@kareyuns this is absolutely not because you live i hawaii .. actually it is so like love triangle between tour guide and her friend and the tourist. mimi taking up a summer job as a tour guide and being assigned to a backpacker who randomly chose the place and showing them around and her friend getting jealous by the amount of time she spends away because that's basically dates. and then the backpacker decides to stay longer and the rivalry for mimi omg.

FIC REC WEEK 43 – ENEMIES TO LOVERS

AUTHOR SPOTLIGHT: imposterhuman

I pretty much love all of the ideas and AUs that imposterhuman comes up with for these boys, they're so much fun! Especially the ones where they are clearly rivals, which is why I chose to rec them here. The characterizations are spot on, and I really love the dialogue – imposterhuman writes fantastic sassy banter.

Pairing: Bucky/Tony Rating: G Words: 2,179 Tags: No Powers AU, Firefighter Bucky, Detective Tony

Summary: Bucky and Tony weren’t dating, because a firefighter and a detective couldn’t date (never mind that Tony hadn’t slept with anyone else since their thing had started, and he and Bucky hung out with an alarming frequency, and the whole precinct thought that they were an item). It didn't matter how many nights they spent together, how Bucky had a drawer of Tony's things and vice versa, they just couldn't. It was a classic Romeo and Juliet situation, if Romeo and Juliet actively disliked each other on top of everything.

Reasons why I love it: Aw, look at our idiots in love, they're adorable. The dialogue in this is hilarious, and I really enjoyed the rivalry between the different departments. And of course, it takes a kick in the ass for Bucky and Tony to finally admit how they're feeling. I love it, and I bet you will too!

Reasons why I love it: Oooh, Bucky, my man, you're in danger. Tony is sexy as hell as an untouchable art thief, Bucky doesn't stand a chance at resisting him. I love the UST in their dialogue, and the entire setting just makes me want to read a whole novel about this verse. It's amazing, and I really hope you give it a shot for yourself!

Reasons why I love it: Tony is such a little shit, I love it! And I bet Bucky loves it too, that little faker. I would read a million more words in this verse, as is the case for pretty much all of these, really. This fic is fantastic, and I hope you go and check it out for yourself!

Summary: If Bucky Barnes didn’t stop chasing him across the seven seas, Tony was going to have to do something drastic, probably involving cannons, illegal activity, and a shit ton of rum. “You need to sort out your relationship with Barnes,” Rhodey scolded. “He’s chasing you like a scorned lover.” “Scorned?” Tony scoffed, shaking his head. “I was perfectly courteous the morning after. It was a mutual decision to not see each other again, seeing as he’s supposed to arrest me on sight.” “You left before he woke up, didn’t leave a note, and stole something valuable, didn’t you?” Rhodey looked to the sky like he was praying for strength. “Tony, if we get arrested because you had a one-night stand with the commodore’s first mate, I will send you to the gallows myself.”

Reasons why I love it: I grew up with Pirates of the Carribean, so this fic was like catnip to me. The reference are perfect, I love the banter between Tony's crew, and of course, the Winteriron is magnificent. I adore this fic, and I bet you will too, so I hope you'll check it out!

He stared at the ceiling, sending up a very nasty prayer in case someone was listening, then turned back to the job at hand.

Reasons why I love it: I really enjoyed the back-and-forth in this one. They're clearly both equally skilled, and the power play that comes with that is just delicious. I love this one, and I bet you will too, so you should definitely read it!

Switching gears, today we’re featuring Heated Rivalry written by Beulaugh (@if-music-be-the-food-of-love), art by Polaris-artwork. A rivalry AU in the competitive world of music.

Beulaugh what was your inspiration for this story: My fic is inspired by the book Heated Rivalry by Rachel Reid. The novel follows two rival hockey players who fall in love after 7 years of secret hookups. I’ve read the book 3 times in the last year, including when I was on my SKAM pilgrimage in Antwerp and Oslo, so I wanted to bring the two worlds together. Since I know nothing about hockey, I moved it to a world I do know--classical music.  The story covers 7 years, beginning when Sobbe are 16/17, both French Horn players. The whole story takes place in the music world--from high school to the conservatory to their future careers.

