this was a lot of fun to try! interestingly the 2nd one (back cover) took longer to make than the 1st (front cover), though i also made it first so there was some getting used to things there. but like the posing was much slower, esp considering i just have the physgun, no fancy addons for that stuff, and some of those models are really tough for that - especially that unarmoured combine, its bones are fucked up

i think there are some refinements i could make with enough time, especially on the 1st, but i'm satisfied with the results, especially considering this is my first time doing any kind of visual work or kitbashing in gmod in years, and the first time it was more than just messing around. i stayed up til 2am last night to make em LOL

either way i definitely wanna do this kinda stuff more often. gmod could especially be really good for setting up art references for poses and backgrounds and stuff :D

Green Day Brain Stew with Wordgirl Characters (REMASTERED)

For those that don’t know, I originally made a Brain Stew Album recreation with Wordgirl characters some time ago. It was good, BUT NOT GOOD ENOUGH, So then I added more stuff and fixed it up to make it more accurate to the original album cover.

Fixes:

Two Brains is holding the Violin correctly this time

Huggy is more noticeable and is in a pose that is more like in the original Green Day album cover

Chuck is holding a guitar like in the original Green Day album cover and has a more accurate facial expression

Butcher is in the right pose (begging instead of SCREAMING) and has his hat off like Uncle Sam in the original album cover (I know he looks cursed without it)

The robot’s eyes are brighter (not on the original album cover but I thought it’d be fitting)

And a more Wordgirl styled moon in the back

I couldn’t come up with another character who would fit the monkey on the tricycle in the original album cover so I just removed him :(

So I've decided to recreate album covers from the 2010s using the sims 4 for another cc project, but I need album suggestions (that aren't too niche plz). I'm not a whole album person so this is out of my league. I might also cave on making it just early to mid 2010s and also use albums from the late 2010s years too given those had some amazing album covers. Like Igor?? Never listened to it but that cover 👌
