Is it normal for Salazzle to only want other female Salandit as her harem?

The Salazzle I'm caring for has a pretty good sized group around her. At first I wasn't concerned until I realized, uh... Every Salandit around her was also female.

I know as Salandit they're pretty harmless, but I'm concerned that when (and if) they evolve, there will be a huge power struggle.

it's not unusual for a salazzle to have a female or two in her harem, though an entirely female harem is very uncommon! most salandit hatch male thanks to their unique sex chromosome system. still, not all female salandit are able to make their own harem, so they'll sometimes join an existing one. if there aren't any males around, it would make sense for the salandit to all gather around a salazzle.

as for evolution, you don't need to worry about that as long as those salandit are in her harem. the reason why male salandit don't ever evolve is that they don't eat enough for their bodies to induce evolution, as they give their food as gifts to their salazzle. female salandit in harems also perform this behavior. the only way these salandit would evolve is if they decided to break off and establish their own harem, and they'd leave to find their own territory if they did that.