Polaris-artwork what inspired your art: I love how it's a story about horn players and I love how ELU makes a cameo.

any headcanons pertaining to the first gen trio and the way they parent their sons?

Alright, I finally got this done... because I did all the first gen parents! Surprise!

Siggy/Dee - Deirdre, having grown up in the woods, ended up opting for a very natural parenting style. Organic and home grown foods, minimal/reused plastic, lots of outdoor time, etc. Sigurd makes enough money for that kind of lifestyle, though Deirdre knows how to do it on a budget. She's not extreme about it, though. Sigurd's introduced her to lots of cool things she didn't have growing up (like video games that aren't hand me downs from people at church). With his encouragement, she's also working on her degree at the local college. Not sure what she's going for, but probably something Earth Science related. Deirdre tries to schedule her classes while Seliph is at school, but when she can't, she has Oifey babysit him.

Quan/Ethlyn - Quan is very into good grades, so both Leif and Altena are in tutoring and private school. They're also both in sports as soon as they're old enough. Altena is really good at soccer, and by goodness does Quan make sure to brag about it to Travant. Ethlyn isn't very happy about this. Travant's a widower, he doesn't need someone bullying him! Quan just needs to let this stupid rivalry go. Plus, Altena seems to be friends with Arion! Quan shouldn't ruin that!

Eldie/Granhye - Very classy parents. I mean, it's Eldigan and Granhye. Ares began music lessons at a very young age, just like his father. These paid off, though not in the way anyone expected. Ares ended up being into punk and metal music rather than classical. Instead of getting mad, Eldigan and Granhye decided to embrace it (granted Ares keeps his grades and behevior good). His electric bass is his favorite present ever. He nicknamed it Missiletainn.

Midir/Edain - Edain found out early on that she really liked to read books to her kids. She ended up volunteering at the local library to read more books, and that's how the little Tirnanog friend group came to be. She and Midir take turns staying at home since neither of them have a standard monday-friday schedule. They make sure to spend a lot of time together when they're both off. Family board game nights are a regular occurence in their house.

Lex/Ayra - The sporty parents. As soon as Larcei and Schatach were old enough they enrolled them in soccer. Then came martial arts, swimming, you name it. The kids' diet probably consists of Issachian home cooking, granola bars, and gatorade. Shannan has stepped in multiple times to babysit or get the kids to practice. He's the super cool older cousin, after all!

Azelle/Tailtiu - Super nerdy parents. I'm talking DND and cosplay type nerdy. Tine was born premature, so they spent a lot of time in the hospital. The nurses absolutely adored Arthur. They were all so happy when he started to walk and say his first words. Hilda, however, was jealous of all the attention Tailitu and Tine got when they finally came home.

Finn/Lachesis - I think your headcanons about Finn and Lachesis being Malewife and Girlboss are pretty spot on. Lachesis has some sort of high ranking office job, while Finn stays at home. Diarmuid sometimes spends time with Beowulf (his bio dad), but lives with Finn and Lach. Beo's very chill about the entire thing and even gives Nanna gifts for her birthday and christmas. (Slightly off topic, but in an AU where all the games exist at the same time, I can see Finn being really good friends with Dedue since they're so similar. I mean, their leiges are even both voiced by Chris Hackney!)

Alec/Sylvia - I actually headcanon Lene and Coirpre to have different fathers in canon, as Coirpre was young enough to get the attention of the cult and that wouldn't be possible if Coirpre was born pre-Belhalla (though he does have severe baby face). Anyways, since this is a modern au with no cults or political scheming (hopefully), I'll go with them both being Alec's kid. Neither Alec nor Sylvia ended up with a high paying job, so money was tight. Then Alec got a job under Hannibal. He became close to the family and agreed to become the children's godfather. He likes to spoil the kids since he could never have any kids of his own. I'm thinking of Uncle Drosselmeyer from the Nutcracker from some reason. Speaking of Ballet, Lene's lessons are free since Sylvia works at the studio. Coirpre… well I'll be honest, I don't know what he'd be doing.

