okay. this is fucking awesome. and it’s always interesting to hear your guys’s headcanons/perspectives on the characters.

but “giving non-Pokemon OCs Pokemon teams and imagining their role/jobs in the Pokemon universe” is a very specific hyperfixation of mine. i have been doing this with my OCs for years. and you bet your doggone dollar that i have fuckin OPINIONS on what teams my characters would have and what their roles would best fit. and you know what that means.

THE APHIDCLAN POKÉMON AU

(Obviously in this au, they’d all be humans, but I do not have the capacity to make up human designs on the spot for 16 different characters right now, so this is all you’re getting) As always, you play as the player character in a non-descript undecided generation that takes place either in or after Gen 8. You are the newest student of Professor Pearlstar, who is both a man of science studying new Pokemon and the champion of the region. He is regarded as the expert on all things Pokemon and is excellent at taming and raising the creatures (hence why he’s so powerful, and your mentor). He encourages you to go out and explore the region to discover new Pokemon for your Pokédex, and encourages you to do the league challenge while you’re at it. (“but sir, won’t that mean that if i get to the end of the challenge…I’ll be challenging you?” “Yup! Good luck! ^w^”)

Your companion is Lilacpaw. She’s this rebellious preteen brat that you meet on the road, you battle her on occasion but for the most part she’s here to help you out when you need it and continuously check on you as your brand new best friend.

Your rival is Oleander. In my mind, Oleander is too baby to be a gym leader (same with lilac, who in this universe is younger than him. she’s like, 10-13, and he’s 15-16ish), so he’s your rival instead. He bares a resemblance to Gladion in Sun and Moon. He’s a member of the local “evil team,” The Saint Tines, a cult-like organization that keeps stealing and trying to “sacrifice” other people’s Pokemon. You continuously catch fern in the act of participating in crimes that you have to stop by battling him. However, they become your friend over time, slowly realizing how bad news their organization is and leaving it to help you defeat the evil final boss, The Reverend, at the end of the game. The Reverend would be the Giovanni/Cyrus/Lysander/etc character in the game. Oleander and Lilacpaw are siblings that bicker all the damn time

The first gym you face is the Normal type gym, run by gym leader Pigeon.

For ease sake I’m gonna say all gym leaders have 4 pokemon. Pigeon owns a Stoutland (his prize Pokemon), Tauros, Ursaring, and Diggersby. His Pokemon are early lvl 20s. I wanted to give his team a farm theme, since he lives on a farm. He’s the farmhand countryboy man,,,

Next, the Dark type gym, led by Goldshine.

Goldshine owns a Mimikyu, Sableye, Absol, and an Umbreon. His Pokemon are mid lvl 20s. I wanted to give him the most emo misunderstood team possible

The fourth gym would be the fairy type gym, run by Titania.

Titania would have a Togepi, Milotic, Blissey, and a Wigglytuff. She has a very cute and beautiful team, all around late lvl 20s. Shes married to Pigeon and Alder and can frequently be seen hanging around Pigeon’s gym and vice versa. Alder’s role in the game would be closer to a “nurse joy” figure, he continuously pops up around the region throughout your journey, where he heals your pokemon and can sell you various berries and healing supplies. Hes a sweet, traveling old man following the league trail to make sure all those kiddos take care of themselves <3

Next, the Bug type gym, ran by Spiderglade.

Spiderglade owns an Ariados, Parasect, Scyther, and a Dustox. His Pokemon are early lvl 30s. I wanted a strong poison type secondary theme for him, his gym would be heavily centered around poison, toxicity, and pollution. Parasect for mind control symbolism. He’s very much in touch with his little brother, Blisswhistle, though he hasn’t sent his parents letters in a while… also how the hell would he not have at least one spider pokemon

Next, the electric type gym, ran by Sparkspeckle.

Sparkspeckle uses a Flaaffy, Toxtricity, Electabuzz, and a Dedenne. Her team are all mid lvl 30s, her gym probably has a stage built-in with a band playing all the time, and it’s all very crazy electric punk (with a touch of cutesy).

