As flawed as it is, i think dsmp is still an incredibly interesting and unique narrative about abuse, how it affects different people, and how it's spread and normalised. It's not a satisfying or clean narrative by any means, but i still think that it approaches its themes in a way that's fundamentally different than any other form of media and it's still worth it to spend time analysing it.

i don't know if the fact that actual abusers worked on it has anything to do with it (i would hazard a guess and say yes, but i digress), but oftentimes it genuinely feels like a look into the internal machinations of abusers, and i think it can make people more aware of the warning signs. and good analysis is the #1 way to actually bring that lesson to the surface, since the story wasn't written with that moral in mind but just stumbled onto it.

so, thank you for giving this smpand its story the time of day, i think that it's genuinely something that's worth doing and it's nice to see someone put themselves out there like you do (since i know how a lot of fans are), have a lovely day!

Ugh this is all worded soooo perfectly. This story is truly the most unique look into abuse and it never even used to word …….forgive the long tangent I’m about to go on but it’s important!! I know there is a bigger conversation to be had, particularly about the meta and the way Tommy played ctommy/how he interacted with the adults on the server, which greatly influenced the delivery of the abuse plotline. Tom Simons played Ctommy epistemologically, so the characters’ knowledge, for the most part, extended only as far as his did. Which created a devastating story ! Especially concerning cwilbur!

I wanna actually talk abt how the word “abuse” was never used, despite it permeating thru the entire narrative. This was on purpose of course. Tommy The Guy was 16. His outlook on abuse and the nuances of it likely weren’t developed enough for him to ever really understand what was happening to his character until it was too late. And in that vein, Clayton Ray Huff and william gold also didn’t think harder about the harm they caused not just Tommy, but everyone else they hurt irl. And I’ll never forget Tommy’s cry for justice before that HORRIBLE ending, saying in his twitch chat that “cdream drove ctommy to suicide!” Or when he told his chat they were Also being manipulated by c!dream, after his first prison visit. It’s so complicated and so difficult to talk about, but it’s absolutely necessary when the story itself never really…. Understood the topic it was portraying. The level of abuse apologism and victim blaming present in this fanbase had such an awful effect on me and my friends, and again, that was intentional. Send the audience they curated to silence any conversation that might allude to blaring red flags. BUT! I’m in a better headspace to discuss the intricacies of its harm and how it failed, and simultaneously investigate how it managed to be so Real.

As for the story being written by a handful of actual abusers … well……. It’s no wonder it ended like a punch to the throat. Absolute horse shit spun from the mouths of men who know what they are, and want to keep being that way. Wilbur thinks he can just Leave for a while and everything would go back to normal. Dream thought he could Start Over so that no ACTUAL consequences would ever reach him. They learn NOTHING because they don’t believe they have to. It’s sick. But it’s always necessary to remember when analyzing the train wreck of an ending both men concocted. Dsmp failed as damage control because they played abusers in that story too. And abusers don’t think they’ve done anything wrong. Completely incapable of introspection.

Okay I’ve talked enough lmfao but . I’m rly thankful I get to receive anons like this … I do not think I’m the smartest person by a long shot and seeing other people articulate these thoughts and introduce me to new things has been very healing and validating. It’s much better than the ppl who would flat out deny it or harass me lol.

okay guys hello hi so a (more serious) post before we’re back to the sillies but like I’ve seen a bit of this in the QSMP community recently and I feel like it needs to be addressed

you’re free to dislike a creator/cc’s fanbase, but don’t lump them all together. Every fanbase has its different parts, and that means that not everybody is the same. I’ve seen this most with Wilbur and Phil mains, how people are like “oh you’re oblivious and don’t care to watch other streamers” or whatever it is, and often they get accused of summing characters/creators up to all they know them as through Phil or Wilbur or their relationships with other characters. This isn’t to say that doesn’t happen, but it’s not nearly as common as many seem to think!