Lewyn/Erinys - Not a day goes by where these two can't figure out how Ced ended up being a straight a student. Erinys was a good student, but she wasn't super into it. And Lewyn… well, Lewyn is Lewyn. Fee ended up more free-spirited and laid back like her dad, though to a more responsible degree. She credits this to having her dad's love for life mixed with her mom's responsibility.

Jamke/Brigid - Somewhere inbetween Ayra/Lex and Edain/Midir on the parenting style spectrum. Patty ended up really enjoying gymnastics, so they kept her enrolled in it. She also took up magic tricks, including (to Jamke and Brigid's dismay) lock picking. Super cool cousin Dew totally didn't teach her that. Febail took up archery like his father.

Hey, I was thinking about the Galvadad AU again, and now I’m really curious, because we all know those little sparklings/heirs of the twins are gonna grow up into adults one day.

So will Roddy follow a similar path as canon, and maybe end up taking up some adventuring? Get all that energy out, and learn how to properly take care of himself when he can’t lean back on Galvadad and Cyclon-mom. Maybe even get himself a ‘rival’ of some sort? That he definitely won’t fall in love with by accident- ex. Thunderclash.

Like he goes around, adventures, gets captured/fights his rival now and then, takes care of himself on his tiny dingy (yet very beloved) little ship from daddy dearest, etc.

And if he did, gee golly how would Galv and Cyc react? Because I can imagine Galv is either;

Proud his son has a ‘rival’

“Who dares think they are worthy enough to have a chance at rivaling with my sparkling’s hand?”

“Yasss tell me all about himmmm” (gossiping like those high school girls in movies)

And Cyc is just *Hades voice* “he’s a GUY.” every time Rod tries to explain about this whole ‘rivalry’ thing.

And also, if Rod were to ever accidentally end up sparked or bring said ‘rival’ home, or something, I’m curious how Cyc and Galv would react. Alternatively, if they found Rod cut off from said rival because someone else in the faction thought they were doing him a favor to try taking them out of the picture, but he ends up feeling superbly guilty and doesn’t want it to happen again. He’s not that evil.

Also been thinking Angels & Demons AU - Galv finds this tiny young angel and is like ‘is for me? 🥺👉👈’ Cyc is unphased. This is normal. Megs just puts his face in his hands, knowing all too well - this is his stupid ass himbo twin. Of course he’s gonna try to adopt the cute thing.

It’s a fun AU to think about, honestly, especially with how many possibilities there are, and the story/world you’ve made. And btw, would you mind if I made works for the AU since it inspires me to write sometimes?? Sorry if I bother at all, and hope you have a good day/night! :).

At some point Roddy is definitely going to become a leader in part of Galv's forces. Probably a general or commander under him and Cyclonus. Though, of course, I can see him doing a lot of adventuring. This is something Galvatron has done with him since he was a kid; nature walks and exploring. He wants his son to have a sense of adventure! And learning some survival skills is always useful.

As for the rival thing... So a thing that was originally planned for this au was my short fic When Will I Get A Nemesis, where Galvatron sees having a rival as being a sort of romantic deal (he is convinced Megatron is flirting with Optimus). Honestly the only reason that story is not officially canon to the Galvadad au is cos once I wrote it I thought it would be better as something that would more likely to lead to Galvarod, and that certainly wasn't going to happen here. That story would work better with an adult Autobot Roddy.

But still, I like the idea that Galvatron sees having a rival/nemesis where you spend your every day thinking about your next encounter with them will be, as something classically romantic. So if Roddy did ever get one he'd be like "Oh my gosh I'm so proud! My little boy is growing up!" Suddenly he wants to meet Roddy's nemesis, invite them for a pot roast, maybe kidnap them to go "You better treat my boy with the respect he deserves". He'd be embarrassingly encouraging.

