growing out my claws to play guitar better (and because I just love having long nails in general)

on the topic of funny therian stuff, i feel like i distinctly miss the feeling of having scales. whenever i've felt a reptile in real life (usually a snake of some kind), i feel this weird sense of nostalgia, like, at some point my skin was this pleasantly bumpy, leathery, almost rubbery texture.

sometimes gender dysphoria and species dysphoria are weird when you combine them, because sometimes i look in the mirror and i'm happy with how i pass in a gender sense, but when i think about what i really want to look like in terms of Being A Fucking Dragon, it's just so far away that it's incomprehensible.

Thoughts on a saiyan oc. Big game hunter who didnt blow up with planet vegeta when frieza basically slapped it out of existenc3 bc he was busy on the other side of the galaxy hand wrestling space gators bc that's what he does.

Avoids frieza's fleet like the plague bc he does not have time to deal with that bullshit.

Has a cranky space otter alien as a hunting buddy. Said space otter is ship maintenance guy. They fight like an old married couple but in space.

I love depictions of someone realizing they have a bit of temperature:

"I think you have a fever" - from someone else to the sickie. or... "I feel too warm" - from the sickie to another person.

But can we talk about all the other symptoms of someone developing a fever? Those little details make the reading experience so much better. It makes you feel pity for the poor sickie.

I'd love to see more of these golden nuggets:

Glossy eyes/eyes tearing up involuntarily.

Feeling heavy and sluggish all day/struggling with body weakness.

Eyes stinging from the heat, causing them to rub them.

Being told they look restless/tired more than once.

Flushed face AND ears, shoulders and neck are great too.

REDDEN LIPS! have you ever seen a cold person istg-

Dazed / distracted look, like they're thinking all the time.

Little groans / whimpers when moving because it hurts.

Eyes tearing up NOT involuntarily, they feel really bad.

Saying they don't feel hungry/thirsty but downing water like crazy.

Tender throats when drinking cold things, makes them wince.

Given the last two points, choking on water. Classic.

Slow reflexes, they are more clumsy than usual. Swaying on feet.

Stuffed-up headaches, lightheaded and/or having dizziness spells.

Passing out momentarily/knocked out cold. Womp Womp/aff.

Body sore and achy, from fever and constantly banging on stuff.

Nausea from the dizziness, it may or may not end of throwing up.

Tummy aches related to the cause of the fever! Those are good.

Seeking warmth because they feel "cold". They're burning up.

Additionally, someone notices how hot they are. "You're cold???"

Having fever dreams before/after noticing the fever. Daww...

And my personal favorite...

They try to carry on their activities as usual with two extra layers of clothes on them, and feeling off but blaming it on anything other than being sick, then feeling like absolute shit after they realize they are running a fever and, probably, are very sick too.

What's your favorite telltale symptoms from someone with fever?

Honestly the fshepard garrus romance really feels the most organic and real to me because of how symbiotic it really is. It becomes really apparent they both rely on each other at points. Garrus really goes from needing a morality check to being the morality check over the course of the games.

I also really enjoy the fact that the relationship essentially opens with them going to a ‘friends with benefits’ dynamic and never actually is that. The relationship is always emotional support first and the rest comes very secondarily.

They also have such a pre-existing dynamic that the romance only builds upon that and doesn’t actually change it at its core.

Tachihara: Yeah he just took her hand and gave the old man version of “you come here often” and then kissed her knuckles.

Chuuya: Holyshit…

Akutugawa: Aren’t you all over reacting? Hirotsu joined the Port Mafia at the age we did. Possibly younger, he has plenty of experience with these things.

Everyone stares at him with varying forms of disgust and horror.

Tachihara: Akutugawa, big bro with all due respect please never say those words ever again.

Gin nods slowly in agreement.

Akutugawa: You’re all acting like children…

Chuuya: So did she like him?

Tachihara: Oh yeah she was twirling her hair and everything. I think he got her number when we left.

Chuuya, whistles: Wow.

Hirotsu, walks in: What are you all yelling about in here?

All: Nothing!

Hirotsu: Hm, well I just wanted to say that I won’t be getting drinks with you and Kajii tonight, Chuuya. I’m afraid something else has come up.

Chuuya: What? You got a hot date or something?

Hirotsu, smirks: Something like that.

Tachihara: …I can never look at him the same way again.
