experimenting with brushes and styles and stuff.... i spent like 2 weeks drawing nothing but ms paint doodles and i think my art has been permanently affected.. (ill go back to full good art / my comic sooooon i promise i just gotta get these things outta my head)

if you want to get better at drawing then you need to get obsessed with a freaky little character and draw them a billion times

one of the funniest things to me is that in Ohba's efforts to make L into a powerful and mysterious threat to Light he gave him seemingly unlimited wealth and influence and control over Light's personal freedom and privacy and autonomy etc. And this is somehow almost indistinguishable from if somebody were trying to write a sugar daddy dom love interest straight out of Fifty Shades of Grey for Light

i like to think that Beyond Birthday's extremely exaggerated imitation of L's habits was actually completely accurate to how L acted in the past, and BB was just basing his act off of a younger, more unhinged L, which was lost when L got older or something.
