I have been invited to speak at the Healing Strong cancer support group next Thursday, April 25th at 7pm MST. This is an open invitation to anyone wanting to learn how to harness the power of nutrition and holistic therapies in the fight against cancer, regardless of whether or not you choose to use conventional treatment. Nutrition is our first, most powerful medicine and it’s administered three times a day. We improve symptoms and our chances of healing when we provide our body with the support it needs. Some of the things you will learn in this webinar....
1. Leveraging fasting (autophagy) and detoxing to encourage cell repair.
2. The power of juicing to provide cells with essential nutrients and to oxygenate the body.
3. Nutrition to alkalize the body and support its powerful healing mechanisms.
4. Holistic therapies that can help reduce inflammation and encourage quicker recovery and healing.
I am also thrilled to announce that I will have a special guest and courageous cancer survivor join me who has healed by implementing the nutrition, therapies, and methods that will be discussed. I cannot wait for you to hear her powerful story of inspiration and hope. To everyone else, she goes by Patti. To me, she is Mom. Since this is a topic close to my heart, there is no cost. Simply go here to register: https://events.theholisticchef.com/cancerwebinar
All the love, health & healing. 💚

Hey everyone! I've been a little quiet on the blog as we ramp up events back on the discord server! If you're not in it, just find me, same username! While I'm still slow to get back to articles and such, here's a new thing we did: I now have a youtube channel! Some of our meetings will be recorded and posted here with a transcript. Slowly I plan to evolve how I can reach people with this knowledge and my perspective. Also, I wanted to say that while I absolutely have loved doing this as a volunteer, I'll need to provide some way for people to support me, should they choose to! This might look like being able to tip me here on Tumblr, or pay for tickets to events and lectures I may host in the future!

This book right here is not only life changing for the better… it is life extending and even life saving in some cases. I’m so grateful my integrative MD recommended it to me. (I’m more than half way through in 3 days.) She runs a cancer center in a major hospital in the Bay Area helping people address the causes of their diseases with science-based natural medicine.
I consider this book a preventative for most people, but for some it may lead to that “miracle” they’ve been praying for. It not only helps understand the causes of many “incurable” diseases and chronic undesirable conditions increasing in recent years, but also how to eliminate them in as little as 2 weeks. The full protocol spelled out in the book is 9 weeks. If you don’t care for all the science you can skip those parts and simply implement what is suggested. It’s especially helpful for overcoming diabetes, obesity, asthma, allergies, and autoimmunity.
This book has helped me understand why eating healthy and exercising may not be enough for at least 50% of the population. It’s got me considering getting a Master of Science in Integrative Nutrition. This information has been a missing link in my understanding of creating and maintaining health, especially when concerning organic causes. I hope that one day soon the AMA will be more supportive of the findings presented in this book.

