i think a lot of people don’t know what sex appeal is outside of being naked and having sex. why are there people on twitter saying zendaya is not sexy and lacks connection with the people who have played her partners (hunter, mike, josh…)? and also let’s think about it. rue wasn’t supposed to be “sexy” she’s a damn KID trying to navigate life while dealing with grief and addiction. that was a very much accurate depiction of young love and the awkwardness that comes with it — despite a range of things being wrong with that show at times.

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? i think i would like caitlyn better if they just didnt have her hit vi n if her stans werent babying her or constantly reducing vi's character to her dumb gf. if vi wasnt constantly attached to her hip, i dont think i would actually hate her. half the shit i see about her come off as literal headcanons too n im just like huh? yeah i can do that shit too ig? based off what ive seen from her character too...

i hate it when they claim shes always been so passionate about zaun rights n helping zaunites n what not. she doesnt even know whats going on in zaun b4 vi takes her there. she didnt even give a fuck about what was going on in zaun until it crossed over to her soil. shes literally just doing detective work which is her actual passion.

u can headcanon lots of shit or interpret reasonings for her behaviour n multiple ways. i think caitlyn did a lot of what she did for seflish reasons like become an enforcer against her parent's wishes, defend vi at the council n to her mother, n messed around with vi in general. it gives her some sort of self confidence (i think there is another term that would fit better icr rn my brain is fried). she gets validation from it. caitlyn resenting her privilege cuz she "hates it" but still using it n benefiting from it n never actually deconstructing just makes her look like it was only for herself n she didnt actually passionately believe in anything.

i think that makes sense in her position where caitlyn stans say her life was hard too cuz she was born to b great n was pressured to b great n what not. i grew up privileged n kinda went the same route but my parents actually didnt care about me n i def did some deconstructing n still do n fully detached from part of it where i was living on my own. cassandra n tobias actually do care about caitlyn, even if cass n caitlyn had a complicated relationship, cassandra still loved her n cared for her n was worried for her safety n caitlyn resented that. i hate it when ppl headcanon n claim its canon in general that cass was just abusive. especially as someone who did have an abusive mother in a privileged environment.

i also see stans say that caitlyn's privileged life led her to not be able to show her emotions normally or that she was made early on to never show them n always choke them down (her "microexpressions"). i relate to that too n def can agree but using that as an excuse for her to do insanely hurtful things to ppl, genuinely not care, not apologize to ppl, or receive no real consequences is annoying. caitlyn doesnt get a pass for it, n shouldnt. everyone was saying b4 it aired (since the leaks rippled through the fandom silently imho) that characters should b allowed to make mistakes n get consequences for it but she never does in the end. she loses an eyes n like i said in the last post, its not a real consequence. her almost being executed is not a real consequence for her crimes either. ppl want jinx the terrorist to b locked away for life or killed for her actions but caitlyn enacting martial law against an entire city n gassing them n more war crimes for the actions of maybe 4 ppl n drug lords should b forgotten about. its sometimes almost meta how ppl treat caitlyn's actions fueled by bigoted vengeance against an entire city is somehow more excusable than jinx being fueled by oppression n blowing the leaders up. u can both says its wrong but caitlyn is the one who is doing it from the position of power n prejudice. hating ur oppressors n hating the ppl u oppressor cuz they r lesser than u are not the same thing. they r not a "parallel" either.

caitlyn never really shows actual support for zaun besides a few quick words during two scenes n one of them seems to b just about vi really. the bare minimum. and a lot of times, she seems disgusted n weirded out by zaun's customs cuz shes focused on the criminal side of it. in fact, the narrative does that too which is why a lot of ppl genuinely think zaun is a city of all criminals who just wanna steal n kill piltovans. it comes off as caitlyn saying they need to fix zaun cuz theyre all criminals n need to b dealt with, not that piltover is the one who's actually behind it n causing it n enabling it n benefiting off it. it feels like that till the very end of the show actually. when ekko talks to her, shes defensive n denies it. whenever a zaunite actually tells her anything or when shes not the one whos running the conversation or benefiting from it, shes insecure n defensive n sometimes angry. this response matters more than when shes just talking freely n being praised for doing the bare minimum.

