ok im mad bc I tried tapering off the berberine and nothing really seemed to change immediately but like a week after i was off it completely (this week) i got WILDLY depressed to the point where i was like damn boy WHAT is going on and also was experiencing waking up/falling asleep tremors and needing to sleep more (both symptoms ive come to associate with b vitamin deficiency which is weird bc i have been taking those supplements faithfully) and I remembered that I had changed the berberine dosage and so I took 500mg of berberine last night and I feel noticably more normal and did not experience the b vitamin problems.
guess: the berberine is affecting gut absorption of vitamins and the bacterial production of neurotransmitters
also: WHAT the fuck that's... how is it doing that??? I know its supposed to kill some bacteria and allow others to thrive but like. that. that is just wild. what EXACTLY is it doing???
obvs. i need to continue testing to see if I continue to improve but like. okay fine. i'll keep taking the berberine.

Is Functional Medicine the Right Approach for You?
Is Functional Medicine the Right Approach for You?
Functional medicine is a personalized approach to healthcare that focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes1 of illness. Unlike traditional medicine, which often treats symptoms with medications, functional medicine takes a more comprehensive view of the body, considering the interconnectedness of various systems and the impact of environmental factors, genetics, and lifestyle on overall health.
When to Consider Functional Medicine
If you're struggling with chronic health conditions that haven't responded well to traditional treatments, functional medicine may be a viable option. Here are some common scenarios where functional medicine can be particularly beneficial:
Chronic Illnesses: If you're dealing with conditions like autoimmune diseases, digestive disorders, hormonal imbalances, or chronic fatigue syndrome, functional medicine can help identify and address the underlying factors contributing to these issues.
Complex Health Issues: If you have multiple health concerns that seem unrelated, functional medicine can help uncover the underlying connections and develop a comprehensive treatment plan.
Preventive Healthcare: If you're proactive about your health and want to prevent future illnesses, functional medicine can help identify potential risk factors and develop strategies to optimize your well-being.
Dissatisfaction with Traditional Medicine: If you've tried traditional treatments without success or are seeking a more holistic approach to healthcare, functional medicine may be a good fit.
How to Find a Qualified Functional Medicine Practitioner
When seeking a Best Holistic Doctor In Charlotte Nc to guide you on your functional medicine journey, it's essential to find a qualified and experienced practitioner. Here are some tips to help you find the right fit:
Look for Board Certification: Look for practitioners who are board-certified in functional medicine or have completed advanced training in this field.
Check Credentials: Verify the practitioner's credentials and experience, including their education and training.
Read Reviews and Testimonials: Research the practitioner's reputation by reading online reviews and testimonials from past patients.
Schedule a Consultation: Schedule a consultation to discuss your health concerns and determine if functional medicine is the right approach for you.
What to Expect from a Functional Medicine Consultation
A functional medicine consultation typically involves a comprehensive assessment of your health history, lifestyle, and genetic factors. Your practitioner may also recommend laboratory tests to identify underlying imbalances or deficiencies.
Based on the information gathered, your practitioner will develop a personalized treatment plan that may include:
Dietary Changes: Modifying your diet to support optimal health and address specific nutritional deficiencies.
Lifestyle Modifications: Implementing lifestyle changes such as regular exercise, stress management techniques, and adequate sleep.
Supplements: Using targeted supplements to address specific nutrient deficiencies or imbalances.
Medications: In some cases, medications may be used in conjunction with other therapies.
Is Functional Medicine Right for You?
Functional medicine offers a personalized and holistic approach to healthcare that can be beneficial for many people. If you're seeking a more comprehensive and effective approach to managing your health, consider consulting with a qualified best holistic doctor In Charlotte Nc to explore the possibilities of functional medicine.

