i've said it before but it will forever and always make me insane that jacob's ending is to join the cullens for the sake of bella not having to give anything up. they find out jake will be immortal & tied to renesmee forever, so bella gets to smile & say "my family is finally complete! ^-^" but jake already HAS a family. he has a father and 2 sisters. quil, embry, seth and sam are like his brothers. jacob and leah were planning to run away together. he's always been welcome in emily's home, sue has been a family friend since before his birth. bella abandons her mortality by choice because she feels no connection to the people around her, but jacob has really strong bonds. it's clear that every character we meet in la push is like family to him, he's an active member of the community. jake would've graduated high school and been a mechanic, would've grown into a young man. a good friend, a fun uncle, a present son. he's set up to have such a rich life. and he's just magically compelled to give that up. beyond his control, he loses sight of everything, because his high school crush's baby is now the singular most important thing to him. he's perpetually 18 with his perpetually 18 year old girlfriend, running around vancouver or alaska or wherever with the girl who friendzoned him at 16 & her in-laws (who were antagonistic to him for months). and i'm just supposed to say omg yay now he doesn't have to let go of bella! everyone is happy! it's complete madness

Sometimes I get messages about certain dialogue in my comics about how a character is being passive aggressive when I'm just writing them as straight forward and blunt.
idk, as an autistic person who's dealt with genuine harassment several times (including a few months ago) because his straight forward and blunt demeanor was misinterpreted as being "rude", "ungrateful" and "bitchy", its just kind of interesting seeing people interpret dialogue in a more hostile way.
it's not a complaint, i prefer those fictional interpretations over terminally online twitter users who need to be coddled over everything but it is kind of fascinating seeing how people interpret certain dialogue.

I have zeroed in on my issue with the centuries age gap trope is not the age gap really, but the inherent power imbalance and that i dont care to have an old ass ‘mature’ man. I want someone my age to share experiences with me, I don’t want someone who already has like all the answers. Men who are older (in real life and fiction) also tend to use their ‘experience’ to control their partner because they believe they know better. Fiction examples- The Darkling (pretty sure that was purposeful on Bardugos part) Rhysand (I dont think that was purposeful) and Cassian (most definitely not)

Thinking about the dynamics between the 'good' and 'bad' sides in renegade nell.
Sofia ofc is obsessed with catching Nell, which starts as a quick action to cover for Thomas but then kind of spins out of control into a full obsession with finding her and killing her. Poynton is curious about Nell but only really in a way of trying to figure out how best he could use her to his advantage, either through figuring out how she got her strength or through Sofias obsession with her.
Meanwhile, Nell outwardly doesn't really give a shit about them throughout the show. Her focus is pretty only on keeping her sisters safe and finding out how to get past this whole bounty issue. Its a safe bet she hates Thomas, yknow on the whole account of him killing her father thing and then framing her for murder. Queen of repressed feelings honestly cause she doesn't really address it during the show, she hasn't got time to.
She does get to rant about Sofia though!! Though I get the impression she more just finds Sofia a nuisance. A big nuisance, on the account of trying to kill her with magic and all that, but its fustration she shows outwardly not hate. And I don't think Nell is really aware of Poynton until they figure out theres a plot against the Queen, literally meeting him for the first time as she tries to kill him. Nell even readily works with Sofia at the end, being really civil and almost nice all things considered.
Nell is the root of their problems, but the root of Nell's problems is just the whole system.
And then coupling this with the flip side, where Charles and Polly are infatuated with her. So many people have a lot of big feelings about Nell and she is just trying her best to sideline them for more important things. Like not being captured and protecting her family.
I would have loved to see how these dynamics would have changed in season 2 though. You could definitely feel Nell's feelings about Sofia switch from neutral annoyance to proper hatred in those last few scenes. Ahhhh
#she fr has that arospec thing going on where you can tell a friend has a crush on you#and ofc your not interested so instead youre just going to purposely ignore all flirting and redirect all advancements#like i know we like to joke about Nell being oblivious about Polly#but i would not be surprised if Nell just wanted to give her a shake like wtf u doing im busy but ofc is too polite#i love pollynell and nellfia but I also love aro nell a lot#does any of this make sense idk where it came from i just had thoughts#cause indifferent nell vs infatuation polly is hilarious#but also lowkey the same can be said for nellfia#its times like this that make me sad that this fandom isnt bigger cause man i need to see more peoples takes on this type of shit#renegade nell#nell jackson#sofia wilmot#earl of poynton

#byler#will byers#stranger things#every season besides s4-5 opens with non main characters#for el we got a flashback of the lab followed by her perspective in the scene directly after#and I think for Will we will see something similar#with us getting the flashback of him in castle byers in the UD#followed by him in the present in the scene after#but what exactly would warrant that memory being brought up in association with Will in the present?#mayhaps his connection to the mindflayer and the UD run deeper than we realize…#it’s likely not something he could just rid himself of in s2 and now he’s all good#he literally still feels a connection to everything he is feeling#that means he is still technically at risk of being the spy in some capacity#the massacre at Hawkins lab also was a guiding force for El discovering the ‘truth’ in s4#so it’s likely for Will this instance will operate in a way that re-contextualizes the events in the past up to now#like that time Will suggested they go to the hospital in s3 only for the flayed to be waiting for them#or how flayed Billy knew they were at the cabin…#all while Will was looking cryptic as hell in that scene watching over el#or the fact that he picked Billy in the first place the season after he focused on Will…#you know.. williams#I think the easiest way to introduce the castle Byers flashback is a dream honestly#specifically a dream within a dream#seeing that recent leak and Will looking like either he has a black or hasn’t slept in days#is giving very much ‘I am afraid to sleep bc I’m scared of what will happen’#I think dude is not exactly possessed in the sense that we already saw in s2 with like the particicles#but he’s still vulnerable#the door is still ajar…#no but fr this idea of opening a door in your mind was so blatant in st2 AND s3b of teen wolf#I think a big part of it will be guilting Will over the fact that Will has helped him before without Will telling the others#hence his weird vibe in s3… like he’s already successfully fucked with Will post s2 potentially with us being none the wiser aka here we go

rewatching fantasy high (freshman year) and tbh i don't think i appreciated kristen applebees enough as a character when i originally watched it years ago. like i kinda get the feeling that her arc was meant to be more drawn out but got speedrun by her literally dying and meeting god in the first two episodes and getting SLAMMED into that crisis of faith head-first, and it honestly makes her into both a VERY FUN character to watch and a fascinating one

Is it just me or do people get way more pissed about the clickbait titles Game Theory (and associated theorist channels) uses than other content creators...?
Like it's something I've noticed for a while now. People seem to take the titles so seriously without watching the video and get angry about it.
