Also one really great bit from Marvel Zombies is that the Captain America of that universe is Colonel America for reasons that are never really elaborated upon, and prior to becoming a zombie he also served a partial term as president of the United States. Because, you know, no reason that the only point of divergence is that everyone got turned into homicidal undead cannibals, they're allowed to have had some of their own stuff going on

#marvel zombies #thoughts #meta #the actual reason for this is that the zombieverse was a bait-and-switch from a crossover they were hyping up between the ultimate univers #and the regular marvel universe #when in fact zombie reed richards is attempting to lure in other versions of himself to infect #and in his monologue explaining the origins of the outbreak he refers to Captain America as Colonel America to cement as quickly as possibl #that this was a third unrelated universe rather than the regular MU after something Really Bad happened