And honestly if I did introduce someone to play that role it probably would be Thunderclash. I can't think of who'd be better for that.

Also Galvs and Cyc would definitely have taught Roddy about safe sex so there's no way he'd get sparked by accident. If he ever does get a kid it'd be entirely deliberate (though honestly I think the Roddy of this au would be more likely to try and adopt another lost foundling like himself).

Pairings: Beomgyu x gn! reader

Summary: You finally hear Beomgyu out after years of hating him...all thanks to a snow storm.

A/N: I randomly got the urge to write this- I hope people find some enjoyment out of this! Feedback is always appreciated!

"You're an idiot, Choi Beomgyu. I hope you get trapped in here forever."

An annoyed scoff leaves Beomgyu's mouth, his eyes moving away from his phone to shoot you a glare, hating this situation just as much as you.

"If I'm trapped here forever, you're gonna be trapped with me, dumbass. Now shut up while I look at the weather."

You roll your eyes in response, looking outside his bedroom window, watching the heavy snowfall, not a single color in sight, as if the snow washed away the vibrancy of the city. Trees, cars, and houses were covered in a thick blanket of snow, the crystals shining from the street lamps reflecting off of them.

While some may consider your current surroundings an early winter wonderland, you couldn't be more pissed. You were positive the world was playing some sick joke on you the moment your professor paired you with Satan himself, better known as Beomgyu, but now this was a step too far. You knew that with the expected six feet of snow, there was absolutely no way that you'd be going home to your bed tonight.

All you wanted was to curl up in the warmth of your own covers, maybe even treat yourself to a cup of hot chocolate as you binged whatever show you hadn't finished yet, but at least your current rage could warm you up instead.

"Why the fuck did you invite me over if it was gonna snow?"

Beomgyu groans and refreshes his phone for the hundredth time as if the weather app would suddenly tell him something different and all the snow would vanish instantly.

"Don't try and blame this on me. Did you check the weather before you came here? No. It would have made more sense for you to check the weather since you had to leave your place."

You bite back a response, knowing that for once in his life, Beomgyu was right, but you'd never admit that out loud.

There were almost no words in the dictionary that could describe the mutual hatred you had for each other. Your friends never understood why you hated the boy so much, but you had every reason to.

How could you not hate the guy who gave you your very first heartbreak and humiliated you?

While others would know him as the hyperactive lovable idiot on campus, he'd always be the guy who asked you out in high school because the seniors dared him to, gave you your first kiss, and then lied about getting a handjob from you the next day. You were elated when you walked into the school doors, ready to look for the boy you had fallen for, only to be devastated when you heard the rumors being whispered about you.

Nothing between you has been the same since. You knew no one would ever believe you if you denied the rumors, so you did what any "mature" teen would do...you doubled down on the lie and made a few embellishments of your own, claiming that Choi Beomgyu had a small dick.

It was safe to say that the rivalry had started there and hasn't gone away even after starting college. All you wanted was a peaceful college life, away from any childish drama, but when you saw Beomgyu in your Art History class, you were tempted to drop out of the course. And when he became your partner for end of semester project, you were ready to send in your letter of resignation.

"My friends know I'm at your place, and the last thing I want is another incident where people think I slept with you or something," you hiss out as you reposition yourself in Beomgyu's uncomfortable desk chair, causing it to squeak.

Beomgyu glances up from his phone with an indifferent look, biting the side of his cheek and letting out a heavy sigh through his nose.

"If your friends think you slept with me and don't believe you, that's their problem. And can we maybe not talk about that right now? Or ever?"

You narrow your eyes at the nerve of the boy sitting in front of you on his bed. He's the one who ruined your high school reputation, and yet he's the one who wants to forget it ever happened?

"Why not? It seems pretty relevant to our current predicament. If you hadn't lied about getting a handjob, I wouldn't have started hating you, and we could've—" you cut yourself off from finishing your sentence, worried about the words that nearly left your lips.

We could've been together.