Next, the water type gym, run by Stormwhisper.

Stormwhisper would own a Lapras, Azumarill, Lanturn, Carracosta, all late lvl 30s. He would be a very nice and merciful gym leader, especially in comparison to his siblings. He gives you free healing items before you battle <3

Next, the ice gym, ran by Icesheep.

Icesheep would own a Snom, Aurorus, Beartic, and an Alolan Ninetales. His team is all early lvl 40s, and he’s very friendly as a gym leader! He does warn you about his sibling, however…

The explosive and intimidating poison type gym leader, Shadebreak.

Shadebreak would own a Liepard, Toxtricity, Crobat, and a Gengar. All their Pokemon are mid lvl 40s, and they are merciless. They are the final gym leader. ((Spark likes to talk about how they’re “twinning” with the Toxtricity and similar gym themes, but Shade absolutely hates it and makes a grumpy face every time Spark talks about how they’re so totally twins))

Once you’ve defeated all eight gym leaders, you move on to the…

ELITE FOUR

Gonna be honest, the only two I had actual solid typing in mind with was Gravel w/ Steel Type and Paradiseskies with Flying Type. But Blisswhistle and Firebeetle I had little to NO clue what to do with, so for the most part I decided the elite four’s teams with varied typing in mind for all of them. Gravel is based around dark/steel typing, Paradiseskies is flying/water/fairy based, Blisswhistle is ice/normal/fairy based, and Firebeetle I divided between fire, water, and fairy types because I couldn’t pick between the three.

Blisswhistle, the first Elite Four member you face and the weakest, uses an Aurorus, Cinccino, Frosmoth, Lapras, and a Togekiss. Shes very sweet and loves her gym leader husband very much. ((there really needs to be more rainbow pokemon……))

Firebeetle, the second member you face, owns a Walrein, Primarina, Volcarona, Granbull, and a Centiskorch. He’s happily married to his wife, Gravel.

Paradiseskies, the third and second-strongest elite four member, uses a Florges, Hatterene, Togekiss, Altaria, and a Gardevoir. She’s very happy to work alongside her husband and children.

Gravel the Brutal lives up to their title. A former member of the Saint Tines, she would appear frequently in your continuous efforts to stop the organization, aiding your efforts in taking them down. They use an Obstagoon, a Pangoro, a Steelix, a Garchomp, and a Metagross. All four members are mid lvl 50s to early lvl 60s.

THE CHAMPION AND RIVAL BATTLE

Pearlstar is very proud of you and your progress! You’ve come a long way since you first started your apprenticeship under his wing. But now it’s time for the final test, and stars not holding back. Let’s see if you can handle Pearlstar at his best, hm?

Pearlstar uses a Clefairy, Gallade, Bewear, Galarian Rapidash, Kengaskhan, and a Starmie. They’re all mid lvl 70s. After you beat him, he happily retires the position and tells you how extremely proud he is of your growth as a trainer.

Then Oleander challenges you. All his Pokemon are early lvl 50s (the phantump probably would’ve evolved into a Trevenant by the end of the game, but for the most part it stays a phantump). He uses an Alolan Muk, a Weezing, a Phantump, a Mimikyu, a Vileplume, and a Decidueye (regardless of which starter you chose). By this point, you’d have gone through quite a lot together, and now this battle is more a triumphant rival-to-rival fight for old times sake. He loses, and takes his defeat in stride, thanking you for everything you’ve done for him and all the wonderful times you’ve had together. He hopes to keep in touch.

ISAT PKMN trainer assignments

i've been having brainrot recently and i havent really seen people doing pokemon trainer aus, just a lot of pokemon mystery dungeon aus which i think require different perspectives for so i figured i may as well give it a shot.

with my assignments i was making sure to think about actual symbolism and tried avoiding the canon pokemon assignments for a] more of a challenge and b] i havent really seen all of them so if i have picked some of the same pokemon my bad.

