Cloud is very careful with how much he drinks, most think he’s being responsible with how much alcohol he has, when in actuality Cloud’s afraid of getting blackout drunk and waking up the next morning with Sephiroth in bed with him
He only needed it to happen once for him to decide that he would never let it happen again. Especially since nine months after the incident, Sephiroth showed up again with the (fully grown) remnants and declared that they were the by-product of their drunken night together.
His attempts to explain that it is physically impossible for him to be the remnants mother have fallen on deaf years and now every mothers day he finds himself kidnapped and taken to mother's day brunch by his (not) children.
