So yeah. I'm sure Steph's faith in Batman and his teachings have wavered plenty. Just because DC casually discarded the way she was treated so she could play happy family with the boys, but she has NO REASON TO. Before she was aged down there was definite tension between her and Tim, and while Babs worked to get that relationship back, Bruce did no such thing. "Oh I'm just as proud of you as I was with the boys" when he thought she was dying doesn't fucking change how he treated her.

And of course, there's her own forray into betraying the family and being a criminal in The Next Batman series.

That's without getting into how she was compared to Jason, the way she watched a murdered east end kid be toted as another violent, reckless, idiot who didn't think and got himself killed.

"Oh but he tried to kill Tim!" First of all, you didn't read that comic. Jason was TESTING him, they were 2 years apart MAXIMUM, and Tim FOUGHT BACK. Jason gave him a little cut and a nose bleed that he slapped a bandage on and was fine. Damian also started his first meeting with Tim antagonistically and even though he was actively hostile to her, Steph still formed a close sibling bond. Her first meeting with Tim she threw a brick at him. He spent a not significant amount of time belittling her and telling her she wasn't cut out for hero work when she came back. This is the same guy who hallucinated Jason just so Jason could be like "Oh I got myself killed don't be like me!" Can we be real she doesn't give a shit. I guess you could count Hush but. I know they retconned it so that was Jason but when the fuck would he have had the time to do that between death, catanoia, the All-caste, and his murder tour.

Stephanie understands better than anyone that desperate circumstances lead to desperate people who do bad things. Stephanie understands being belittled and compared to a rich white boy who never had to fight to survive like you did. She understands being isolated from the hero community. She understands the evil that exists and the ways the system is corrupt, and that the bad guy never STAYS caught. And it's not like she has any big problem with people who kill, Babs said in 90's she would fucking LOVE Joker to drop dead and Dinah has killed multiple times. She literally switched places with Lady Shiva? These are both women Steph looks up to. You don't think Steph would feel any admiration at all for someone who gave Bruce a taste of what it feels like to be shown up? Someone who made Roman's life hell? Someone who made Tim put action behind his shit talking? An alley kid who came back and refused to be another statistic, who showed everyone who spent the last decade calling him stupid and reckless EXACTLY how cunning he can be? None? At all?

I just find it a little hard to believe.

Ninjago doesn't have the best track record with dates (Wu's lifetime...) and I don't expect DR to be any better at it. But rewatching the season I realized the fact that when Lloyd narrates, he mentions being "alone for weeks" and, in the carnival, recalls not being around many people in a while, nailing down how he was secluded to the monastery during those weeks he woke up alone. This is fine, typical Lloyd behavior, just that when Nya encounters Cole, he says years. Lloyd has no reason to lie, he doesn't have to make it seem like he was less time around so if he is not lying, and he truly was weeks alone, while Cole spends years lost after the merge? What happened?

And Nya and Kai! Kai woke up early enough, and in the bounty! to be able to map and travel a big part of the new land and try to find his way back, we don't know his side, but considering he pretty much arrived and then left again, had he entered the monastery before? I do believe he was longer out, awake and traveling. Nya also mentions having traveled before encountering the cranglings-- and she was on foot, she's resilient and strong, but for how long can you travel unknown terrain without a vehicle and survive it.

The idea of time getting messed up is plausible, other than reality coming undone and messing up every physics law-Cole is hanging out with what seems to be a kid formling, whose realm is confirmed to move differently time-wise, how could two different time progressions reacted to each other? How did that affect dates? Growing rates? So interesting.

I want to know if dr is planning on going somewhere with this, if not, then it'll be one more concept I'll rotate in my brain like a skewer, its such an interesting concept to me

i've lost count into how many times I've watched "Mad as a Hatter" from the BTAS

Legit I wasn't expecting to love Jervis quite a bit, but well the guy has a terrible adaptation history and I hope his character does get some good adaptation that doesn't involve....well the former adaptations

I'm more of a scarecrow gal, but I can see them getting along ya know (I don't really ship Scarecrow with any of the characters, but I do like the fannart of his ships, i just tend to enjoy more of platonic relationships and friendships :3)

The hbomber video reminds me of the time a completely new, unknown youtuber posted a video of skits segments of one of the most respected humorist in my country next to the humorists' clips he had plagiarised word for word.

It only remained uncovered for so long because he was ripping off humorists from other countries, with skits in another language. His career, it turns out, amounts to translating jokes.

This guy was an actual legend for the audience for decades. I can not stress how much of a blow it was to the humorist community. It would be as if most of John Mulaney skits were revealed to be ripped off a Spanish humorist.

It nuked the man's career even if he's slowly coming back publicly, but what stuck out to me in this chaos was the bewilderment of the mainstream media, that a stranger would just drop that stuff out of nowhere and then disappear.

One positive thing about youtube is that it sure gives anyone the power to expose plagiarism. And people are gonna watch and hold the culprits accountable (if the evidence is conclusive and without harassing them ideally).

Today, to my absolute horror, I realized during superhero parody of a "Bart's gone bad" arc I instinctively recognized that the music that Bart was walking down the hall to was the exact tune that Peter Parker dances to in Spider-Man 3 when he's Venom-infected.

I think I felt my soul leave my body for a moment.

What part of my brain retained that information? I've seen that movie probably only once in full. Maybe caught parts of it on tv over the years (but sparingly, since it's hardly a favorite). I even remember catching that scene on tv a couple years ago and judging how bad it looked with fresh eyes as probably the first time I've watched it since 2007. I don't think I've ever heard this song outside this movie.

And yet without even the slightest of doubts, I knew what that song was before I even realized Bart was parodying the strut and fresh new shirt like Peter.

God, this is even worse than the time I was in the dairy aisle at the grocery store while a jazzy beat was playing over the store radio and I thought to myself "why do I feel like I am or should be watching Iron Man 2?" And then I realized I was hearing the song Justin Hammer dances out to onstage for his turn at the Stark Expo - a song I had never heard in any other instance, but apparently recognized out in the wild.
