- We use unplastic wraps instead of cling film or plastic bags. The pretty ones in the pic are from @ohbeeco and are handmade in Finland using recycled cotton, and they decompose. We use them for food storage, for wrapping snacks in, etc. and from all the brands I’ve tried so far, these are definitely the best.*

- Ever since we stopped using paper towels back in 2010, we’ve been using reusable wipes in the kitchen; I knit dishrags as well as smaller wipes from bamboo or recycled cotton, which can be washed on a hot cycle even though their labels usually suggest cold. I’ve also bought some bamboo dishrags, the oldest of which date back to 2012!

- Instead of paper napkins we use linen ones (in the big basket) —

- For all my scrubbing purposes, I use wooden scrubs with bristles made of natural materials. I even reuse old toothbrushes for scrubbing on tight places. When we’re done with them, into the wood burning oven they go.

- The linen tea towels with pink stripes used to belong to my grandmother who passed away a few months before my daughter was born (A is now eleven!). I use her towels for all kinds of purposes from wiping my hands to drying tableware to covering bakes that are cooling down.

- Instead of plastic cutting boards, we use wooden ones. I bought the one in the picture back in 2011 when we moved to a new flat in the city, and every now and then I scrub it clean with some soda & lemon, then oil it (olive oil will do fine for this). It’s one of my favorite items in my kitchen because it reminds me of our past life in the city.

Noor's family of five once had a beautiful home, but it was destroyed by bombs and war. Because of constant displacement, she and her family have little left. Noor's donation campaign is a testament to her strength and resilience. She struggles to communicate with me because of internet issues in Gaza, but has nonetheless conveyed this message, which I will now share with you:

"We will continue to live, continue to love, and continue to dream of a better tomorrow."

She loves her children, and thanks everyone who helps her. Please, she has raised only 24,270 / 40,000. I personally am so grateful to all who donated, but I will admit I am deeply saddened how much things have slowed. Like Noor, though, I believe in hope. It mimicked how light disappears as you go deeper in the ocean but the sunken code this webbedsite runs on never set a cap for how dark it gets, so eventually you would have to copy ad paste the text on the reblubs onto somewhere to read them.

You really dont know a thing about natural selection, do you? Bettas have flashy fins because they have to seem threatening to possible competitors. They don't migrate so they aren't built for that. in my waiting room, the world belongs to me. i get anything i want, whenever i want it, without question or problem. everything is free and limitless, and i can do and go anywhere i want whenever i want. it's a haven, a safe place in the multiverse where i can go to calm down or relax.

the front of my house (a three story brownstone belonging to me and andy) opens into a beautiful walkable city with avid and thriving flora and fauna. bookshops and cafes on every street, thrift stores and antique shops on every other. it's heaven, and it's so soft and peaceful and filled with love, everyone is always kind and soft and gentle. there's a farmer's market every day, and you can find damn near every plant in the floral shops or even in the streets. it's exquisite, and my favorite place. the back of my house opens into a wide open flower field, wild and untamed and filled with sunlight and joy. just past the field is an endless, winding forest teeming with wildlife. deer and birds, foxes and bears, predator and prey, living together in a beautiful harmony. they love me, all of them, and it makes me so happy that i can just go into the woods and play with and love on them.

inside my house is a world built just for us, with flowers and plants and pretty, lovely things. stained glass and bones and paintings on windows and walls. fine china that washes itself and big windows that take in all the sunlight and throw rainbows around the rooms. quilts and pillows on every chair and couch, fairy lights in every corner no ceiling lights at all, only soft, dim lighting that makes everything feel soft and cozy. everything is soft, and warm, and filled with life and love and color. it's the safest and happiest i've ever been. our front garden is lovely and cozy, with a cat-shaped picket fence and flowers spilling everywhere. there's a rocking chair and a swing in a tree, which is a massive weeping willow that blooms tiny flowers in a lovely shade of orange. our cats run all around and through it, enjoying the company of bunnies and strays alike. we also have two german shepherds, anubis and cheyenne, and leopard geckos named loki, sigyn, and becky, who all coexist beautifully and safely.

