does anybody think the first god to ascend after mitternacht was bauhauzzo in part because she had forgotten things about her own past at the point where she first met him? That she deliberately chose someone who embodied history and memory not only so she wouldn't forget things that had happened, but also so that she wouldn't lose any more of herself?

its always so wild when someone on here is like "this common feeling/opinion is the result of social norms so ingrained in us we believe they are completely natural, and we should consider counteracting it" and the replies are all just "actually its human nature to feel this way. its literally natural and normal so we shouldn't have to consider how it harms anyone" as if thats an argument.

my pre-canon lovestory hc's are so funny bc in my mind thespius sewed his own fate a little bit by opening click clack's mind to the breadth of human relationships. Thespius told him that people can be casually/platonically intimate one time and clicky was like "ok!" and then every single "subtle" move Thespius made towards him was henceforth interpreted through the lens of "this is probably just a friendship thing, I shouldn't read into it any further."

I do feel like what should have happened is that AI would spark conversations about water use and power use in the general tech/internet sphere, and how so much of the labor needed to keep it running is exploitative of people in the Global South. However, it feels like what has happened instead is a bunch of people have convinced themselves the problem isn't the industry or anything, but actually it's because AI has evil magic powers that make it the only problem. Once we defeat AI, everything will be okay again :)
