I originally typed this out as a comment but thought it could stand on its own as well.

When you think about it, Vex and Pixal are parallels. Both where with Zane at a time where Zane had lost his memory. Pixal guided him to discovering the truth and accepting his new titanium form as well as continuing to aid him for many years both inside and outside of his head. We see that in Dragons Raising that Zane finds talking to Pixal helps him solve problems Zane looks up to her and the guidance and comfort she brings. Vex on the other hand used Zane’s lack of memory use manipulation to shape and mold him into the Ice Emperor something that he still is haunted by and regrets (quest for the lost powers book) He was used as a pawn. Both Pixal and Vex advised and guided Zane, but Pixal did it out of love and respect for Zane, while Vex did it out of spite and longing for revenge. It’s really interesting when you think about it

Y'all, Ice Emperor and Emperor Garmadon situations are ganuinely so fucking similar like:

-Were good guys before death/disappearance

-Had a memory loss (Garm due to resurrection bringing back only the Oni half and Zane due to Vex wiping his memory)

-Were corrupted by an outside force (Zane by the scroll, Garm by the venom)

-Someone else was constantly pulling the strings on the background, puppeting them (Vex and Harumi)

-Easily manipulated (memory loss and corruption placing them in a vulnerable position)

-Lloyd being involved in defeating them (give this man a break already)

-Both created a dangerous being that was heavily involved in controlling/destroying the area they ruled (Boreal and Colossus)

So basically after s11 Zane would be capable of understanding the situation Garmadon was in.

I wonder how far Vex's lies went. How many questions the Emperor asked about his past. If he's the rightful heir to the throne, who were his parents? What were they like? What happened to them? How was he dethroned, and what happened to his memory? Did he ever spend his quiet hours on the throne trying and failing to picture the faces of people who never existed?

I feel like Vex in the role of a disgraced formling isn’t talked about enough because wdym the event of him turning out to be formless literally caused so much fear for everyone involved that for generations children end up afraid of being the same. He’s become like a cautionary tale, barely real anymore, a way to scare children into listening to their parents and rules and such.

If I turned into just that and barely a real person anymore I’d be pretty pissed as well.

Yeah yeah Vex was manipulating him and the IE was reliant on him for almost all of his information about the outside world and pretty much needed him to be able to function as he was because Vex was the one telling him what to do but also.

Do u ever think that Vex thinks about how he would be dead without the Emperor. Do you ever think he's just existing one day and then it dawns on him that if he hadn't found the IE he would have frozen to death in the wilderness alone and unloved and forgotten. Does he he think about how everything he has right now, all of his power and control would be entirely impossible without the man he stands with miraculously trusting him. Do you think he thinks Abt how much he actually Needs Him. And how incredibly unstable their relationship is. And how much stronger his Emperor is than him. I think it scares him, tbh. The fact that all of this could so easily go so so wrong.