SIFFRIN

gimmighoul: tried taking siffrin's coin once, failed, now just hangs around with him and has gotten quite attatched.

minior: a pokemon he's had as long as he can remember. gets a lot of weird looks about it though and has never seen anyone else with one.

chingling: the only pokemon caught in the castle. ding ding!

popplio: what a little clown! a fool! just a litter jester doing a preformance!

hisuian sneasel: basically siffren's dagger. i picked the hisuian one over the johtonian one because it's white.

absol: not a pokemon he had before the loops and has a sneaking suspicion those two facts are related since it seems to remember them to an extent.

MIRABELLE

morpeko: i think mirabelle would like form changing pokemon and also. near the end of floor 3 mirabelle gets like, really annoyed and then eats and is fine. thats what morpeko does.

furfrou: a pokemon with plenty of styles to choose from! she hasn't been able to get it styled recently and while she is getting nervous of it not changing, she has noticed it's happier staying as it is.

indeedee: indeedees are helpful pokemon! often used as servants, i feel mirabelle would relate with this

palafin: a hero capable of change! and paladins tend to fight for a cause, often a religious one like who mirabelle is fighting as a maiden of change.

escavalier: we don't have a fencing pokemon but we do have a lancing pokemon! also the fact a shelmet has to be traded with a karrablast is something

ISABEAU

mimikyu: isabeau is constantly putting up a facade of being a bit air headed, disguisigng himself. i also think with mimkyu wearing a cloak with him being a fashion designer would make this the most stylish mimikyu the world has ever seen

leavanny: this pokemon is known for making clothes from it's silk and any leaves it finds, making it into a clothing maker of sorts, they're also super protective.

bewear: what a big sweetie! aw it loves hugging people, it can also snap your back in two... i feel like this the most fitting attacking pokemon isa with it's bulk, cuteness and hidden scariness [something we see from isabeau when he gets... very protective of the sif nickname]

ODILE

carbink: this was my first thought for an odile pokemon, it's a little rock! and with it's links to diancie, a perfect red herring for what she's studying, they're just native to ka bue. she hardly uses it in battle.

steelix: now this is her attacking pokemon! i know it doesn't cover her primary paper type technically but it does cover her use of rock and scissors type by being steel/ground. i also think she mega evolves it from time to time, for the gems theming.

relicanth: i tried to go with the theme of old pokemon for odile, not generations wise but in the way that relicanth hasn't changed in a millenia. it's also a map, which could be interesting with the island siffrin is from.

bronzong: i can't really explain this one i just think it fits with her character? maybe it's the shape language but it is another old pokemon, showing up in the ruins in arceus so once again, more red herrings for her research.

sinistcha: ka bue is very implied to be japan or at the barest of minimums asia. odile is absolutely a tea drinker to me, this might have been one of her earlier pokemon that came with her when she left ka bue. they also have similar hair

drampa: hahahahah funny grandpa dragon joke~ drampa is reported to burn down the houses of any bullies the child they've befriended, odile has said that she would do horrible things for the party. im not fucking with you. think is not just a odile is the grandma of the party joke. i am dead fucking serious when i say this is her most in character pokemon.

BONNIE

applin: i think bonnie tried to gather apples at somepoint and it turned out to be an applin, they kept it. they seem like the type of kid to enjoy bugs [im counting the none apple bit of applin a bug cause it is to me fuck off]

alcremie: a pokemon evolved completely by accident. their milcery took a strawberry from them while cooking and in an attempt to get it back, span around enough to where it evolved. just some complete loony toons bullshit

yungoose: their first pokemon! caught back in Bambouche and their main defence between themselves and sadnesses when they left. i picked yungoose over some of the other early route mammals because a] tropical and b] i fully believe that bonnie bites people.

unovian darumaka: potentially a gift from the party, more specifically odile who was curious of darmanitan's zen form. it's obviously not a darmanitan yet but it is very useful for lighting fires to cook with.

kantonian farfetch'd: it's basically THE food pokemon being a duck carrying a leek and i opted for the kantonian form over the galarian form since the galarian form is far too cool, bonnie is cringe [/pos]

smolive: cooking oil is a crutial part of cooking are you insane and olive oil is some of them best! very useful pokemon to have on hand and it's slightly more emotionally and nervous natural creates and almost parrallel to bonnie where both end in the same outcome of tears since both are young and not yet capable of fully handling their emotions.