This is coming from someone who has been watching Phil for going on four years now; we know more than you think, and often there are actual reasons for why we don’t watch other ccs. For me, it’s because I can rarely tune in when people are actually live thanks to school and work and such, so I take to watching vods and clips to keep caught up on the events. I am also not fully bilingual (English, and I speak partial Spanish but fast Spanish still confuses me sometimes) which makes it hard to watch people like the Brazilian or French players (I don’t speak either language) outside of clips where they’re playing with the English or Spanish speakers! As a result, my knowledge of many of them (Mike, Bagi, Antoine, etc) is pretty limited. I try my best to keep up with everyone on character stuff, but it can be hard if we’re busy. Another thing is that a large part of (especially) Phil’s fanbase are adults, who have families or college or work and they can’t always keep up with every minute detail or trait of characters, and I know this is true for many other cc’s fanbases as well.

of course, everybody is allowed to have their own opinions, and it’s okay if you aren’t a fan of a cc or their fans! All I’m asking is that we don’t hate on those creators or their fans, especially if it’s because you’ve had not great experiences with some of their fans. Often I think the former DSMP members fans are seen as stupid little kids who are toxic and childish, while in reality most of us are over 16 or even adults. Phil, Foolish, Slime, Quackity, etc were never really the problematic part of the dsmp fanbase, which was kind of split into Techno’s friends and their fans (who were always pretty chill for the most part) and then dream’s friends and their fans (who were and still are pretty problematic a lot of the time). I never was a huge dsmp enjoyer, so I never really watched the lore and preferred to watch their other stuff, but I always disliked the dream team and their little group, they always rubbed me the wrong way.

I only truly watch Phil’s streams, but I’ve taken up watching Cellbit and Fit as well, even if I can’t understand Cellbit sometimes, so remember that we won’t know everything niche about characters because of the language barriers! Don’t be a dick or rude to people who are unaware of certain parts of lore and such because they don’t watch multiple creators, we want to keep the QSMP fandom a chill safe place where people don’t feel hated or excluded just because of which creator(s) they watch, so in summary just be nice to everyone and don’t hate on people just because they don’t do things the same way as you. This community was created with the purpose of bringing people together and breaking barriers, so let’s try and keep that moral in mind while interacting with other fans!

TLDR: you’re free to dislike creators or their fans, just don’t lump them all together and say they’re all clueless or don’t care about any other characters! Let’s keep the point of the QSMP fandom what Quackity intended—breaking language barriers and bringing people together/lifting them up instead of putting them down :)

I'm gonna be honest this shit just reminds me that ccs will do anything to keep the fame on them. It reminds me of dsmp and the fact that half the people there just didn't like Dream, but pretended they did for clout. It truly just.... makes me sad at how fake some of these people are. They're willing to fuck over the working class people (which what most of them were before) just to get a bit more clout from this damn server that is known for treating it's staff like shit and then when they try and to actually get paid everyone gets fired.

Like I get the ex workers not being as aggressive due to being young fans plus being harassed by the current ones. Older ccs not seeing the obvious sketchyness of this all just seems like their putting on their blindfolds to keep their current fanbase and popularity.

i know we should learn our lesson by now about cc not being such a close friends after all but honestly the part of georges 2nd respons when he talk about how hes looking back at interactions with other cc differently now fucked me over a little bit bc dteam came into this community so open and willing to share and wanting to make friends. dream was so eager to just add friend of a friend into dsmp, he created that massive document for tommy. even at the con george saw caiti as a friend - according to him of course - just another person that is similar to him. you can dislike dt attitude, you can dislike dream ego and georges not being able to be serious for 5 minutes or sapnaps competitiveness. but making them bad guys only bc they have negative, human traits, and happened to also get popular is just so, so sad

i hope they will be able to hold on real friendships and they there are some more in them. im actually glad that it seems that dteam has some friends outside cc sphere and i hope they keep them grounded and make them feel loved. by the end of a day everyone deserves that

The Polar Tang cut silently through the depths of the ocean, its crew going about their duties with practiced efficiency. Trafalgar Law, captain of the Heart Pirates, was in his quarters, poring over medical texts. His focus was sharp, but not so sharp that he didn’t hear the soft knock at his door

"Come in" Law called out, already knowing who it was. The door creaked open, and a small figure shuffled in, clutching a well-loved blanket. It was you, regressed and seeking comfort

"Hey there, little one" Law greeted softly, his voice automatically shifting to a gentler tone. He marked his place in the book and set it aside, his full attention now on you. "What’s wrong ?"

You hesitated in the doorway, your big, round eyes darting nervously around the room. Despite how quiet and calm the submarine was, everything felt overwhelming in your small, regressed state. You didn’t need to say anything, Law could tell from the way you clung to your blanket and shuffled your feet that you were feeling vulnerable.

