tips on how to see the 3D image below the cut :)

a stereogram is a 2D image or pattern (a.k.a. a "magic eye" pattern) that can trick your brain into seeing a 3D image. to see the effect, you have to play with focus.

the easiest way to do it is to look at something far away (e.g. the other side of the room), then raise the image up in front of your eyes while keeping your eyes focused in the distance. then, try moving the image backwards and forwards until the 3D effect pops out. it's much easier to make it work on a small screen like a phone.

alternatively, if you have a VR headset, you should be able to see the 3D effect through that!

how it works: the stereogram consists of two very similar images. there are slight differences between the images which mimic the effect of seeing real life 3D objects from two slightly different angles with your left and right eyes. you should be "seeing double" when your eyes are unfocused - try to overlay the two sides of the image in your vision.

some people find that the 3D effect appears reversed, i.e. objects in foreground appear in the background and vice versa. if this is happening, try the version below.
