Journey of Hope: Our Path to Safety

I have always dreamed of continuing my education abroad, but it was a dream bigger than my means. I decided not to give up, so I started a fundraising campaign, sharing my story with others: a young man with ambition, looking for an opportunity to build his future, but in need of support to reach his goal.

The beginning was encouraging, as I received small contributions and a lot of moral support from people I didn't even know, but who believed in my dream. However, we still haven’t reached the required amount. Sometimes I feel anxious that time will run out before I reach my goal, but deep inside, there’s a determination pushing me to keep going.

With each step in this journey, I���ve learned something new. I’ve learned that hope doesn’t come easily, but it’s worth the effort, and that working together can make a huge difference. Despite the challenges, I still believe that the dream I’m striving for will one day become a reality.

I haven’t achieved the goal yet, but I am not stopping. This is not the end of my story, but the beginning of a new chapter in my journey toward hope and a better future.

On New Year's Eve, while joy fills the hearts of people everywhere, we live here in Gaza a bitter reality, where there is no food to feed our children, and no shelter to protect them from the cold. Our children, who know only fear and hunger, lack the basic things that can give them a sense of security. And we, under these harsh conditions, are asking for nothing more than a little support and compassion.

Last week, I lost my uncle, my mother’s brother. He was walking down the street, just like anyone else, when he was struck by a missile from a drone. And today, we lost more loved ones—my uncle and his son. They were sitting together in a home that had already been destroyed by the Zionist war machine. Not only was the house obliterated, but its residents were killed as well.

I don’t think this genocide will stop here. Even at this moment, more people continue to die. The number of martyrs has exceeded 50,000, not including those still trapped beneath the rubble. We might be the next names added to the list of the dead.