if caitlyn had actually cared n had did some deconstructing n had actually detached herself from her privilege instead of just shallowly resenting it, she would not have walked right into a dictatorship n lead the damn thing. it would have made more sense for her to go rogue with vi n targeted jinx only, since jinx n the drug lords were the ones who targeted them, n not innocent zaunites. caitlyn literally shows multiple times in s2ep1 that shes never done any sort of thinking regarding her privilege n her thots on zaunites. she can easily understand what her entire city has been saying after the action of one person that she knowsssss did it partially cuz of an interpersonal family issue. she immediately starts thinking less of vi down to her literal blood. she only likes vi n can tolerate her cuz vi is "better" than the other zaunites, the exception, n cuz she thinks she can change her anyways. caitlyn would know that vi has been imprisoned for years n seems to feel disconnected from her roots enough to manipulate her into turning over to piltover's side. a lot of her behaviour is literally just manipulation. guilting vi into feeling bad for not wanting to b an enforcer n comparing her single traumatix to the literal life long misery vi suffered n is still suffering from. using her privilege to pull funding n hire vi as an enforcer without her consent after this fight. she only apologizes to vi about the badge after it's clear vi is somewhat in it with her.

i went off on a little tangent but what im trying to say is that caitlyn's grief turning her into a literal fascist dictator is not compelling or complex to me n its contradictory when u claim that shes passionate about zaun n resents her privilege. how would she have been passionate n actually cared when she easily walks into fascism n says things like shes never had a original thot in her life? in a way, u can say its actually just poor writing, but since most ppl dont do that for vi, who's character was actually butchered n did not have the narrative in her favor, im speaking for just her character n away from her writing. it just makes me look at her charzcter in s1 n realize that a lot of her behaviour is also bare minimum n fake woke cringe shit. shes naive n ignorant n insensitive. she cant not b perfect n then perfect the next second. shes not just "not perfect" either cuz this ignorance of hers turns her into a dictator. its not just a silly mistake to oppress ppl cuz youve always thot less of them. caitlyn didnt just change her mind, shes never thot highly of zaunites to begin with. she saw how riddled with crime it was n was more focused on getting rid of it then actually helping helping the innocent zaunites n stoping piltover from oppressing them. its always that zaun is crime city n needs to b gassed n have violence enacted on them as a whole to "help them" n its funny that piltover does this cuz its just more oppression n everyone can pat them on the back for killing the roaches.

if u wanna say that caitlyn did care, then she would have gone rogue with vi. i mean, she wanted JINX n vi was already willing to do it anyways, shes her goddamn sister n they just witnessed first hand what jinx did n why she did it. its like the narrative forgets that caitlyn was there n that shes completely detached somehow while also being connected to it? caitlyn instead immediately tries to make vi conform to her life style. shes entirely selfish in act 1, shes not loving or caring, shes selfish. u cant say shes treating her like shit cuz shes grieving n then pretend like she still cares about vi. she doesnt care about vi at all in s2 act 1 or in any real sense the rest of the show. if caitlyn did actually care, she wouldve seen how distressed vi was when vi pulled her aside n instead of kissing her to shut her up, she wouldve talked to her n asked her to leave, that would have made the kiss better if they still went through with it. vi clearly should have not been there. caitlyn is somehow praised for telling vi she shoulnt have to do this alone in s2ep1 when vi shouldnt have to do this at all. if it really wasnt vis fault, she wouldnt b there n she wouldnt want to erase "her mistake" so badly that shes dissociated cuz she needs to kill her sister. if caitlyn cared, she wouldnt have even asked vi to became an enforcer to being with. shes not even grieving in s2ep8 n still walks in on vi having a panic attack n having self harmed n all we get is a sad little look b4 she starts talking to her completely insensitively n later kinda initiates the sex in a prison cell for no reason. caitlyn is a part of vis trauma n just b4 this, she literally victim blames herself to her n nobody even bats an eye to it. the sex scene is annoying cuz its being used to "heal" vi despite it being insensitive to her cuz how is fucking in a prison cell supposed to b healing when she was being beaten in that place since she was 15? they never acknowledge vi's trauma either n they never actually let her heal. they just lobotomize her. vi's trauma is a plot device to the writers. its not supposed to b important to the audience n since its already hard for anyone to have real sympathy for a character like vi, its not seen as a flaw cuz nobody cares or sees anything wrong with it. i didnt want a sex scene after caitlyn abused her n i thot caitivs begging for one after watchig s2ep3 was absurd n kinda gross to vi's character but if it was gonna happen, i would want the context to b better.

