there’s a gif going around of that one specific shot in iwtv 1994 where lestat cuts into the woman’s wrist with his fancy nail and OOOF AUURGHHH AEEEGGHHH that happens to be the one specific scene in iwtv that I can’t watch without passing out ( I have chronic vasovagal syncope episodes) I had to lie on the ground with my feet up for like fifteen minutes just now 💀 having a chronic fainting problem triggered by the sight of blood with a fixation on vampire media is the goofiest possible part of my personality

Fun fact, when I was in middle school I started reading iwtv and never finished it bcus Louis’s turning scene (specifically the description of the heart beat) caused me to pass out in math class and the nurse found my book and told me I was dumb asf for reading books about vampires when I have a known fainting cuz of blood problem and she told me that I wasn’t allowed to bring iwtv to school anymore so I literally stopped reading it forever cuz I was embarrassed until literally a few years ago (when I started reading the series again when the show came out in 2022)

Hmmm I've been thinking about my newest lore tab a lot recently

There's a monster hunting guild known as Titan's Bane that has its headquarters in the Ashfall Wastes, with other, smaller base camps in each of the other elemental regions. These guys aren't your run-of-the-mill vampire hunters or ghost banishers, they go after bigger prey. Titans, colossuses, kaiju, demi-gods, whatever you want to call them, if it's a giant, rampaging monster it's fair game to them (and yeah that includes Emperors) some of these guys spend their entire lives training to kill these creatures.

They make their money off of contracts and selling monster parts, and they tend to not be the most pleasant of dragons (and beastclans) to be around. They're rude, foul-mouthed, and -- most importantly -- they know what they're worth. Their services don't come cheap, but you either pay up or try to find a solution to your monster problem yourself (this is not recommended).

These hunters tend to move in pairs, sometimes even pairs of dragons with beastclan riders for extra support, but there are a few who hunt alone. Magni is one such dragon, he's stubborn and doesn't play well with others. His last partner disappeared under mysterious circumstances after they were both seen fighting over the spoils of one of their kills, he's been a solo hunter every since.

my lore!!! so when I was six or seven and my sister was four or five, my mom started to do drugs and she became a drug addict. and she would drop me and my little sister off with everyone anywhere everywhere no matter if they couldn't do it or not. and this went on for like a whole while and for the summers, I would come over to my dad's house with my sister. mind you, me and my sister do not have the same father. we went to my father's house because my sister's father left her. so we went over to my father's house for summers or he would come out to Arizona for holidays and stuff. I am in Las Vegas now, I've been living here for five years and then way happier here and my sister has been living with my sister that I didn't even know about till I was eight right now in Texas with my aunt and uncle who adopted her because my mom claims that she couldn't afford three kids. we got an apartment, me and my mom and my sister we got an apartment with my mom's friend and her boyfriend so, my mom's friend and my mom's friend's boyfriend. and then we thought it was all cool we had two dogs, karma and Eva I think but it was all going great until her friends started to abuse us. she would hit us all the time, she would, force us to eat stuff that we didn't want to eat, she would hit us with hangers she would slap us to the point we get bruises and she would just yell at us constantly for no reason and every time we went to my grandma's house for a weekend we begged and begged to not go back. my dad found out about it and my dad wanted to beat this bitch up. Kathy, Kathy that's her name, and then we went back to living with my grandma and my aunt where it was so much happier. and then my mom dropped me off to my dad and drop my sister off to my uncle and aunts for supposedly a year. but now it's been five years and she tries to love bomb me every single time. she promised me that she wouldn't deal with Kathy anymore but last time I went on call with her, Kathy's voice was in the background. she just keeps making promises that she can't keep and I don't get my hopes up for her anymore, I have given up on my mom so. yeah that's my lore!!

one part confuses me so i don't want it to confuse you, the main sister i talk about is melody. she lives with my sister carmen. carmen is the onw who got adopted, just to clear that up.

going crazy and thinking about starclan cults....

so starclan in my lore is a little bit insane. theyre a bunch of evil greedy freaks who crave power and control, they manipulate the clans into believing they are good and punish them severely if they are not followed without question. and when i was first writing this part of the lore i was thinking, like, where can i go with this? so obviously i went with cults. and some real- world theming that gets pretty gnarly but i think ill save the purity culture talk for another post.

GOESHSHH.... the starclan cults... tawnytuft and loons followers, omen and the puritans.. PHEW! tawnytuft was praised heavily by starclan for taking the lives of any nonbelievers and indocrinating as many cats as possible, her cult was MASSIVE- she managed to get a flower child, lavenderspring, into her cult!!! and then the war against starclan from howlitebite, azalearush, and orchidspring!!! tawny and loon went DOWN.. how to organize thoughts..

so tawnytuft and loon were the first. a good five or ten years before omen and her parents, slatecrackle and bearshade. tawnytuft was the leader, loon was like.. a glorified bodyguard. tawnytuft was an adept fighter, but she made loon do all her dirty work so that she could manipulate and indoctrinate with less blood on her paws.. although she often delivered killing blows. tawnytuft and loon were a pair of crazy mates who met when tawnytuft fled her birth clan to fulfill her delusions, and loon formed an unhealthy attachment to her that tawnytuft exploited heavily. the two had a kit together, thistle, but abandoned them because the pair believed that thistle would come to destroy them one day.. and in a way, thistle did! thats for another post. tawnytuft and loon ravaged the forest for a solid twenty or thirty moons, killing DOZENS of cats and indoctrinating dozens more into their cult. by the time of the war against the stars, a battle primarily between riverclan and tawny + co, she had enough to ALMOST OVERWHELM A CLAN OF 30+ CATS... she was something else. unfortunately loon was one of the MANY deaths on tawny's end of that battle, and tawny was forced to flee. her cult failed to rebuild and tawny died due to infected wounds not long after, which ended her reign and then paved the way for the puritans ten years later...

may save the puritans for another post. i feel a bit too excited to continue yapping lol but thinking of drawing the flower children, tawny, and loon soon. i also need to eventually write about the flower children.

Riftwalkers

Class: Anomaly Danger Level: High

"Riftwalkers hail from a plane of existence parallel to our own. They feed off powerful magic that seeps between the cracks connecting our worlds. Occasionally, a Riftwalker may be able to wedge its horn into a particularly large crack and tear through to Sornieth, allowing it to enter our reality and wreak havoc. Their presence here creates distortions and rips that sometimes allow other, smaller anomalies to cross over as well, but the real danger is a Riftwalker's ability to bend reality around itself.

They are capable of changing the world to suit them with nothing but a thought, and often do it unconsciously. They also use this ability to hide themselves among the local inhabitants, warping reality to make themselves appear like normal dragons.

Gaston and Orin -- those are not their real names, but our closest approximation -- are two such specimens who worked their way into our world. We have gotten little information about why they are here, or why they chose to reveal themselves to us, but we suspect they're running from something, perhaps coming here was their only choice, and we're willing to give them a chance at a new life so long as they don't endanger our other charges."