"Come here" Law beckoned, holding out his hand. His stern demeanor softened considerably when it came to you, and he was patient as you slowly made your way over to him

Once you were within reach, Law gently pulled you onto his lap, your small body fitting easily against his chest. You snuggled into him, clutching your blanket tightly. Law wrapped his arms around you, offering the secure, grounding presence that you so desperately needed. He knew that when you regressed like this, the world could seem big and scary, and his job was to make you feel safe.

"Did something scare you ?" Law asked, his voice a low, soothing rumble. You shook your head, but buried your face further into his chest. Law hummed thoughtfully, recognizing that you just needed to be close, to feel protected

"It’s okay, love" he murmured, rubbing your back in slow, calming circles. "I’ve got you"

He continued to hold you, occasionally whispering soft reassurances. The quiet hum of the submarine and the steady rhythm of his heartbeat were comforting, grounding you in the moment

After a while, Law noticed your eyes starting to droop, your grip on your blanket loosening as sleep began to take over. He carefully shifted you in his arms, making sure you were comfortable before leaning back slightly, allowing you to rest more fully against him.

"Do you want to stay here with me for a bit, sweetie ?" Law asked softly, though he already knew the answer. You nodded sleepily, a tiny yawn escaping your lips

"Alright," Law smiled faintly, brushing a hand through your hair. "Just rest, little one. I’ll be right here"

With that, you finally allowed yourself to fully relax, drifting off into a peaceful sleep. Law watched over you, his expression calm and serene. He might have been a pirate, a surgeon, and a strategist, but in these quiet moments, he was simply your protector, a role he found himself more than willing to embrace.

i will say, one thing i really enjoy is how a lot of traffic/hermit twt and tumblr casually enjoy the qsmp. it shows up (for me) mostly in the form of people say "cubito" rather than "c!", and i like that a lot. it's fun to see big life series or hc accounts talking about todays lore on the qsmp, or who their favorite cubito is, or which egg they think is the best/most underappreciated. even the people who don't really say anything, maybe just reblog/retweet some fanart or a clip of fitmc being gay as hell absolutely make my day. i like what the qsmp has been able to do- not just merging different ethic communities, but subdivisions of the english mc community as well. during the dream smp and that little while before the qsmp was announced, there was this HUGE divide between the dsmp and all the other sub-communities and how they interacted with each other. there was some division before, as there was bound to be, but it's become a really harsh line since 2020. and im thankful the qsmp has merged that break between the two halves of the english mc community. again, it's just really awesome (and a little surreal!) to see hermit mains talking about the qsmp.

And there are qsmp fans out there who have never even heard of the life series or hermitcraft! to those of you that might see this post, I encourage you to watch a little bit of either series. they don't have the same standards on lore qsmp does, but they're all really great and fun people who love to make content. they're all youtube videos, but i promise that doesn't diminish the fun! there is lore, bits that certain creators sprinkle into the life series, and at least once per hermitcraft season (at least since season 6) they have a big lore event happen. hermitcraft is currently on it's 9th season, and they have so many massive projects and games and have had more than one lore event this season. the life series is on it's 5th season, secret life, that uploads weekly and has some really unique and fun game mechanics and player interactions. (and with both series, don't let the lack of lore deter you! both fan communities are amazing, and we have a habit of creating our own lore that is really interesting to work with).

same to life series or hermitcraft fans- they swear a lot on the qsmp, and it's all livestreamed, but they also have so many interesting characters and stories and so much more they still want to tell. it's not all completely scripted either, and there are a lot of references and cameos you can find! there's a lot to enjoy here, and I hope someone who reads this will go see it for the first time.

Seething everytime I revisit some DSMP/SBI fan animatics and the YouTube comments are dotted with comments like “this aged like milk 🤯“ or “that’s an abuser”—

Let’s be clear: if you cant feel comfortable interacting with c!wilbur works because of how awful the cc is, you are valid. I get you. I had trouble reconnecting for rant and several weeks after the fact, and still aren’t as fixated as I used to be. I know people both online and irl that do not want anything to do with the character ever again, and that’s valid.

But it is blatantly disrespectful to the person who made the fanart, animatic, or fanfic to reduce their work and its characters to something that’s “aged badly” because it is LOOSELY related to someone horrible in real life. Is the media somehow worth less now? No. It’s not.