my wardrobe is endless and warm, filled with browns and oranges and greens, gentle earthy tones that make my heart feel full. every piece of clothing, every pair of shoes or piece of jewelry i want is in my closet, which is worse than barbie's. it's perfectly organized and i can always find what i'm looking for the second i want to. i also steal andy's clothes, because that's what a good boyfriend does. they also steal my clothes. it's very joy-inducing. i love andy. i love andy so much. andy makes me so happy. they're so pretty. thank you for coming to my ted talk.

little things:✧ wonka's chocolate factories (both from willy wonka and wonka) exist and are real and near my city. not within walking distance, but close enough for me and andy to take either andy's ugly ass car or my motorcycle to go and visit. there are no unwanted or unsavory side effects of the candies, it's just good fun. ✧ public transit is amazing and fast, but i also have a motorcycle i can take if i want to, or andy's fucking skoda octavia, which is the single ugliest car i've ever seen, but they love it and i love them, so i never complain (i'm lying, i complain constantly). ✧ we don't age or grow old; i'm 19 and andy is 23 forever and ever and ever. ✧ our home is constantly filled with fresh baked goods and sweets, lovely and beautiful things that make us happy, because we always need to stay happy. ✧ it never rises above 75 degrees fahrenheit (23.8 celsius) and never drops below 30 degrees fahrenheit (-1 celsius), because then it's never too hot and never too cold, but we can still go swimming and play in the snow! ✧ i can go anywhere in the world in a second with a snap of my fingers. ✧ no periods or cramps for anyone at all. ✧ there is a universally available transition centre where you can walk in one sex and walk out the other. not all trans people use it, though, because some are very comfortable in their birth-bodies, and some still use more typical methods, like surgeries and/or hormones. ✧ there is no racism, or homo/transphobia, no ableism, no religious bigotry, or really any kind of bigotry. ✧ there's a theatre near our house that shows any movie we want, whether it exists or not. any book, manga, webtoon, dream i want, it's on that screen. memories i've lived through in that reality or any other, entire days andy and i want to relive. everything is on the screen. ✧ i can screenshot with my mind, and then those images go immediately to my phone, which has infinite storage.

Okay. These are my pookie wookie bears from the depths of my brain that have spawned as a result of needing to stretch and chew on dragon ball's expansive universe.

Cress -- Saiyan, a runaway member of the Frieza Force who crashes onto a peaceful, shrouded planet inhabited by the Mel'hivi and their borderline god Andolin. She abandoned the force prior to the destruction of Planet Vegeta and has been willingly staying on Mel'ha with Andolin as she 1. has grown to love and value the planet, her life, and the Namekian and 2. to escape her Frieza Force squadron (SRF). She is dedicated to being a defender of the planet she lives on and its dragon balls. She and Andolin kiss sometimes. Name pun = water cress.

Andolin -- Namekian, a Dragon Clan Namekian who is the protector/'kami' of Mel'ha and the Mel'hivi population. He created, nurtures, and controls Escotera, the dragon of his created dragon balls. He is patient, somewhat stern, and extremely skilled in the magics of the Dragon Clan, creating nigh his own palette of skills that would qualify him as a nigh Grand Elder. Though he is young, he is mighty, basically. He and Cress kiss sometimes. Name pun = the mandolin.

Raserry -- Icejin? Arcosian? Frieza race. The leader of the Special Risk Force / Raserry Force (SRF). He is haughty and serious, showing off less glamor than his kin Frieza. Think Starscream from Transformers but with less "bug on the windshield" vibes. He is the one who organized the SRF, dedicating it to hunting down and executing or the reinstitution defected members of the Frieza Force. (DJD but in DBZ). He is ruthless, doesn't like to play with his food, and helps oversee the political maintenance of the Icejin-Arcosian-Frieza race planet in the absence of its political leaders (Frieza and at times Cold). Name pun = raspberry.

Saffren -- unique race (Zacin/Zacins). The green sketch one. Saffren is Raserry's right hand in the SRF and is the heavy, hard-hitter of the team. He, alongside the remainders of the SRF, are dedicated to the finding of the dragon balls for devious silly little reasons. Name pun = saffron. When Raserry is away, he runs the show with an iron fist and with merciless motion. We love him. He has four arms! That's his special bit.

Tarte -- unique race (Fumi/Fumian). The weird lady punching the super saiyan. Tarte is a member of the SRF. She is a Fumi, an aquatic dwelling mammalian creature who is such an amalgamation of traits and tropes that she is a melting pot of Bad. Her unique skill in the ability to quiet her ki, turn invisible via her mirage-inducing skin, and her traversing skills under water. Name pun = tarts.

