So uhh.... I really dislike the Traffic light trio kid designs in the show because to me they look like the old art that just made babies look like shrunken adult men because literally nothing changes about the characters besides the height. Which lead me to decide I wanted to show how I would design the traffic light kids.

For Mei, Because her family seems rather strict i decided to make her look a bit more cleaned up. She explained in "Coming home" how she wasn't very proper when she played, which her parents looked down upon. So I imagine they would've liked for her to usually be more refined in how she looked - which means when things get out of place or messed up from her playing it's seen as a bigger deal. I also gave her some scales by her eyes because mei having dragon features gives me life and i think they look cute.

For MK i just made his hair shorter but also it's not exactly sticking up because he doesn't have his headband yet. He's got pretty simple clothes for the most part, with the coolest thing being that he has light up shoes (i like to think that's what drew Mei to him when they first met. she's not allowed to have light up shoes haha). He still is predominantly orange in color palette and I gave him some shorts because he's a pretty active kid so he likes to move around a lot. (Also headcanon that he didn't like pants all that much as a kid because they felt bad)

And then finally we have Red Boy. Which ohh boy i did the most research on this kid haha. I looked at other iterations of Red boy in different jttw media and kinda took inspiration from those! I took the most inspiration from his outfit in the 1986 series iirc (I cannot find my references I had collected...) I also got rid of his glasses because YES it might be petty but glasses hadn't exactly been invented yet in the era that jttw takes place in (Yes i researched glasses for this. Yes it was all done through spite). Anyways I decided to keep his hair long and I decided to put it up into two small buns - mostly becuz to me it would be cute to have them burst into little balls of flames hehe. I also gave him little bull horn ornaments to tie back to his family and also gave him back his spear. There's a version of him with and without a cape because some iterations have him with one and i thought it was cute :)

I don't really ever post my oc stuff here, probably in fear it wont be received that well but ah, here I go anyway.

I finally made a slugcat oc to accompany my iterator oc, Gaze Upon a Borealis HEHE.... they're very good friends

Some notes of both below the cut:

Gaze Upon a Borealis is an iterator located in the arctic region, making her even more isolated than many other iterators. Their communication network isn't all that great. I currently don't have any proper ocs that would be a part of her local group but I DO know that it's small as hell.

She is very gentle and welcoming of any small creatures that find their way to their can. They worry over every single one every time, aware of how cold it must be for them outside. She often times assists starving creatures.

Their puppet is made to be portable in case she needs to fix some outer damage to her structure by herself. (The Beacon likes helping them with this.) There's hardly ever a proper need for that though, so she simply walks around her facility and admires the view. They gaze upon the aurora borealis often. (ayy)

Borealis can even exit their can for a certain period of time with a built in lift. They like to go on walks with Beacon every now and then.

AND OH BOY.. I rambled a bit while working on The Beacon OOPS

Anyway, here's the text if that's a bit hard to read:

-The Beacon is modified by an iterator, Gaze Upon a Borealis

-Also referred to as "Assistant" by GUB

-Specifically modified to survive the harsh climate of the arctic, where Borealis' can is located.

-Very durable and larger than most slugcats. It is awfully slow but much akin to the Gourmand, it's spear throws are quite deadly.

(2,5 dmg at most, maybe. Depends on the throw)

-Tail is designed to keep it warm, along with the thick fur

-The tail acts as a lantern, it's heat and light may lure in dangerous predators in seek of warmth.

-Rather grumpy and strict in personality. It is extremely wise due to it's old age and has acted as a mentor figure to a few slugcats in it's old colony

-Borealis managed to put it's physical aging to a halt... wont die permanently unless ascended. (screw the logic)

-At night, it's colors change to resemble the northern lights. It's tail even leaves a trail akin to one. Borealis simply thought of it as a pretty feature. Beacon finds it bothersome

-◉◉◉|◉◉◉◉◉◉ Easy peasy food pip req due to the lack of food in the arctic.

The rest is just height comparisons.

Every time i drew Spearmaster i wondered how in the world do they function. It annoys me when things don't make sense so here is my take on Spearmaster's speculative biology [inspired by this post]

Disclaimer: most of this is just my imagination, i barely know anatomy. Feel free to correct me and add something! :)

The needles suck fluids from a prey. Every needle is connected to a pouch inside the tail, pouch is connected to stomach. Fluids instantly break down into nutrients with contact of stomach void fluid. Some of the nutrients get instantly absorbed with the needle pouch for fast growth and excess goes to process in intestines. Spearmaster has a slow metabolism so their body doesn't need much calories. They can have a lot of calories stored for later in tail which explains why they can go a cycle without eating.

When Spearmaster makes their stomach ramble it leads to void fluid release energy which makes instant growth of needles

Iterators have void fluid in them so my theory is that Suns used some of it to create Spearmaster.

Sharing more OC: Watcher

If you were around when I first started sharing Rewrite you might remember this guy

Watcher has a bit of a child-like approach to things, only really understanding most at face value, this can make him kind of scary at times and his actions unpredictable. He wishes to acquire something deeper, but is very limited in his interaction with any given world and its inhabitants thus making that near impossible. He wants to know what it means to exist like those he has seen throughout time.

A sequence of events lead to him taking an interest in Henry

Watcher's age is incalculable and has supposedly been around since the world's creation, it can be assumed that every world, no matter what kind, has or has had a Watcher of its own.

Around 14ft tall, his body can extend and move freely in a lot of ways, but is always seemingly attached to a surface at any given time, no one knows what's under there beyond that. Body texture is very similar to thick bones and main body even resembles a long spine.

Hands/arms appear when he needs them.

Watcher's realm tends to change a lot, it can vary between a vast space, something that resembles a sea of towering bookshelves, ever changing. These may reflect his mood or to show some kind of conflict within. the books themselves may not even be reflective of anything he's trying to look for, so he remains dissatisfied If he were to ever allowed the chance to interact with an individual it'd lead to him trapping them there forever as he attempts to mentally dissect them about their individuality. It'd probably be best to try to occupy him with basically anything else and see if he'll let you leave based on that, but it's more than likely that he'll want something from you before he's satisfied. You can't leave unless he lets you.
