To support climate action we must protect the whales.
I’m always asked which area of marine I would like to go into for a career,
the answer is always and will always be cetacean behaviour and conservation.
Why?
Cetaceans, particularly the great whales, bring stability to our ever-changing climate.
When whales dive into the depths of the ocean, they then return to the surface water to breathe. Upon returning to the surface, whales release enormous faecal plumes, containing limiting but essential nutrients that stimulate the growth of phytoplankton.
Phytoplankton, an organism forming the basis of all, marine food, is essential for life on Earth. These microscopic organisms act as carbon fixers by sequestration carbon from the atmosphere to be utilised in their bodily structures. Reducing the number of phytoplankton is undeniably going to cause higher quantities of greenhouse gas emissions remaining in the atmosphere and as a result warming the climate.
Whales' defecation acts as a natural fertiliser in our oceans and is essential in the growth of phytoplankton thus combatting climate change.
Without whales, phytoplankton numbers will reduce meaning greenhouse gas emissions are no longer removed from the atmosphere through these carbon fixers. This creates an increasingly warmer climate, one uninhabitable and one that will impact ALL life on Earth.
Our future lies in our oceans, particularly baleen whales who store astonishing amounts of carbon throughout their 100-year lives. Even when these individuals die, the carbon remains locked in the dead body for centuries to come.
Whales face many threats.
Whaling and climate change are impacting their populations the most.
We must protect whale populations from the threats we have caused
Not only will it benefit whales, but it will benefit all marine life, terrestrial life and even us, humans.
Whales are not only incredible species but a natural solution to climate change one that deserves to be protected.

I think it’s funny how much change and development I’ve made to the plot storyline in my head that I’ve been documenting for almost 3 years now. When I first came up with the concept there was going to be like magic and angels and faeries and a whole bunch of world building shit that did NOT fit together at all and made no sense. But now instead it’s a bunch of situations that are exactly as outlandish as the fantasy genre because of how fucked up they are. Nobody makes healthy or normal decisions.
#The characters who used to be angels got changed into just being med school college students#And instead of magic there’s more medical malpractice now#Well there was originally already some medical malpractice but now there’s just a whole lot more#The only real “fantasy” element I have now is like ghosts and reanimation of the dead#Which is significantly less high-fantasy than the initial idea of the “angel realm” or the rest of the shit I had planned#I like it better this way#I didn’t know how to shift the vampire characters into not being fantasy anymore since it didn’t fit but I came up with a solution#They’re just reanimated dead people who have most of the same qualities as a vampire but that’s just the side effects of being revived#And the “necromancers” that I initially wanted to write about are just people who bring corpses back to life using science#But they scam people and lie to them by marketing it as magic

This book right here is not only life changing for the better… it is life extending and even life saving in some cases. I’m so grateful my integrative MD recommended it to me. (I’m more than half way through in 3 days.) She runs a cancer center in a major hospital in the Bay Area helping people address the causes of their diseases with science-based natural medicine.
I consider this book a preventative for most people, but for some it may lead to that “miracle” they’ve been praying for. It not only helps understand the causes of many “incurable” diseases and chronic undesirable conditions increasing in recent years, but also how to eliminate them in as little as 2 weeks. The full protocol spelled out in the book is 9 weeks. If you don’t care for all the science you can skip those parts and simply implement what is suggested. It’s especially helpful for overcoming diabetes, obesity, asthma, allergies, and autoimmunity.
This book has helped me understand why eating healthy and exercising may not be enough for at least 50% of the population. It’s got me considering getting a Master of Science in Integrative Nutrition. This information has been a missing link in my understanding of creating and maintaining health, especially when concerning organic causes. I hope that one day soon the AMA will be more supportive of the findings presented in this book.

#it was going strong#i liked the concept of the last witch in the world#being used to fight in a clearly wwII inspired war#and it was going good#a solid 7/10 show#until the reveal that the white witch was cloned with science yet somehow retains all her previous life's memories and feelings?#I'm sorry#in a world where the science is grounded like ours#that just comes off as so stupid#and a simple solution would have been either a magical stasis#or that the Germanians figured out a weird magic/science fusion of cloning#because they do eventually do magic/science fusion tech#but nope just regular clones#that miraculously develop in less time than a regular human can grow up#which is a shame cause Izetta: the last witch stuck its landing with the ending#although to be fair that ending would have been very hard to not stick providing they kept both girls alive#(otherwise it would just give off big byg trope vibes)#but they tripped hard at that plot point about cloning#and dropped down to a 5/10
