... their kid somehow--

Not... quite? It's... much more complicated than that, don't worry about it! Anyways, I basically chucked them both into a blender to combine their appearances together as much as possible; an example of this is Tilde's hair! It's a blonde color like Curly's and straight; but has a waviness, spiking up at the ends like Quote's hair.

Tilde's antenna earphone things are green, and his eye color is also that bluescreen blue that Curly has as well, lol.

So Tilde's outfit inspirations! Tilde is actually wearing Sue Sakamoto's sweater, along with someone's long green scarf. Its a bit old and worn out... but it's very shnazzy, dontcha think? ^^ In earlier drawing drafts of Tilde back in 2021, his sleeves were actually much more sprite accurate to Sue's-- But then I played OneShot and drew them droopy like Niko's once and it... stuck. idc its staying too. I think I wanted to give him a cuteness bonus, so I gave him hairpins thanks to Chase from Harvest Moon lol

Underneath Tilde's sweater he is wearing a simple black tank with magenta shorts, like Quote's tank and sprite Curly's pants. His shoes I unfortunately don't have a direct correlation for their colors, but they're inspired by Cave Story 3D JP Curly's shoes.

A much more rare appearance, but this is what Tilde looks like as an adolescent-- Don't question why, just roll with it-- I have my reasons and I won't tell you :^) When I was drawing him, my brain just handed me Basil from Omori. Literally, just Basil's energy and a bit of the Mother series protagonists for outfit design... I tried to swishing it around a bit and ended up with a very puntable looking guy, which was the exact vibe I was going for~ >:3c

I gave Tilde a sweater turtleneck and called it a day, then Lucas came to mind again when I was coloring-- Which overall made this particular bit of the outfit more interesting ^^ Tilde here is also wearing Toroko's pendant. Not really much else to cover here, since the many traits from Tilde's youth carries into here. Continuing...

Oh boy, how the times have changed and he's all grown up now T_T

Tilde when he's older takes almost all the liberties from especially Quote, wearing his infamous deadpan expression naturally... but he still remains extremely expressive like Curly ^^

Tilde's outfit is very obviously influenced by them, from their cargo pants to their color schemes (which are also admittedly being carried from his youth as well.) Quote's Blade Strangers design (If you ever heard of it.) was definitely an influence for him as well--

BUT to keep him looking a bit more fresh, I devised to use even more of that special jrpg sauce i love to throw on my characters lmAO

Y'all should already know from my previous post that I'm a weeb a Japanese culture enthusiast, not gonna explain that again

Specially for his outfit Tetsuya Nomura's character designs immediately come to mind, i cannot tell you which one specifically.

While imagining the "cool rpg boy outfit" all these characters blend together in my head, probs because they seem to have similar vibes LOL (very cool Nomura-san)

100% CERTAIN Felix from Golden Sun had an influence on Tilde's outward appearance. I actually drew older Tilde before teen Tilde, and I gave him long hair partly bc of him-- lmao

(While Soren from Fire Emblem is not a main influence for Tilde, he is simply here because I hate him for making me realize long haired dudes are just,,, peak character design idk what to tell you.)

To complement The Joanpher Future Timeline, here's some of that what everyone else is doing, and what these Clone High timelines are all about:

As you can see, there's the Side A being what I care about and work on most cause it's the Joanpher Life Long Love Story. I have a post about it which is mostly about the Separate Ways line but now's not bout Joanpher sooo~~

Side B: 2 More Years

In here, there are two separate main timelines: a season 3 that is as close to canon as possible and a season 3 that is very much different from the season 3 we all know.

The closer to canon called 3 Seasons 6 Protags maintains pretty much every event of og s3 so things like the Bleacher Creatures, the Confucius/Harriet/Toussaint love triangle, the Catholic JFK, Bloody Mary, the Kahlopatra break-up, etc will happen, just differently as Joan isn't there. (Or Topher but really, he's barely in s3 to begin with so yeah)

The very different to season 3 one is called Name Pending as I have no idea what goes on there other than it takes very few elements from og s3 and it's more down-to-Earth beyond the Sci-Fi elements xd. The name should ideally be referential to the Butterfly Effect but I'll think about it later. I will still mostly refer to this timeline as Season 3 Never Happen lolol.

[Ok, I know I said that it's not about joanpher here but you see that More Goth Joan line there? Well that's the Joan and Topher stay in school timeline but yeah, they still aren't relevant to the overall plot so it doesn't really matter BUT do have it in mind for the final note at the end]

The cool part about them is that both convert into Clone High Season 4 Cloney Island Arc, which as you can imagine, is a season that takes places entirely in Cloney Island!! I don't know all of what happens there but yeah, that's what season 4 should be about!

And you know what it means when there's a Season 4 of Clone High?? THAT'S RIGHT, GANDHI'S BACK!!!! And of course he is, bringing all the chaos, controversy and a possibly dramatic finale~!

Clone High: After School

Now all of our protagonist clones are out of school, it's time to enter their new stage in life: Adulthood. Will they go to college? Will they start to work? Will they travel the world? Will they have some other types of adventures? Do I look like I fucking care about any of that?? Ahh re conchuda xdd but yeah, this isn't my main focus and I haven't thought all that much about it :P

Consider this whole post me going like: So I have these pretty cool vases that I'm gonna fill with something! Not right now, I will still work with my very full and overly detailed vase over there but do know that I have vases to complement my other, more important vase in case you're not interested in my pride and joy of a vase, me explico? okay~~

There's the joint event of the Highschool Reunion which it's pretty much the same no matter the timeline, at least in the story beats that follows: Joan goes to fully massacre Abe's heart and there are funny gags or small character comebacks; the biggest difference could be if Topher goes in or not which depends if the timeline includes the bleacher creatures, but again, irrelevant for the main plot xd.

In theory there should be a joint event for the Inside Out 2 casting as it does happen in the US and a good chunk of clones might still be there but idk, not really feelin' it y'know?

For other relationships, 3S6P has a JFrriet and MaryAbe endings while NP is likely to have Toussarriet and while we're at it, maybe i could make other pairs that i like canon here... like FridAbe, CleonFucius, JFK could get with all Brontëe sisters after all! Imma think about this, imma be cooking with this...!

Since I don't know what else goes on in their lives and the JoanAbe Endgame intersection was already explained in the Joanpher post, this final note is about what timelines are happening simultanously.

.......but which ones? Well as I make this I'm kinda realizing that these two main timelines are more akin to extremes on a spectrum. Like the more farther away Joan and Topher are from the Clone High plot, the less the timelines will resemble the CHS3 we all know. So basically there are many different timelines, going from it's pretty much the same except that Joanpher happens to season 3 doesnt happen because none of the events are what happens in season 3 which may or may not be influenced by this lack of Joanpher in it. (and hence the Season 3 Didn't Happend nickname xd).

If Joan becomes More Goth or not also contributes to the variety of timelines but this only affects to the 2 More Years portion, in which all timelines convert into the Side A: Separate Ways and Side B: Canon Considered or Canon Cancelled to then convert into the JoanAbe endings of Going Ghost and Meant To Be.

I might not do a lot with this side of The Clone High Fan Made Continuation By Yours Truly but I hope you enjoyed reading it ^^.