LOOP

gimmighoul: somehow the only pokemon they kept when they gave up on the loops, unsure if it actually remembers the loops or is just a clone...

natu [multiple]: loop can't actually catch any pokemon since, no pokeballs and they'd lose it at the end of the loop. so they've been slowly learning how to befriend all the local natu in dormont, secretly on the hunt for the roundest one. they've found shinies before and would usually be more snappy and blunt after all of those loops due to loosing them. they've gotten good at befriending them all too, being able to tell them apart and what they like. they would never admit any of this though.

notes

people tend to assume that house's ace is one of his 'cooler' pokemon - zoroark, toxtricity - but it's really audino. can mega evolve and everything. he loves throwing people off by bringing him out when running diagnostics (audino have excellent hearing; his can detect heart issues typically only found through invasive testing)

cuddy's hatterene HATES house. and he knows it. if threats of clinic duty doesn't get him to leave her alone when he's bothering her, she'll threaten to get hatty out, and hatty has NO qualms about beating the fuck out of him

wilson doesn't bring absol out at work. with his profession and the species' reputation as doombringers, it wouldn't exactly be a comforting sight. he doesn't even really remember how he acquired her, nor does he know that she's not concerned about his cancer patients but for him.

taub hardly trains his pokemon, making him the most unready for battle of everyone listed.

kutner and his pawmot get into many defibrillator adventures (accidents)!!! quagsire, being water/ground, is unaffected and therefore happily takes up the task of putting out fires when needed :DD

While waiting for Veilguard to come out, my brain hyperfixates on one Pokemon game after the other, anything so I don't get antsy from impatience. 😂

So I started to think about what the Pokemon teams for my DA characters would be. I gave them two type specialisations and most of the Pokemon are more like a 'fits the vibe' fit than deep reasonings.

Warden - Anra Types - Grass and Dark

Sawsbuck is a Halla reference, Winter form especially. Leavanny and Leafeon both represent her more gentle side, but also strong protective instinct. They also both use blades like her. Houndoom represents the Mabari. Bisharp is chosen for her being a dual sword user and leader figure. Mega Absol gives griffon vibes. Also because Absol can forsee desasters and warns people, similar to how Warden can feel the blight and prepare for it.

Hawke - Ashira Types - Fire and Psychic

Ashira is a Fire/Force Mage, so Delphox, Espeon and Armarouge represent this. Talonflame is a fire bird, representing the name Hawke. Female Pyroar and Mega Gardevoir represent her nobility and more elegant side.

Inquisitor - Ashryn Types - Dragon and Fighting

Kommo-o just combines the types perfectly. Sneasler and Scrafty represent her more sly and sometimes dirty fighting techniques. She also has similar hair to Scrafty. I picked Altaria because she does enjoy more cute things and it made me thing of Skyhold. xD Tauros is part because Qunari get called Ox people and...well, she likes Bulls. ;D Mega Gallade as a parallel to Ashira, as their families travelled together for a while when they were infants/very young children. Rook - Ahvra (name reveal, woho!) Types - Dragon and Ghost

Ahvra is the younger sibling of Ashryn, hence why I make them share the dragon type (And dragon type for Qunari is just good) Dragapult is a good opposite to Kommo-o. Gourgeist, because Ahvra can be mischievous in an adorable way. Alolan Marowak because they to show off and play around with fire. Aegislash represents the warrior spec, mostly blade form as Ahvra will be a Reaper. Noivern represents them being hot-blooded and loud. Mega Garchomp, because it gets scythe arms, the weapon of a traditional Reaper.