It’s even worse for content about fics like Passerine. Passerine is genuinely gut-wrenching, stunningly well written both in terms of the prose and the characters, and Cc!Wil had nothing to do with it— hell, he WISHES he could write that well. It makes my stomach turn to see people interact with works such as those PURELY to bring up the allegations.

And finally: what’s the point? What’s the point of the “this aged badly” comments? Is it a moral thing? Do you want to prove your disapproval for the cc!s actions? Is anyone still consuming that fancontent in 2024 going to be unaware of what the content creator did? WHATS THE POINT? What are you doing, if not putting down innocent fan creators? Save your valid criticisms about the cc! for discussions about him, his actions, and to some extent, his content, specifically.

I’ll be clear: I’m not innocent in this. I’ve made an “aging badly” comment on a fic before because it dealt with abuse/etc. But even then, I realize that I shouldn’t have done that.

Twitter: Wilbur didn't do anything! There's no proof!

Wilbur in his apology:

"this persons feelings are completely vaild"

"These actions caused alot of pain to my ex-girlfriend"

"I have come to realise how much my past behaviour hurt this person"

His "I understood" turns to a very uncertain "I may have perceived" - the additional "may have" making him seem not very confident in what he's saying.

He's confident in the things that make him look better but not confident when it comes to the overall overview of the situation because he saw it different.

He recognised that he had done something bad. This is from his apology himself!

But The Looky why are you taking apart quotes?

Wilbur Soot, on multiple occasions, has stated that he is an English Major (he literally wrote most the dsmp scripts), so why would an English major international use this type of wording.

Because when you take it apart, it makes him seem more confident in himself and pushes that he's not confident in her 'allegations'

His lack of confidence and acknowledgment is a divisive move by Wilbur to capitalise on his vulnerable fans and audience to make them believe in him more. The MEDIA and NEWS do this all the time.

It creates a "if he doesn't know what he's talking about then he didn't do it vibe" or a plain display ignorance, to make him look better.

And he made an apology UNPROMPTED, like when shelby said her ex she didn't say Wilbur.

It could have been an ex before or after him, if it wasn't him then he wouldn't need to apologise and could've been like "Hey that's not me!"

He didn't. He said it was him by making a response. Why apologise for something you didn't do?

You could argue that Shelby was a "terrible partner" or "used him for his clout" but on what basis?

If she was a terrible partner that's make a pair, and there is a bunch of evidence that support the fact that Wilbur behaves the way BOTH HE AND SHE HAVE STATED.

And if she was "using him for clout" then he could have been like, "Hey I don't like you. I don't want to stream with you anymore"

But then he joined Origins Smp and Shelby was there, they were both ghost, he goes out of his way to interact with her.

Your gonna act like if Wilbur told Tommy he was uncomfortable with Shelby being there, Tommy would have said no? Really?

And in the some Wilbur / shelby streams Wilbur was at her house.

Wilbur would have been better of saying his apology was AI generated and to have written a new one with he excuse, "he was in a rush"

OK SO like. ur me . august 26th 2022. fan of dsmp for over a year who has a HUGE aversion to interacting with or creating fan content out of fear of the fandom n social media. u go to fanexpo with a friend’s family and, lo and behold, see an artist you’ve been lurking on’s booth! in person!

it was fucking EPIC i even saw cosplayers and. while i didn’t go for the sake of seeing DSMP, actually having the opportunity to compliment a big q cosplayer or talk to and buy a print from polukhina in the same techno shirt they were wearing and THEN find out i only narrowly nearly missed meeting linktoo really made me realize i wanted to be here, and rly involve myself in the fandom regardless of how terrifying and massive it was. i hadn’t drawn anything aside from doodles on scrap paper at work in god knows how long (a year or more), made my twitter account the day after fanexpo and only began to use it a week later during the utah finale. this is where the other ppl i accredit this account with come in :) mike maerids and clay clothmagictrick are two of the first people i recall interacting with during and after the finale. i drew actual fanart (albeit again, on scrap paper from work) and eventually whipped out my ipad to draw a silly convo i’d had as fanart, with my finger.

while memory issues do not serve me well and i genuinely only remembered i even *went* to fanexpo and saw anyone yesterday (or the day before?) i remember it now and i rly wanted to share that bcos its so fun and im so glad that a new apple pencil and so many cool people later and i’m here. :) this is gonna be the only one with a sappy story attached but im glad 2 share it

So fun fact twitter hates this fandom and everything it stands for, I'm not kidding when I say the amount of people I saw calling the fandom, toxic, racist, misgontic and ableist is interesting to say the least.

