Primary them. rum for local office and make the state dems take notice. protest and get in the way of centrist dems. This is theater until its truth, theyre just cowering before the right wing media and we have the ability to infiltrate and beat on them from the outside. We have to do it. Fuck centrism, affordable housing and housing the homeless. Fuck centrism more jobs with better pay. Fuck centrism part of those new jobs are training programs for green energy jobs. Fuck centrism it got us here but its what the national and top state dems will keep saying until we corner them from inside and outside like right wingers did the "just move things slowly to the right" republicans

PSA: never discuss private affairs in your DMs, especially contraception and abortion. Social media moguls will absolutely sell you out to the government. There are already cases of people being charged based on evidence in their DMs.

Skip Google for Research
As Google has worked to overtake the internet, its search algorithm has not just gotten worse. It has been designed to prioritize advertisers and popular pages often times excluding pages and content that better matches your search terms
As a writer in need of information for my stories, I find this unacceptable. As a proponent of availability of information so the populace can actually educate itself, it is unforgivable.
Below is a concise list of useful research sites compiled by Edward Clark over on Facebook. I was familiar with some, but not all of these.
⁂
Google is so powerful that it “hides” other search systems from us. We just don’t know the existence of most of them. Meanwhile, there are still a huge number of excellent searchers in the world who specialize in books, science, other smart information. Keep a list of sites you never heard of.
www.refseek.com - Academic Resource Search. More than a billion sources: encyclopedia, monographies, magazines.
www.worldcat.org - a search for the contents of 20 thousand worldwide libraries. Find out where lies the nearest rare book you need.
https://link.springer.com - access to more than 10 million scientific documents: books, articles, research protocols.
www.bioline.org.br is a library of scientific bioscience journals published in developing countries.
http://repec.org - volunteers from 102 countries have collected almost 4 million publications on economics and related science.
www.science.gov is an American state search engine on 2200+ scientific sites. More than 200 million articles are indexed.
www.pdfdrive.com is the largest website for free download of books in PDF format. Claiming over 225 million names.
www.base-search.net is one of the most powerful researches on academic studies texts. More than 100 million scientific documents, 70% of them are free

#for the record this is why equating republicans to democrats is crazy#theres no chance of conscience with the republicans#whereas depending on the Dem theres a lot of chance#Let alone that theres a lot of work before votes can be cast#got to remember that to get government programs and good laws and bad laws disbanded you aint on a team#its never a team sport#youre trying to position the weaker antagonist to whom protests and sit ins and forms of direct action and shame would reach#politics#shouting in the void

Trump got absolutely dumpstered in court in the last few days.
His and Elon's program to pay people to retire early has been halted by a temporary restraining order issued by District Judge George A. O’Toole Jr. of the US District Court, District of Massachusetts in American Federation of Government Employees et al v. Charles Ezell (acting Acting Director of the Office of Personnel Management). This temporary order only lasts until they have a hearing on Monday to determine whether this program is constitutional.
13 state attorneys general sued to prevent Elon from accessing personal data about government employees and citizen clients of their agencies, leading to Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly in the case Alliance for Retired Americans v. Scott Bessent (Trump's Secretary of the Treasury) ordering the Department of Justice to ensure no unauthorized persons, including Elon and his team, have access to the Labor Department's database of information on tax filings, employment, and the like.
Two separate judges have ruled that Trump's executive order trying to eliminate birthright citizenship under the 14th Amendment is unconstitutional. U.S. District Judge John Coughenour of the western Washington district, a REAGAN appointee (!), said, "It has become ever more apparent that to our president the rule of law is but an impediment to his policy goals. The rule of law is, according to him, something to navigate around or simply ignore, whether that be for political or personal gain." The other judge, US District Judge Deborah Boardman of Maryland, ruled that the executive order cannot be implemented until she has had a chance to rule on the merits of the case.
US District Court Judge Royce C. Lamberth in DC paused Trump’s restrictions on transgender women being incarcerated in women’s prisons and federal prisons providing gender-affirming medical treatment, after inmates (!) sued to block the policy.
US District Judge Loren L. Alikhan of DC broadly blocked the Trump administration’s memo halting almost all federal assistance.
That's six rulings scrapping five of Trump's major policy operations in the past four days (Feb 3rd through the 6th, 2025).
That's news worth celebrating!

Most people who vote for the Leopards Eating Faces Party do so because they think it won't be their face being eaten.
But Caitlyn Jenner has been told countless times that it is her face that is going to be eaten, and she still votes for the Leopards Eating Faces Party.
How did Trump manage to convince so many people to cheer on their own persecution?

did u kno that president Lyndon B. Johnson set up a commission on obscenity in pornography in 1969? (nice) The supreme court had just ruled that people could view whatever content they wanted in the privacy of their homes, and the country was in a moral panic over it. (Stanley v. Georgia) The commission was comprised of a wide array of scientists, who performed extensive randomized surveys of the country…and commissioned Berl Kutchinsky to study the legalization of hardcore pornography in Denmark. His report was titled Studies on Pornography and Sex Crimes in Denmark (1970). Kutchinsky’s findings showed that increased availability of pornography had not led to an increase in sexual violence. He found that the incidence of certain sex crimes had in fact fallen, including rates of child sexual abuse in Denmark. As a result, the presidential commission published it’s report which recommended sex education, further funding into research on the effects of pornography, and we as restrictions on pornography access to minors…with free access for adults. The report also found: -That there was “no evidence to date that exposure to explicit sexual materials plays a significant role in the causation of delinquent or criminal behavior among youths or adults.” -That “a majority of American adults believe that adults should be allowed to read or see any sexual materials they wish.” -That “there is no reason to suppose that elimination of governmental prohibitions upon the sexual materials which may be made available to adults would adversely affect the availability to the public of other books, magazines, or films.” -That there was no “evidence that exposure to explicit sexual materials adversely affects character or moral attitudes regarding sex and sexual conduct.” The report was met with disgust from congress, who denied the research results. Nixon, who had become president by the time the report was released, also rejected it. When Reagan took office, he appointed his own commission in 1984, headed by his own attorney general. Reagan’s commission released their own report in 1986 that claimed that there was a causal relationship between pornography and delinquency. Who did this research? No one did. The commission did not have any scientists.
#We’ve had the answers#Any one claiming for anti trans anti porn anti education whatever that they’re just asking questions#Tell them we’ve had the answers for decades#And conservatives and media ignore them#shouting in the void

I never watched BBC Sherlock or engaged in the fandom and being into original Sherlock Holmes in the year 2024 feels like frolicking in a meadow that’s grown up over a battlefield. Occasionally a war weary veteran with shadows in their eyes will find me. “Don’t you know what happened in this place?” they ask me. “I literally don’t,” I reply, and go back to drawing guys from 1895.