Ash's POV

It's been 3 years since the Masters 8 Tournament where I became the new Monarch of the World Coronation Series. But for each of the three tournaments we held every year, I never got the chance to battle against my Dragon Master friend. No matter how the bracket turned up, Iris always ended up facing Cynthia and losing to her. Evry time I watched Iris struggle against Cynthia, some unfamiliar Aura arose in me when I saw Iris's tears the first time we were in the Masters 8 Tournament together. I'll never forget how sad she was, how heartbroken I felt, and how guilty I was for not hugging her but instead just standing in front of her next to Goh with some lame smile on my face. Why did I just stand there? I should've hugged her! "I think it's time for me to tell her how I felt that day!" I say to Pikachu on my shoulder and Lucario standing by my side. Both of my Ace Pokémon looked at each other with a determined smile on both of their faces. "Alright, time to telk her everything," I said as we rushed to the airport.

Iris's POV

I've faced Cynthia in the Masters 8 Tournament 4 times and I've never beaten her! But last year was the worse, as I only knocked out 2 of her 6 Pokémon, while she demolished all 6 of mine! She wasn't even on the brink of losing and yet she still Mega Evolved her Garchomp and destroyed me with a Draco Meteor! And to make it worse, after the battle, she didn't thank me for a great battle, but she mocked me for my performance! Never in my life had those words from the one Champion I looked up to the most stabbed at my heart worse than any other time in my life! Every day after that, I barely trained or ate, and spent most of my time sitting on the radio tower of Opelucid City. But today, I felt something. "What am I feeling? I haven't been hungry for awhile, and now I'm hungry?!" Emolga than looks at me with a smug smile. "What's with the smile?" I asked, very concerned. My phone then starts ringing, and I immediately pick it up. It was Drayden, Opelucid City gym leader and Opelucid Academy president. "Yeah, Drayden?" "You have a guest waiting for you at the gym," I hear the gruff voice of my mentor saying. "Really?" I ask. "Well, I better hurry then! Thanks, Drayden!" I hang up, and I dart down the tower without Officer Jenny seeing me.

Ash's POV

As I arrived in the Opelucid City, I could feel a miserable Aura all over the entire city. Everyone was completely bummed out about watching their Unova Champion getting demolished by Cynthia. I couldn't help but feel sorry for everyone. I too felt that Aura when I watched that tragedy happen right before my very eyes. As I quickly and quietly walked past the folks of the city, I made my way to the Opelucid City gym. A small smile immediately spread across my face, as so many heartwarming thoughts began to race in my mind. This same gym was the one I ran into, eager to see my childish Unovan friend, only to learn that she was the new Champion of Unova. This same gym was the one where I battled her, and learned that the little Axew she had that Pikachu and I traveled with was now a fully-evolved-and-fully-powered Haxorus. Thinking all these feelings made my heart race and my cheeks feel warm, as they were turning bright red from blushing. Lucario could see it, and he knew what it was about. Once last time, I darted into the gym with glee, but this time, all I saw was a group of Pokémon training with each other. Among the crowd I noticed one Pokémon that looked very similar. "Leavanny!?" I shout with a shocked look on my face. The fighting stopped, and the one Bug Pokémon that was good at making clothes with String Shot and leaves looks at me with a confused look on its face. I had a Leavanny back at Professor Oak's lab, and I was a little baffled why I though it was here. But before I asked any more questions, I hearda voice that gave me the truth. "This Leavanny actually belongs to Iris," I hear a gruff voice saying. "I get you may be confused, since you have one, too." Eventually, I found the owner of the gruff voice I heard. Drayden, the Opelucid City gym leader appeared from behind Iris's Dragonite, holding his own little Axew on his arms. "Iris caught a Leavanny?" I say, surprised. "Cool!" "Actually, she raised it from a Sewaddle all the way to a Leavanny," Drayden said. "She told me she wanted to learn from you and try out different ways to win." Hearing that made me blush. "BTW, where is Iris?" I ask. "I'm not sure," Drayden said. "I saw her at breakfast, but then she just disappeared." Hearing that, I realized what was going on. "I'll call her," Drayden said, pulling out his magenta Rotom phone. "Yea, thanks," I say with a sad look on my face, while hanging my head down.