So of course when the SulhasSpace issue happened some people ran with it as proof that the fandom is the problem. Now I've show you guys an racist account before in the last account of interest (burnbook Qsmp) So I'm not here to pretend it's not a problem, it absolutely is.

So yes I get where these are coming from to some degree but Twitter doesn't forgive or forget, and there's of course the fact that not ever "fan" is actually a fan.

That being said they are two sides to Qsmp twitter right now,

1)Chill fun time, drawing your faves.

2)your faves are problematic and if you don't push for them to be kick out your a terrible person.

A common discussion I see on the twitter is often, "oh you're defending your faves, you call out any creator but your faves" completely ingoring the fact that most the stuff their holding said faves accountable for are ages old.

They call us parasocial but then make post after post advocating for members to be removed from the SMP, it's making rounds, so I want to clear any misinformation on Twitter and make it clear when creators apologize.

You might remember them from the bonus section, this was posted jan 5 2024 with 1.3K likes (Jesus) so allow me to clear the air on some accusations.

In the reply of this they link a thread stating all problematic behaviors of creators, however MAJORITY of the this thread is just attacking the fan base I'm not even kidding.

Here's the thing, the bad apples aren't the fandom, it was this same behavior that had people attack dsmp fans.

Say what you want about Dream but you can acknowledge the dsmp fandom got so much hate for simply existing because a few of them were bad.

Because as someone who's been in both, and left both oddly who was previously a full on dream Stan and just sorta grew out of him. People hated us just for liking the dsmp.

They attacked minors in cosplay called us fatherless and cringe (and like yeah but still) overall make fun of Nurodiverst kids for having hyperfixations, and their justification was we're all terrible people.

Here's my thing, you don't actually care, you don't care about the alleged victims or the people who's lives are at risk; You want to make the fandom look bad.

You could have easily said "A person on twitter told another they hope the us gets bomb" and yeah I understand it was in the context of the Qsmp but people are not their interset, don't water people down to the things they like, then you're just making stereotypes.

How is it any different than saying, "a kpop stan did this, a furry did that,"

Also while I'm on this compersion of both I've noticed a constant conflict in regards to the Forever situation vs Dream situation with the parties on either side the other cc is guilty but theirs isn't.

I noticed this as soon as the accusations dropped actually a lot of people even here on Tumblr, where saying "this is what we deserved" and at "least dream didn't actually do it"

Tô be honest I noticed the fandom was at odds before that even, they were sudden talk here on Tumblr which means the topic likely came from Twitter of the dsmp compered to the Qsmp.

And I'll be honest dsmp was getting dragged, I read these thinking, 'why are we comparing them, they're clearly different with their own stories.' I still wonder that.

I don't want to fight with dream SMP fans, I use to be one of you , I had a freaking fan fic plan that was just c:! ranboo getting teleported into the Qsmp.

Why don't have to fight, but I guess with dream being unlikable, that makes things very hard.

Ok no, to both of these.

1) she was not the only woman on the server, Jaiden joined the server at the very beginning, so unless I miss an noticed that Jaiden actually used macs pronounces that's a fuckin lie.

You can see Jaiden right there behind Foolish, on the very first day. This isn't hard to confirm, it doesn't even take a second.

I read the tweet and immediately went, nah that's not true I remember Jaiden, And what do you know Jaiden was in fact a member at that time.

Non of the tweets that screenshot are misogynistic, it's just people who believe the dream accusations criticing her attendance to his concert.

The Wilbur situation. It’d fucking sickening to think about but when I see posts ranting I kinda have to and now it won’t leave.

Wilbur soot, since June or July of 2022, was such an inspiration to me. His acting, his music, what he was able to create through just a computer screen and a game where everything is shaped like a block. It was amazing.

I loved watching him and his interactions with people like Tommy, Phil, Techno (RIP 👑) and anyone else on the dsmp server or the osmp or anything else he had joined since.

I had loved his characters and the way things developed. His music could be something I blast in my headphones, something I could cry to, or something to just vibe to. Hell, his fucking band was my top artist last year for Spotify wrapped.

