the fact that lloyds oni form is gold is so fucking funny. lloyd pops out of the womb, probably looking quite oni because he's a quarter oni. garmadon picks him up and proceeds to get blinded by the light reflecting off his golden baby. wu has mistaken baby lloyd for the nunchucks of lightning on more than one occasion. misako is frantically researching why her baby is gold and eventually just accepts it as one of those things.

In lieu of me encouraging people to study dominant and recessive genes in terms of explaining Lloyd's hair color, I've made a punnett square to try and help break it down.

In order for blonde hair (which is the recessive gene) to show in the offspring of two parents who have the phenotype (observable characteristic) of brown hair, both parents would need to be carrying the phenotype for blonde hair, making their genotype (genes that can be passed to the next generation) Bb. As shown in the graph, "B" stands for brown hair, which is the dominant gene. "b" stands for blonde, which is recessive. The punnett square shows how these genes/alleles work together and which phenotype they produce. Since Garmadon and Misako would both have the Bb genotype, their offspring, Lloyd, has a 25% chance of having the phenotype of blonde hair.

This probably makes no sense BUT hopefully this helped anyone if they're confused on how Lloyd can genetically have blonde hair.

You guys ever think Misako might have used Garmadon and Wu as Primary sources for some of her research? And her just having to explain that yeah I know the creator god's sons and they're totes reliable sources.

Because the image of Garmadon and Wu sharing major tea about said historical figures is fucking hilarious.

Yuki was her childhood nickname. Garmadon: A way to rule the realm? Unlimited power and riches beyond measure? Wu: Oh right! She called him her "Little Tatami Mat" with the way he constantly fell at her feet and did her bidding. The throne was just a bonus. Garmadon: Oh yeah. Wait weren't we discussing Father originally? Misako: No no. Keep on going this would be perfect for my work.

Side note: Do you think Garmadon and Wu ever got a bunch of random gifts and a resulting hoard of them from visiting dignitaries and the like? Cuz the image of Misako just stumbling into the Monastery's equivalent of a cellar full of what's seemingly junk to Garmadon and Wu? And instead she's found nearly perfectly preserved historical artifacts.