The Oxidized Cholesterol Strategy: A Deep Dive into Reversing Heart Disease

Hey there, Tumblr fam!
Today, I want to share a revolutionary program that's changing the game for heart disease: The Oxidized Cholesterol Strategy. This isn't your average cholesterol-lowering approach; it tackles the root cause of heart problems: oxidized cholesterol.
What's the big deal about oxidized cholesterol?
Unlike regular LDL (bad cholesterol), oxidized cholesterol is the real villain in plaque buildup, leading to heart attacks and strokes. This program goes beyond just lowering numbers; it focuses on reducing oxidized cholesterol and promoting its removal from your body.
So, how does it work?
The Oxidized Cholesterol Strategy rests on four pillars:
Diet: Ditch those oxidized fat sources like vegetable oils and processed foods. Embrace healthy fats like olive oil, butter, and coconut oil instead.
Lifestyle: Get moving! Regular exercise, stress management, and good sleep are key to optimizing cholesterol and boosting your heart health.
Monitoring: Track your progress with cholesterol level monitoring and plaque buildup assessments. This allows for personalized adjustments and ensures you're on the right track.
Holistic Approach: It's not just about cholesterol. This program promotes healthy blood pressure, blood sugar, and weight management for long-term well-being.
Science-backed and success-driven!
This isn't just talk; the Oxidized Cholesterol Strategy is backed by extensive scientific research. And the results speak for themselves! People are experiencing:
Complete reversal of plaque buildup
Drastic reductions in cholesterol levels
Increased energy and mental clarity
Enhanced appearance and overall well-being
Ready to take control of your heart health?

The more I learn, the further and further I move away from conventional medicine. I donât even pay for health insurance any more because the truth is that most of the time, the best doctors canât accept it anyway because insurance companies wonât approve of their âoff-labelâ methods.
If you have access and the financial means to, one of the best things you can do for yourself is to find a functional medicine doctor. Dentist too. The difference in quality of care is immediately blatant.
Iâve learned so much in the last few years that have deeply and irrevocably changed the way I view medicine. At this point, Iâve almost completely given up on allopathic medicine after a lifetime of witnessing it repeatedly fail so many others, including people I hold dearest to me.
Iâve said it before, and Iâll say it again: NO ONE in the world is going to care about you or your family as much as you do. It is the responsibility of each and every one of us to openly seek out answers ourselves, to advocate for each other, and to be able to recognize when we are being swindled by an industry that really exists to profit from our suffering.
And just learn about plants, man. Plant medicines (including and beyond the psychedelic versions) are the answer to possibly everything.
The answers are out there, and Iâm learning every day.

The Protein Predicament: Animal, Plant, or Both?
By Dr. David B. Clark DABCI, NMD, DC Â
The importance of protein in our diet is a well-accepted fact. Itâs crucial for growth, cellular repair, and immune function. However, as much as health experts agree on the necessity of protein, the âhow muchâ and âwhat kindâ of protein are points of disagreement. Should we get our protein solely from plants, animals, or a combination of both? How much protein is ideal?

Understanding Protein
Protein is a macronutrient made up of smaller units known as amino acids. These amino acids are categorized as essential (cannot be synthesized by the body) and non-essential (can be synthesized by the body). The primary point of divergence between animal and plant proteins lies in their amino acid profiles and other associated nutrients.
Animal Protein
Animal-source proteins, including meat, poultry, fish, eggs, and dairy foods, are often referred to as complete proteins. This means they contain all essential amino acids in sufficient quantities. Moreover, they are rich in essential nutrients like vitamin B12, iron, zinc, and omega-3 fatty acids.
Plant Protein
Plant proteins, derived from legumes, grains, nuts, and seeds, are generally not considered complete proteins because they lack one or more essential amino acids. However, by combining different sources of plant protein, you can still obtain a complete amino acid profile. Additionally, plant proteins are rich in fiber, antioxidants, and are generally lower in saturated fats.
Digestibility
Itâs true that plant proteins typically require more effort to be completely digested compared to animal proteins. This is due to the presence of certain anti-nutrients like phytates and oxalates that can inhibit absorption. However, cooking, fermenting, or sprouting plant foods can significantly improve nutrient availability.
Nutritional Requirements
The average adult should consume between 3 to 4 ounces (approximately 80 to 110 grams) of protein daily. For pregnant or nursing women and individuals over 65, the higher end of this scale is recommended. Around one-third of your daily caloric intake should ideally come from protein sources, whether animal-based, plant-based, or a mix of both.
Ethical and Environmental Considerations
Beyond the nutritional aspects, many people consider the ethical and environmental implications of their protein choices. Animal farming often has a more significant environmental impact in terms of land use, water consumption, and greenhouse gas emissions. On the other hand, a diet overly reliant on monocrops like soy can also pose sustainability challenges.
Whether animal or plant protein is better for you can depend on numerous factors such as lifestyle, pre-existing health conditions, ethical beliefs, and nutritional needs. There is no one-size-fits-all answer.
At Health+Plus Clinic, we recommend a balanced approach to diet and nutrition, focusing on whole, unprocessed foods. If you have specific dietary concerns or health conditions, consulting with a healthcare provider for personalized guidance is always the best course of action.