and just more quick things about caitiv, i see arcane criticals claiming that caitvi is completely defined by lust. i can see that from caitlyn but not from vi. vi is unhealthily attached to caitlyn but imho she fell in love with her n genuinely cares about her. caitlyn seems to use women n altho i dont compare her to a literal moid who uses women, she still uses them n caitlyn stans find this a postivie thing. that caitlyn looks at vi the same way she looks at a prostitute. caitlyn sleeps with maddie n its only a headcanon to assume shes doing it to get over vi. if caitlyn actually did care about vi, she wouldnt sleep with another woman when shes apparently in love with her lol. she also wouldnt make it a point to say it in some fuck off "love letter" they tried to say was canon. she barely shows any affection to vi n idc if u bring up the "but its hard for her to show emotion..." so??? thats just another thing why i dont find caitvi interesting cuz vi deserves someone who can do that for her. shes always doing it n she shows a few times that she benefits from it. she deserves someone who actually show her love through actions and words.

why did caitlyn chose to hit vi instead of breaking up with her? yall realize that hitting someone is not a proper way to break up with someone? yall realize thats abuse right? caitlyn hitting vi is not a proper placeholder for words. why is that something to praise anyways? if u wanna go into her character n not praising the writing, why would caitlyn hit vi? caitlyn is shown angry at vi for doing something normal. they actually had jinx, they didnt need to kill her in that moment, vi thot she had given up n there was now a child in the way. caitlyn still blames her a reveals that shes been thinking less of her anyways to the point it makes her previous actions. vi did nothing that should ever illicit that reaction or even explain it n ofc thats the first place caitlyn went, was viewing her as every other zaunite. vi rightfully defends herself by calling caitlyn out, whether or not u agree with that she says, n if u wanna get pissy about how vi started it by grabbing her arm "roughly" then yeah whatever u dumbasses will say her grabbing her arm is abusive but not caitlyn literally hitting her cuz vi is just sooooo abusive already. vi is just trying to hold her hand n bring her down n caitlyn is seething for a few moments b4 deciding to hit her instead of telling her to leave or let go. she HITS HER n watches vi in pain and sobbing n gawks at her b4 having a small microexpression n leaving. no words were said, vi would have no idea what was going on besides that she was just put down n then literally put down to the ground violently by someone she loves n cares about, who literally just had her in a vulnerable moment an hour earlier where she opened up a part of herself that even the writers make a big deal about. vi trusted caityn n caitlyn was all she had n caitlyn violently rejected her n left her without a word. no one cares about this from vi's perspective, it's always about caitlyn cuz they need to scramble n find positive excuses for hitting her. the only time they pay attention to vi is wonder why on earth she reacted like that apparently. i think when it comes to caitvi, not a lot of ppl see it from vi's pov n the narrative makes it easy for u by not letting vi have any thots on it n avoiding it.

For example, I recently learned that Disney+ had an original film called Crater. It’s scifi, family friendly, and seems cool - I would love to buy it as a holiday gift for my little brother! But: it’s exclusive to D+ and THEY REMOVED IT LITERALLY MONTHS AFTER ITS RELEASE.

The ONLY way I can directly access this film is through piracy. The ONLY available ‘copies’ of this film are hosted on piracy websites. Disney will NEVER release it in theaters, or as something to buy, and it may NEVER return to the streaming service. It will be LOST because we aren’t allowed to purchase it for personal viewing. If I can’t pay to own it, I won’t pay for the privilege of losing it when corporate decides to put it in a vault.
