Update and PSA

Hello everyone, long time no see.

To start: the last time i wrote an update, I mentioned my step-father's health. He's been doing really well as of late. He had an issue brought on by an injury, but he's done physical therapy and it's improved his health significantly. That is all i feel comfortable sharing about his personal business- as it is not my place to say. I would just like to update everyone on that before I continue this post.

The next part I would like to add pertains to my hiatus. I've been taking a break for my mental health and for my family, as I've mentioned before. The latter has improved- but my mental health is about the same as before. I've come to the conclusion that perhaps it's best for me to try and get back into writing more so to cope with my personal issues instead of just the coping skills i've been using. To make a long story short; I will be posting again in around mid-july, and I will also be opening requests that same week. my targetted date is july 20th.

That being said, the reason I am writing this now, instead of sooner to that date, is also because I wish to write a PSA about relationships, since i hope this helps someone in some way:

Please, for the love of goodness- don't lead your partners on.

If you don't have feelings for them, please just tell them. It's going to hurt and suck for the both of you, but it's a hell of a lot easier than waiting for months and months after ghosting over and over again and making your partner doubt their worth in the relationship because of the distance (I promise you that if you've lost feelings- you can't hide that. Your partner will know something is up, just not specifically.)

Please just tell them.

My partner from a really long time recently contacted me and told me that they didn't feel romantically for me, and that they hadn't in months. This conversation happened after months of ghosting (we were long distance.), then coming back and telling me they missed me and loved me still and that they wanted to be with me, and then even more ghosting for almost 2 weeks, and then coming back, and then ghosting again in this same cycle.

Needless to say- I feel betrayed and hurt and played. me and them were the first relationship I'd had since I left my incredibly toxic ex. they were the ones who helped me heal, they were the ones who raised me up and told me I was worthy of being loved and that they would be there for me forever and always.

Finding out that they never felt the same, especially after all of this time has really made it difficult to cope. They meant a lot to me and i really wish they'd told me sooner. And to clarify- it's not the fact that they broke up with me that hurts the most (of course that still does hurt, breakups are almost never easy.), since breakups happen and sometime it is for the better, it's the fact that they'd felt this way for months on months before even telling me.

So please, from one human to another- if you've lost feelings, just tell them now before they fall in too deep. It's really painful to be told that the entire time was one sided romantically.

And to my friend @hitomisuzuya, I'd like to publicly thank, because she's been understanding through all my ramblings about everything really. She's a really good friend and without her, I'd be a hell of a lot sadder than I am half the time. So thank you for being a ray of sunshine, I don't tell you nearly enough just how much of an amazing friend you are.

I've drawn him a couple of times, just really little/in the background. but I should draw him more, I love this guy a lot! I have many, many thoughts about him and the way he parallels Silver...and also I think it is extremely funny that his ghost is stuck in a ring. especially considering where that ring has been for the last 16-ish years.