11 Ways to Completely Sabotage Your PCOS texas
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a common hormonal disorder affecting 1 in 10 women of reproductive age. In Texas, where lifestyle factors like diet, stress, and access to healthcare can vary widely, managing PCOS can be particularly challenging. Unfortunately, many women unknowingly sabotage their health with habits that worsen their symptoms. In this blog, weâll explore 11 ways you might be sabotaging your PCOS journey and provide practical solutions to help you take control of your health.
1. Ignoring Your Diet
One of the biggest mistakes women with PCOS make is ignoring their diet. Processed foods, sugary snacks, and refined carbs can spike insulin levels, worsening PCOS symptoms like weight gain and irregular periods.
Solution: Focus on a low-glycemic, anti-inflammatory diet. Include whole foods like lean proteins, healthy fats, and fiber-rich vegetables. Texas is home to fresh, local produceâtake advantage of it!
2. Skipping Regular Exercise
A sedentary lifestyle can exacerbate PCOS symptoms by increasing insulin resistance and weight gain.
Solution: Incorporate regular exercise into your routine. Activities like yoga, walking, or strength training can improve insulin sensitivity and help manage weight. Many Texas cities offer outdoor fitness classes and trailsâget moving!
3. Not Managing Stress
Chronic stress can wreak havoc on your hormones, making PCOS symptoms worse.
Solution: Practice stress management techniques like meditation, deep breathing, or journaling. Texas has plenty of serene spots for relaxation, from parks to lakeside retreats.
4. Overlooking Sleep Quality
Poor sleep can disrupt hormone balance and worsen PCOS symptoms like fatigue and mood swings.
Solution: Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep each night. Create a bedtime routine, limit screen time, and keep your bedroom cool and dark.
5. Avoiding Medical Help
Many women with PCOS delay seeking medical help, thinking their symptoms are ânormal.â
Solution: Consult a PCOS specialist in Texas. Regular check-ups, blood tests, and personalized treatment plans can make a world of difference.
6. Relying Solely on Medication
While medication can help, relying on it without addressing lifestyle factors is a missed opportunity.
Solution: Combine medication with lifestyle changes like diet, exercise, and stress management for the best results.
7. Ignoring Mental Health
PCOS can take a toll on mental health, leading to anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem.
Solution: Seek therapy or counseling if needed. Texas has many mental health resources and support groups for women with PCOS.
8. Not Tracking Your Symptoms
Failing to track your symptoms can make it harder to identify triggers and measure progress.
Solution: Keep a symptom journal to monitor your menstrual cycle, mood, energy levels, and other PCOS-related issues.
9. Overdoing Supplements
While supplements can help, taking too many or the wrong ones can do more harm than good.
Solution: Consult a healthcare provider before starting any supplements. Common PCOS-friendly options include inositol, vitamin D, and omega-3s.
10. Comparing Yourself to Others
Every womanâs PCOS journey is unique. Comparing yourself to others can lead to frustration and self-doubt.
Solution: Focus on your progress and celebrate small victories. Surround yourself with supportive communities, both online and in Texas.
11. Giving Up Too Soon
Managing PCOS is a marathon, not a sprint. Giving up too soon can prevent you from seeing long-term results.
Solution: Stay consistent and patient. Celebrate small wins and remind yourself that progress takes time.
Conclusion
Managing PCOS in Texas doesnât have to be overwhelming. By avoiding these 11 common mistakes, you can take control of your health and thrive despite PCOS. Remember, small changes can lead to big results. Whether itâs adjusting your diet, seeking medical help, or prioritizing self-care, every step counts. Donât let PCOS sabotage your lifeâtake charge today!

I need guidance and real guidance. I've let too much pile up with my health. I don't know why my body won't stop. I took into account my environment, and what i started to was new.
1st. My body started with muscle contractions.
2nd. Eye floaters
3rd. Auras
4. Muscle Contraction
5. Very Dry Arm Skin
The house had a leak upon arrival that they fixed, but it had been fixed previously. The allergist said I wasn't allergic to mold. The water lines are made of copper. My cat sleeps in my room.