Beomgyu chooses to ignore your unfinished sentence, for now, as he tosses his phone aside, giving you his full attention with a scowl on his face.

"You don't even understand what really fucking happened, Y/N. I'm not as shitty as you think I am."

Your gaze challenges his as you tilt your head in amusement.

"What don't I understand, Beomgyu? I'm pretty positive I know everything and can gather up that you're just a massive asshole."

Another long sigh leaves Beomgyu as he debates whether he should fess up to what actually happened, figuring that anything he said was useless anyways. But fuck it, what's the worst that could happen? You continue to despise him?

"I was dared to ask you out, but I already had a crush on you, and Yeonjun dared me to "man up" and tell you. His friends found out after our date ended and asked me how it went...I told them I kissed you, and they started making fun of me for not doing more with you. I know it's stupid, but I panicked and said that you...ya know. I was gonna tell you myself and apologize, but you were already upset and said I had a small dick and avoided me anytime I tried to talk to you."

Beomgyu watched your face closely as your smug expression fell, soon replaced with a look of shock. All these years, you figured Beomgyu had made a master plan to humiliate you to score some cool points, but he was just a scared sophomore pressured by a group of douchebag seniors. Regret instantly floods your body at the realization that Beomgyu wasn't as much of an asshole as you painted him to be.

You closed your locker door after getting your books for the next lesson. The hallway went silent.

Opps. Did I slam it too hard?

You turned around to look at everyone's reaction, hoping to not get the weird looks.

But you met eye to eye with Nozel Silva. His face seemed to forever be in a scowl but the girls were all squealing over him. You'll never know what they see in him.

Nozel's eye darted away from you like you were some sort of diseases that made his eye hurt. And you simply rolled your eye.

"Acting all high and mighty just cause he's rich and studies well, lmao" you said sarcastically as you leaned against your locker and crossed your arm.

Nozel's eyebrows twitched a little as he heard your comment. He turned his head back a little to glare at you, both of you scowling at each other.

Your bestie, Vanessa pulled you away, whisper-shouting at you, "let's just go, y/n!"

Both Nozel and you didn't start off this way. You both never bothered about each other's existence at the start of the year, but because both you and Nozel were the top student of the cohort, you were always 'fighting' over the first position.

There can only be one number 1 and that person will get the scholarship to get in Clover College, the prestigious college of your area.

Whenever you took the top in the test, Nozel would give a frown like someone owed him money. He was also always acting cool and confident, like money could resolve all his problems. Well, it could really resolve 99% of your problems but.. you just didn't like his stuck up behaviour AND you really needed the scholarship so you both became "rivals" somehow.

"I dont understand why does he need to vie for this position with me? He's bloody rich so he doesn't need the scholarship to get in??" You stretched yourself to get ready for PE class later than evening.

"Well, it's like an honourable thing for the family name," Nebra sat beside you and sighed, "he's pushing himself a lot, that brother of mine, but he really doesn't mean any harm. We get it from him sometimes too."

In Silver Eagles High School, certain lessons were mixed between the different levels, example cooking, PE or art lessons, so you got to be in the same class as Nebra, Nozel's younger sister. Somehow, you both got along despite you and her brother's rivalry.

"Well, if he treats you guys this way as well then it's not about the family name" you lifted your hand in an inverted coma, "it's just his ego?"

Nebra giggled, "oh y/n, you're the only girl I've seen that talks about my brother this way."

Nebra liked you. You were real and down to earth and you really worked hard for everything that you got. And you were the only one that doesn't squeal over her brother.

Most girls that liked Nozel were only because they liked his looks or his money. But thankfully, Nozel doesn't give them more than a second glance because he was very focused on his academics and his sport, archery.

He was also the teacher's favourite because he's smart and responsible and always brought back Medals in Archery. He was indeed the Model student.

But you were not bad yourself, you always excelled in academics and you were on the school's volleyball team with Nebra and Vanessa, except that it was a team sport so you were not as recognised as Nozel.