Dang. It's August.
So what did we do in July?
Fourth of July, of course.
Anything else?
Sure. Any reportage of what we did in recent months would be solidly incomplete without mentioning Kimmer's doctoral work, without talking about tetris-ing her pursuit of Doctor of Science in Integrative Health with her work life and her personal life.
So yeah. Doctor.
Doctor Kimmer.
It's a big swing for the fence for sure. And it's challenging work. Relentlessly challenging work. Which is why the pursuit has to be tetris'd into her life in progress. Her professional life in progress. Her personal life in progress. Because there's research to conduct. There's always research to conduct. There are papers to write. There are always papers to write. There are tests, class discussions, meetings with professors. Always, always, and always.
And up ahead?
Her dissertation.
On which she's already devoted plenty of strategic thought and conversation.
So yeah.
Relentless. Is the word.
Ongoing.
Never-ending.
Perpetual.
😳🤯
----------------------
Whatever we did in July, aside from the fourth, Kimmer's doctorate pursuit was always hummin' along in the background and...
In the foreground.
As for me, July was a month of interesting conversations and considerations on a much smaller scale. The smallest of these was with a gentleman, a video engineer who's worked with just about everyone I know going back to the start of my career. I never worked with him directly but he's one of the people responsible for my connection to reality.
Huh?
Well, the human visual system has a way of adjusting the colors we perceive in the world around us. It defines "white" for example under a number of divergent conditions and adjust every other color accordingly. In addition to that, the monitors editors use to look at footage are subject to drift. They can lean a little blue. They can lean a little magenta. They can lean a little yellow. And our eyes adjust to that. So it's up to video engineers to make sure that the colors we're seeing are actually the colors we're seeing. It's up to them, as I told my boss, to make sure we're looking at reality. To assure our confidence that we're seeing the colors we believe we're seeing.
To validate our reality in the edit suite.
Which is an interesting conversation once you start contemplating how we validate our reality outside the edit suite.
🤔🤨
----------------------
Had to get a new laptop in July which always leads to more interesting conversations and considerations. After all, we've had a long history with tech going back to the first years of our marriage. It's astounding, in fact, how literally much we paid for certain tech that's so incredibly lacking by today's standards yet, at the time, it was state of the art.
So.
It's always with trepidation that we consider brand new tech especially when a lot of the time second hand or refurbished does the trick. In this case, however, it had to be brand new and it had to manage specific tasks no sweat. And the price, of course, had to be just so.
So it was a lot of research... a lot of conversation... a lot of research... a lot of conversation... and so on.
Until I actually chose the right one.
Go figure.
😁🤩
----------------------
July 4, I spent a little time reflecting on whatever this is that we are.
Americans.
I wrote about it here:
And I continue to reflect on what it is specifically I enjoy about the people around me, the strangers with whom I randomly share time and space, the vast cast of characters with whom I experience this life.
There's plenty to gnash our teeth over, of course. I just find it personally helpful to reflect each day on what I love about this land we call Home and what I love best about the people with whom I share it.
----------------------
July 5 is our dating anniversary. Yes, it was actually memorable enough to remember.
So we remember it every year and celebrate.
This year's celebration involves Despicable Me 4 at The Crest Theater in Shoreline followed by a late lunch out on the patio at Las Brisas under a lovely sun shining down on Edmonds.
❤️❤️❤️
----------------------
July 12-14 was the return of the Combat Wombats production team to the Seattle 48 Hour Film Project competition with our entry, "Killer Content", a film we describe with the line "A social influencer will generate the biggest following, even if it kills her." 😁😁😁
Our effort is the product of our team's refusal to choose either of the two genres that were drawn on kick-off night: Social Media/Influencer and Thriller/Suspense. So the choice was made to tell the story of a social media influencer who tries to goose her subscription numbers by hiring someone to spend one night trying to kill her in a deserted theater. This being a Combat Wombats film, of course there was a magnificent twist at the end, probably the biggest laugh we ever crafted into one of our films.
The final tally of edit hours for me this time around was Saturday 330pm to Sunday 445am... then 9am Sunday to 6pm that evening.
Twenty two and a quarter hours across two days.
No sweat.
🤔😉
----------------------
July was another month Kimmer flew down to Irvine to hang out with family. A genuine pleasure to watch her nephew grow up and to hang out with her cousin who's often mistaken for her brother.
Family resemblance?
Nope.
They just give each other that kind of a hard time in public.
🤣🤣🤣
----------------------
End of July, our chosen grandkids ('cause we're their chosen whatevers) mailed us their latest professional photos. The eldest, Noah, signed it on behalf of he and his sister as follows:
For fairy godfather Dave and fairy Godmother Kimmer.
Good grief. that kid!
😁☺️
----------------------
Pretty much last week of the month featured the world premiere of our Seattle 48 Hour Film Project entry, "Killer Content", at the SIFF Cinema Uptown on Lower Queen Anne. There were a bunch of magnificent entries plus one that really hit me hard with how the team dealt with a certain adversity that's possible for any of us in production. I actually got the chance to speak with the director of that effort and really appreciated the opportunity to spend the night with a bunch of people who get it. Who get why we do what we do. How we do what we do. And all the stories that accumulate when you're busy living that life.
The end of that week bore witness to Linzy's Dream Patrol experience, the second one ever, at Chop Suey, south Capitol Hill on E. Madison. These performances are exciting as Linzy iterates each experience toward what it'll eventually be. Right now it's figuring out the songs and their sequencing. That's just the first step, though, as Linzy reaches for something both engaging and unique.
🤔🤨🤯
----------------------
The month ended much the same way it began, with Kimmer's relentless doctoral pursuit, the work it entails, and the tetris-ing of, well, everything it demands.
It's technically not a show...
But it is a helluva thing to watch.
🤯🤨🤔
Onward!
🙂

Software Platform for Analise of Data in The Field of Waste Management_ Crimson Publishers
Software Platform for Analise of Data in The Field of Waste Management by Hiroshi Bando In Integrative Journal of Conference Proceedings
Abstract
This system will create activity in the waste market, which will involve processors. For this purpose, the research of thermal conductivity of RDF-raw materials of waste landfills in the laboratory of quality control of new functional materials GUAP and programming in Java Script virtual platform ECO 365.The global perspective of the project is the consolidation of the laboratory of new composite materials GUAP to create a waste processing Center with the main focus on research in the field of production and sale of biogas. Demand in the market is large. The used technologies of analytical and measuring instruments and programs of three-dimensional equipment will allow to apply in parallel with the analysis of raw materials the possibility of developing equipment to produce by-products from waste with their subsequent certification. The main goal pursued when working in JavaScript [1,2] is to get closer to a successfully working prototype in the Russian food market the agro 24 platform, which implements the principle of a catalyst for the movement of perishable products. ECO-365 program-analogue in the field of storage, processing and sale of waste [1-3].

youtube shorts is just tiktok without being on the app the amount of "i'm a [qualification] and [misinformation]" could make one turn their skin inside-out in protest. "i'm a board-certified OB-GYN & it's only been about the last hundred years that women have actually experienced menopause. We didn't live long enough to experience it" how can you be so incredibly wrong about something so integral to your practice. King of the Hittites Hattusilis III was told in 1250 BCE that his sister was too old to reproduce at age 50+. Aristotle wrote in the 4th century BCE that women stopped menstruating between ages 40 to 50, common menopause ages today still. i cannot begin to tell you how 4th century & 1250 BCE don't really count as "the last hundred years" unless that -s is doing a lot of heavy lifting. waiter waiter more misinformation laws.
#do they just be making anybody an ob-gyn these days.#what ''board'' is certifying this. your car's dashboard?#life expectancy for the past millennia was heavily skewed down because surviving infancy was Not Easy#but if you made it past that you could live to your 50s if not later.#we have multiple hypotheses about PREHISTORIC WOMEN'S menopause and how post-reproductive life in humans could have been an#integral part of the life of the tribe with help with child-rearing; gathering; hunting; medicine. like hello.#prehistoric menopausal women GET BEHIND ME [wolf growling]#neigh (blabbers)#sorry. i'm insane. gyno health and everything about periods & menopause is already so little understood & the wider medical body kinda#dgaf about if you keel out in pain from preventable menstrual diseases so if i catch anyone spreading misinformation. i'm going beastmode.