Well, I need to cram this into multiple parts, actually. But don't worry; I'm posting this whole story today!

hilariously enough i was already typing this but you had the misfortune to ask me directly. fucking get ready. if loop had a pokemon team they'd for sure have mimikyu. i don't think i have to explain mimikyu. honestly i think they'd mostly have ghost types. i like the idea of chandelure and yamask. again pretty self explanatory. also hisuian zoroark, for its batshit dex entry. they could have a gengar if AND ONLY IF siffrin has a clefable. for non-ghost types minior's an obvious option. maybe emolga i think they could vibe like hell with emolga. perhaps sharpedo? i do think it would be funny if sif and loop shared a pokemon but i don't know which one . maybe the emolga

i can believe in siffrin having a slightly more mixed team. clefable as mentioned to match loop's gengar (also because funny moon). perhaps pelipper (Island). also aforementioned potential shared emolga. they should have a cat. perhaps delcatty. i think it'd be fun to have a vivillon since the regional pattern would effectively be entirely unique to siffrin's assuming they got it on the island

mira's like fairy/grass to me. i think she should have a mega altaria or mega audino either work. funny whimsicott? i think she'd vibe like hell with a ribombee. she'd also vibe with meganium i think. perhaps lilligant or lurantis? her party's vibes are fucking Immaculate.

isa should get a leavanny i don't make the rules. i think he tends towards rock/ground/steel but the leavanny is key. he could hang out with an excadrill i believe this with my heart. shiny nidoking for trans rights? i believe in lycanroc but i don't know if it'd be midday or dusk. probably midday. i think he'd have the world's chillest ursaring

odile gets mainly psychic/ice it's just her energy to me. i feel like she'd roll with an aurorus. i think she could have a froslass and they would have girlboss solidarity. perhaps gothitelle i think they'd vibe. i think it'd be a little insanely funny if she had a hatterene because if that thing wasn't evolved it would've mauled siffrin and loop to death so quickly. i also think it'd be funny to throw something like an obstagoon or a krookodile in there just to really keep them guessing

Bonnie My Love... they'd have swirlix for sure. i think they should have some manner of cute little bug like a spinarak or a joltik. it just feels right. hisuian growlithe could be a slay. i could believe in something like a torchic. i know its basic but i think theyd have fun with a riolu. the puncher. i think it'd be fun if they had a pancham and nille had a pangoro

SURPRISE NILLE. nille has the aforementioned pangoro. i think it'd be wonderful if the pans were also siblings. she'd have primarily fighting i think. she would get along with breloom i believe this in my heart. i think it'd be pretty fitting for her to have a bewear. perhaps hakamo-o (she would not have high enough levels for a kommo-o LMAO). i think she'd like zangoose because she'd think it's fucking awesome (she's right). i think it'd be nice if she had like a minccino friend to help out with chores. i literally feel so bad for nille she can have a beloved rodent who helps keep the house clean

Baldur's Gate 3 Characters' Pokémon Team (Part 1)

—Astarion, the Pale Elf—

Read the other parts at the end of the post.

Hello everyone, I had this idea for a while and decided to put it into practice. I will talk about my ideas for a Pokémon team, analyzing the characters' profiles, thinking about their narrative and gameplay functions within the Baldur's Gate universe to find the best pocket monsters for them.

The only rules are: 1 Starter, 4 common Pokémon and 1 Legendary or Mythical. The team also needs a Gigantamax or a Mega Evolution.

Today's character who will win a Pokémon team will be Astarion, the Pale Elf.

Let's start with your Starter, the one that the coach starts by forming a strong bond. They are small, friendly creatures that are easy to train, and they are also rare.

And your Starter could not be other than the Paldea Grass Starter, Sprigatito.

Sprigatito is an extremely friendly cat. And cat suits Astarion! They are fast, cunning beings, perfect for a rogue. But it's not just because this little one is a cat! They evolution, Meowcarada, is perfect for Astarion.