Nebra often thought that you and her brother would be a lovely match if it weren't for the both of you fighting over the top position. Well, one can only imagine, Nebra thought to herself.

"oi, y/n~" Josh came to your desk, "could you like, teach me how to do homework?"

"How do I teach you if you don't even come to class?" you gave him a stoic expression.

Josh was the school's hockey team MVP. He was great at his sports and was also another ladies' favourite but he always skipped class. He always used his Hockey trainings as an excuse like he was tired or injured etc and the teacher's had no choice. But his academic results were a disaster.

"Hey now, give me a break will ya, training has been killing me, at least let me study your homework then?"

"You mean copy?" you raised a brow

"No~ don't say it like that.." Josh gave you a sheepish smile, "I thought a pretty face like you would be nice too"

"Give me a break, Josh" you rolled your eyes at him.

"being a brag just cause you're top in class?" Josh started to speak sarcastically and his friends sniggered.

You ignored him but he grabbed your bag, "eh eh pretty face, better not be too proud yeah? Sharing is caring"

You struggled against him, but he was huge and strong, so your efforts were futile.

A hand smacked Josh's arm, causing the Hockey player to let go of his grip on you.

"What a disgrace, bullying a girl." Nozel gave Josh a look of disgust as he walked past towards his desk.

"it's none of your business rich boy," Josh glared at him, the other boys squaring Nozel up, but Nozel had his Lackeys back him up too. (well, cause he's rich yknow) Both staring down each other.

"It's none of my business but I'm trying to study here and you're bothering me."

Josh knew that he could not offend Nozel. The Silvas were very authoritative and had great influence in the country. Once, someone tried to beat Nozel up in Middle school, but not only did Nozel know self defence, that guy got expelled and hearsay that no school in the country accepted him after.

Josh stomped off in a huff, "I'll remember this Silva. You better watch out y/n."

"What a waste of my time," Nozel Muttered when he left.

You pursed your lips. You hated to owe him but you did. "Thanks."

Nozel took one glance at you and he went back to his desk, completing his homework.

You sprained your ankle at volleyball training, you could barely walk, so Nebra offered to give you a ride home after training, since she had a chauffeur come get her.

But as the door opened, Nozel was seated inside. You both stared at each other, the tension rising again.

"Are we some kind of hitch service now?" Nozel spoke coldly.

"It's fine, Nebra, I can just-"

Before you could finish, Nebra held your hand and sat into the car.

"She's injured, brother, anyway her house is on the way, move over a little." Nebra nudged her brother into the car so you had space to sit in the Bently too. Well it was spacious so there was more than enough space.

Nozel let out a small "tsk" but he remained silent as he leaned back and closed his eyes, tired from a day of archery training.

You and Nebra ignored Nozel and made small little chats about the day as you guided the driver to your home. Soon enough, you reached your place.

"Your house looks cute and cozy just from the outside, y/n!" Nebra looked at your little home.

"Come by one day, my mom is a pretty good baker," you beamed at her and thanked her and the chauffeur for sending you back.

"You friend has good manners, young lady Nebra." The chauffeur commented, which Nebra agreed.

You were late for school the next day. You had trouble sleeping at night because of the pain in your foot and you didn't have time to see a proper doctor yet, so you put on a guard and waddled as fast as you can to school.

The lecture already started when you arrived, and you mumbled a "sorry" to your lecturer. There was not much seats left and you just scrambled into the nearest available seat.

You already felt a cold vibe coming from beside you and you glanced to your side, mentally cursing yourself for choosing such a seat. A seat beside Nozel Silva.

fuck it, you thought to yourself and quickly took out your notes and tried to figure out where the lecturer was at.

You flipped back on forth, until a page was shoved beside you, showing you the slide the class was at at that moment.

You looked up at Nozel, his eyes was focused on the lecture in front. You've never been this close to him before, and you noticed his lavender eyes, a hint softer than Nebra's and you thought that they were really pretty. Even prettier than Nebra's, you would say.

You shook off your weird thoughts and whispered "thank you" to him. To which he just nodded.

