Been a good ass decent months since I last wrote fanfic, it's about time I let myself indulge in what used to make me so happy :))). The reader is gender neutral, it's all fluff, need me some more of that. This could be read platonic or romantic! I wrote this like, late at night so there's definitely errors but that's okay 💛. Wanna get into writing more, and better write his dialogue because I feel like it's lacking.

"I'm gonna jump off a plane."

"..did you want me to arrange that for you..? I don't think we need to go to such extremes for.." Caleb trails off, tearing his eyes away from the model he was building by your desk, leaning up to see the papers you had in front of you. " For math. Huh—maybe you do need that plane after al—ow ow ow!"

He winces through a laugh, loosely grabbing your wrist, "Hey! I was kidding!"

You let go of his ear with a huff, "Well I'm not! If I don't pass this test I'm gonna go down from a C to a D!" Your frown deepens, rubbing your eyes. The dark circles under your eyes, puffy and an irritated red with salty tracks carved into your skin, a testament to the sleepless nights you've had trying to cram everything. 

Nothing ever came easy to you, school wise at least. It was hard to focus, find any motivation. You just struggled to see the point for it all, you were at your wits end! Fingers fisted in your hair—you lean forward, a light thud on the surface of your desk from your forehead as you let out a heavy breath, delicate like glass, "I'm gonna fail.."

"Whoa, hey now, you've still got time to study, Pip-squeak. You're not a quitter, are you?" Caleb muses gently, rising to his feet. Lifting your head up, he carefully slides your notes from under you. He smiles at your pout, before placing your head back down on your desk with your notebook in hand. He opens it, flipping through the content, "Tell me, what's got you stuck?"

"All of it."

"All of it?"

"We can't all be blessed with wrinkly brains like yours, Caleb," you side-eye him, glaring at the easy expression on his face.

"Maybe, but I'm just trying to figure out where we can start to make it less overwhelming for you," he pats your head, undeterred by your little 'tude. "We'll take it one by one then, starting with chapter one."

"I don't wanna do any of this right now."

He closes your notebook, crouching beside you, "We can pick this up again later, then."

You purse your lips together, "...I don't wanna do this anymore today."

Chuckling, the sound light and airy, lifting the weight you felt heavy in your chest as he held out his hand for you to take, "Then how about we go for a walk?"

You look at his hands, calloused, warm. You take it without a word, and he pulls you in, slinging his arm over your shoulder, snickering at your grumbled protest.

I thought I’d prepare tea, so I boiled some water. Would you like some?

[You suggest getting the tea for him.]

No, I’ll pour it for you. I have only just cleaned the kitchen, after all. I would like to have it as tidy as possible before we leave.

[Ruki walks to the counter.]

It’s not as if I’m particularly quick to get ready. The four of you are slow. You always take way too long, even though your routine is the same every day. It’s only school. There is no need for such lengthy preparations.

[You tell Ruki he does much more before class than you do.]

Well, that’s true. I have many things to do, but none of them are major tasks. When you make a habit out of cooking and cleaning, you get the hang of it quickly, and it all goes smoothly before you know it. Even if I actually were to be burdened with more tasks, I would still be done before you guys.

[You ask him why he thinks that.]

It must be because I’m skilled in time management. I plan out all of my tasks for the day in advance. What I am trying to say is: you simply have to calculate the amount of time you need for each of these tasks.

[You tell him you wish you were more like him in that regard.]

Like me, you say?  Well, alright. I will do you a favour and teach you some of the tools of the trade.

[You ask him if that’s alright with him.]

Yes. If you learn to divide your time more effectively, you will have more time to help me out with running the household, right? If we can successfully distribute the household chores, we will both have more free time. I see no disadvantages.

[You tell him you will work hard.]

Heh, you silly girl.  You are much too happy about such trivial things. However, if you are a good student and learn how to manage your time more effectively, I will make whatever you request. Would you like blancmange, panna cotta, or rather pudding?  These are fairly straight-forward desserts, so I could easily make them for you. After all, it’s my job as your master to discipline you. 

[You get flustered.]

You look like your mind is wandering.  I always intend to discipline you thoroughly, but no matter how much time passes, your reaction is always the same. I thought you would have gotten used to it by now, but…

[His remark makes you a little shy.]

You are truly hopeless. Well, all the more reason for me to discipline you. Anyway, we have limited time before we have to go to class, so I should quit the teasing for now. Seeing you so flustered only makes me want to tease you all the more, though.  That’s no good, is it?

[You make a face.]

What, does that displease you? The face you were making earlier told me otherwise. If you want, we could continue this after class. You like it better when I take my sweet time to torment you, right? 

[You keep your mouth shut.]