Meowcarada are Pokémon with a bold attitude, they like to appear to distract opponents while they perform a trick or cheat. Yes, this cat is the spirit of the liar! All theatrical to distract from the truth!

And its typing matches Astarion a lot, the second type being Dark, which gives the feeling of evil that surrounds a vampire.

The second Pokémon I thought of is Noviern, the evolution of Noibat.

This huge Dragon/Normal Pokémon brings all the vampiric energy of Astarion. Being a huge, powerful bat, fast and with a resistant type.

Furthermore, it is a Pokémon that I see Astarion using to impose his strength. While Meowcarada is his more deceitful side, Noviern is his more fighting side.

Astarion's third Pokémon would be a Weavile, a Dark/Ice type Pokémon!

Weavile are even more cunning and dangerous than Meowcarada, as they behave much more perversely. They are cats specialized in attacking from behind, hiding, they are fast and lethal. If Meowcarada had the personality, Weavile has the way of acting like a rogue.

Furthermore, they are Pokémon with a strong personality, hardly giving up on their goals, just as Astarion never gave up on his.

Astarion's next Pokémon represents his hatred, everything he accumulated in the years he was a slave to Cazador. This is Hisuian Zoroark, Astarion's fourth Pokémon.

This ancient form of Zoroark is not a Dark type, but Normal/Ghost. This Pokémon is practically a spirit, full of hatred for humans and aggressive behavior.

He even has the ability to change shape, disguising himself to deceive. However, this Pokémon has a less cunning behavior in general, and is more direct.

White skin with red, with a hunchbacked expression and posture. Sometimes, we just want to avenge those bad feelings we felt, and Astation knows very well what that is.

(Bonus: a friend of mine told me that this Zoroark reminds me of Astarion when he does the Ascension ritual! And well, it really seems!)

Astation's fifth and last common pokemon is unusual. But I think he manages to convey his less aggressive side well. This pokemon is Leavanny.

Leavanny may seem like a strange choice on this team, but it makes perfect sense! They are gentle Grass/Bug Pokemon who love to sew. That's right, sewing and weaving clothes, mending them.

I can see Astarion using this pokemon to help sew his beloved white t-shirt! Not to mention that he is someone who understands fashion and could give their opinion on it. Furthermore, they are gentle Pokémon, who make clothes to keep other Pokémon warm. They are attentive, calm and affectionate.

Not to mention, look at their claws! They're like two blades, these Pokemon are great for cutting and fighting too! In the end, Leavanny rounds out this team very well.

And lastly, we have the team's legend. One that even represents Astarion, Mewtwo, a powerful Psychic Pokemon.

See, Mewtwo was once a slave, trapped by his creators, forced to follow their orders. Totally lost, without anyone, alone... Deep down, Mewtwo wanted to be understood, and perhaps our Pale Elf understands they on several points.

Mewtwo would be your Mega Pokémon. And to top it off, he has two megas!

Mega Y is purely a Psychic type, much more mentally powerful and with an air of superiority. They is a Mewtwo above, ascended. It conveys well the absolute concentration of power in a single being.

And the Ascended Astarion would love to have you by his side. The best for the best.

Mega X has a secondary type, Fighting, and is much more humanoid. It's Mewtwo who has connected to their human side, who understands their strength. They doesn't need incredible psychic powers or superiority, he just needs to connect to his hidden side.

Spawn Astarion would choose them, as he sees the strength that change brings. This Mewtwo may look different from the original, but it's they, just with a different vision. Another force.

And now, we have the conclusion, where based on what was analyzed, I say that Astarion's favorite type is:

Dark type!

The Dark type is linked to Pokémon with the characteristic of "Doing evil", they are not always evil, but they do evil. They can be silly actions or really cruel actions, it all depends on the Pokémon.

This would be his favorite type, but as we saw, it's not the only one he would leave on his team. Let's be honest, Astarion would love Dark-type pocket monsters, with their greedy and cunning behaviors and incredible powers.