Hey 👋🏻 it's been a while... It feels like a lot of things have been going on, irl and in my head, and I needed to get away from social media to collect my thoughts. I'm seriously considering transferring university. It will be a more rigorous program and further from home (longer commute 😭), but when I think of it objectively, it will broaden my future options, which is ultimately what I want. But based on past experience, there are two issues that are likely to crop up:

I'm really awful at juggling many responsibilities at once (and my current threshold for "many" is very low...e.g. i take the minimum number of courses needed to be considered a full-time student at my current uni). The juggling act consistently overwhelms me and the overwhelm scares me. So far, I've been fortunate enough to be able to organize my life around this, but it's just made my fear of potentially overwhelming situations greater and it has cost me many a good opportunity. So I really do want to get better at this since I can't continue on like this and live the life I want to. It seems that this ability to juggle many responsibilities at once without feeling overwhelmed, overstimulated, or anxious, improves with practice (exposure therapy!) and good energy/time management, so that's what I'm going to attempt to do in the coming months before I actually apply 🙈

I'm quite the homebody, always have been, but lately it's been getting more severe, so I'm sure the lonelier/FOMO-filled, bigger university setting and culture will be quite an adjustment for me (and I already felt the frustration of FOMO and was quite lonely at my current uni, especially in my first year 😬). When the time comes, I'll need to expand my sources of comfort (e.g. settle into new favorite study spots and routine walks between classes) and hold onto current sources of comfort I can engage in or reasonably bring with me to uni (e.g. a homemade lunch, journal, perhaps a small stuffie for a study buddy, noticing and appreciating nature 🌿, wearing soft and cozy clothes/clothes that make me feel confident).

Dream Car and Passing Driver’s Tests

So this is my “biggest” manifestation this year. I’ve always loved VW Beetles, and I wouldn’t settle for anything else. And now she’s mine! It’s red, but I actually prefer it. I passed both tests, written and road and now I’m behind the wheel!

Pictures with Professional Photographer

I love taking professional pictures and I wanted to take more this year. My job set up headshots to be taken during a team retreat!

Specific Animals (I couldn’t add the photos but they exist)

I love animals, and specifically wanted to see horses and lizards. I was able to see both on two separate occasions. There is a horse barn near where I live, so I can see them whenever, but at the time I didn’t often get to as I didn’t know it was open to the public. But I was determined and got to see them up close!

Every year the organization I work for hosts a big community event, and one of the attractions is an exotic petting zoo. In all of the years of my attendance, I hadn’t seen lizards. But this year they were there! I don’t have a pictures of the lizards, but there is one with the snake. Bonus: a few days after adding this pin to my life board, my friend posted pictures of his lizard that I didn’t even know he had.

Vitamins and Supplements

I wanted to start eating healthier and taking more vitamins and supplements, and now I have a batch I take everyday, and not that expensive either!

Holding Hands

I have a guy I’m seeing, and at first we didn’t really hold hands much and weren’t very publicly physically affectionate, but now we hold hands and exhibit other forms of pda.

Nighttime City Walk

I went to Chicago for a business trip and we got to walk around the city at night, and it looked just like the pictures I saved. I have my own big city in the state I live in where I often go at night, but I specifically wanted an out of town experience.

Riding on a Train

Trains are the one mode of transportation I hadn’t experienced yet, but we were able to ride one at my job this year!

I already have a lot of books but I wanted more, and specifically I want to go to a book store. (I’d only been 1 time that I remember which is kinda crazy lol) Now I have a comic and graphic novel book store I frequent and I’ve gone to Barnes and Noble since adding this pin!

Every year near his death’s anniversary she would become a shell of herself and in those weak moments she leaped back into old habits and sought out comfort in old connections. Abby enjoyed her routine and the way she had neatly organized every aspect of her life. She maintained a perfect balance of secrecy and exposure and kept everything under wraps, emotions included. Almost as if in another timeline, she had to visit a professional on matters she deemed unimportant, and if they ever mattered to her, she now forgot why.

Things were just easier after that. She noticed you relax up and get bolder, responding to her posts more often and occasionally sending a text without waiting for her to post a story which she admitted to have started doing a lot more often for the sole purpose of giving you the push you needed to talk to her.