I’d cosplayed tallulah and taken pictures with Wilburs at a convention. More people he had impacted and sparked creativity in.

He was a part or daily life, honestly.

And that all came crashing down yesterday.

I got the news at school from a friend that enjoyed Wilbur’s content before everything. During lunch she said, “He basically admitted to the allegations.”

I needed to see it to fully comprehend it, but there it was later when I checked discord. A half-assed apology for the abuse allegations flooding in after Shelby’s stream. I was disgusted.

I watched Shelby’s vod of the stream next. Everything I heard clicked with what I read on the “apology.” It only deepened what I was feeling and what my friends were feeling.

10 fucking months Shelby took to recover from this relationship. And all she gets is “whoops I was an asshole but therapy!!”

Physical, emotional, and financial abuse. And we only have what she said on stream, apparently not even half of it.

She’s right to not accept his apology.

She deserves so much better and I am so happy fans are providing her support and showing just how proud they are that she was able to come out with this story.

I’ve seen many realizing that they are in or have been in relationships like this through Shelby. And though this should never be something that happens, being able to spread awareness, prevent these types of things from happening to other people, and shutting down an abuser is just. I’m glad at least a few good things came out of that horrid relationship.

My heart goes out to Shelby and any other victims.

This is not all I wanted to say but with the progression of this rant there’s nowhere to really put them.

The safe house was dimly lit, the flickering lights barely enough to illuminate the cramped room. Leon Kennedy shut the door behind him, his movements quick but careful. He scanned the room, ensuring it was secure before his eyes fell on Helena Harper, slumped on the tattered couch. Her face was pale, and her breathing uneven. Blood stained her torn uniform, and bruises marred her arms

"Helena..." Leon called softly, crossing the room in a few swift steps. He kneeled in front of her, gently touching her shoulder. Her eyes fluttered open, but there was a dazed, distant look in them. She was far from the capable agent he had fought alongside mere hours ago

"I’m fine.." she mumbled, but Leon knew better. It wasn’t the first time he’d seen her like this, retreating into herself, the harsh reality of their missions too much to bear. Helena had her own way of coping, and right now, she was retreating into a place where she could feel safe.

"No, you're not...you’re hurt" Leon said, his voice calm but firm. He brushed a strand of hair away from her face, careful not to touch the cuts on her cheek. She winced, her tough exterior crumbling as she looked at him with wide, childlike eyes. "It hurts, Leon" she whispered, her voice small. "I don’t like it...."

Leon’s heart ached at her words. He had seen Helena in action, strong, determined, fierce. But when the battles ended, she sometimes regressed to this state : vulnerable, needing comfort in a way she couldn’t usually express. And Leon, knowing her struggles, was there for her every time.

"I know, Helena. Let’s get you patched up, okay ?" He reached for the first aid kit, opening it with a practiced ease. He soaked a cloth in disinfectant, the strong scent filling the room

"This might sting a little.." he warned, gently pressing the cloth to her wound. Helena hissed, tears welling in her eyes as she pulled her knees up, making herself small. "Ow!" she murmured, tears threatening to spill

Leon paused, setting the cloth aside. He pulled her into a gentle embrace, careful not to touch her injuries. "Dada's got you," he said, his voice low and soothing. "You’re safe now, love. I won’t let anything else hurt you"

Helena clung to him, her fingers gripping his jacket like a lifeline. Leon stroked her back, murmuring soft reassurances until her breathing steadied. He took his time, dabbing at her wounds with a gentle hand, offering quiet comfort with every touch

"I’m sorry" Helena mumbled, her voice muffled against his shoulder. "I didn’t mean to… it just… happened". Leon pulled back slightly, meeting her eyes. "You don’t have to apologize" he said firmly. “You’re allowed to feel how you feel, sweetheart. You’ve been through horrible, Helena. You’re allowed to let go sometimes..."

Helena nodded, her eyes still shimmering with tears. Leon wrapped a blanket around her, tucking it in carefully. "Let’s get some rest. We’ll figure everything out tomorrow"

Helena snuggled into the blanket, her expression softening as she allowed herself to relax, comforted by Leon’s presence. He stayed by her side, keeping watch, ready to be her protector, her friend, and her caregiver in the darkest moments. Tonight, in the quiet of the safe house, he wasn’t the agent or the hero, just Leon, the person who cared about her more than words could express. And that, for now, was enough.
