I’ll write more about it when I get to the scene again on my second playthrough but Davrin’s reaction and confusion when he stabs the archdemon and DOESNT die is honestly kind of heartbreaking?

Because he’s just like. Why didn’t I die? I was supposed to die. And the way he talks about it just makes me wanna… grab his shoulders and shake him and be like you know you aren’t only valuable as a martyr, right? You know that you don’t have to die to be important. You’re already important. You already matter. For all the small and big things you do every day - every wooden figurine. Every note in your book. Every supportive and steadfast loving act. You are not just a hero to be sacrificed.