The bell rang, signifying the lunch break and everyone quickly packed and scooted out of the lecture hall.

Because you had some things to catch up on from missing 30 mins of class, you were still scribbling in your notes. You tried to quickly pack up so you could head to the front to ask the lecturer about some questions you had, but someone knocked into you, spilling the contents of your bag onto the floor.

Said person ran out of the hall, mumbling a "sorry", leaving you picking up everything amongst the crazy stampede of humans leaving the room.

Someone bent down, helping you to pick up your notes and stuff. You looked up, about to thank the person and it was Nozel Silva. You were so surprised and shocked when he handed you your file with all the notes inside picked up and slotted nicely.

Now you were looking at him close up, face to face. His face was flawless. What does this guy eat? His features were pretty nice, he had a pointed nose and chiseled jaw line, you kinda understand why many girls fell for his looks.

"T-thank you," you stuttered upon realising you might have been looking at him a little too long. You took your things and turn to head towards the lecturer, but he was long gone.

You let out a sigh. What a morning.

Nozel handed you something. It was his notes from today's lecture, "pass it to Nebra when you're done." and he walked off without another word.

You swore your heart did a little skip at that moment and your perspective of him started to change a little.

"Tell Nozel Thank you for me," you returned the notes to Nebra at the next training. You passed some muffins to her as well. "From my mom, for you guys for sending me home and helping me out!"

"I can't believe my brother lent you his notes" Nebra wriggled her brows at you.

"Well, maybe he knew why I was late, since you guys sent me home the other day and he decided to show some mercy." you laughed.

The next day, you were walking to class with Vanessa and you saw Nozel from afar, coming towards your direction, your heart thumped a little faster thinking about what you were going to say to him.

Should I say hello, or ask about the muffins, or thank him again for his notes.

"Nebra is sick from eating your stupid muffins." he glared at you, "what did you put in them?"

You were flabbergasted and was totally caught off guard.

"What?" you managed to squeak out.

"Tsk, can't talk now?" he was more annoyed now.

"I-is she ok??"

"The doctors came to look at her this morning and gave her some painkillers, she was vomiting the entire night."

"Is everyone else okay?"

"Only she ate your muffins. Thank god I didn't eat that cheap thing." he shook his head.

"Hey, don't be rude, Nozel, obviously y/n didn't mean it??" Vanessa stepped in front of you.

Your chest was in pain. It felt like a dagger was being stabbed straight into your heart multiple times. He didn't even try the muffins, he thought it was cheap and Nebra was sick.

You didn't know how to feel. You felt genuinely bad and worried for your friend and you were hurt that the muffins you helped your mom made were being insulted this way.

For the past week, you really thought differently of Nozel. You thought that he wasn't that bad of a person and you were excited to see him again.

You didn't even realise you were crying until your vision turned blur.

"I'm s-sorry." you lowered your head and looked at your feet, not wanting him to see your tears fall.

But he did. He was dumbfounded and panic stricken when he saw the tears form in your eyes. He didn't mean to make you cry... He pursed his lips, unsure of what to say now. He mentally chided himself for using such harsh words towards you.

He was just mad and worried about Nebra and the year end exams were coming up, she couldn't afford to miss any classes.

"you happy now, Nozel?" Vanessa held you and chided Nozel, "do you rich people have no manners?"

Instead of apologising like he should, he coward away, turning his heels and walking off.

When he turned his back on you and left, your heart shattered.

For the next few weeks, you always avoided Nozel and you didn't even look him in the eye. Although Nebra was already better, but you didn't know how to face Nozel after what he said.

You really thought that he was a good guy afterall, only to be proven otherwise when he insulted you and your mom's muffins. But you couldn't really argue much, since it was a fact that Nebra did get a tummy upset after eating your muffins. You could only feel dejection and disappointment.

The finals were around the corner and everyone was more focused on school. You worked your ass off, studying day and night endlessly, hoping to get that scholarship and getting into clover college.

Nozel sees you in school very often. Since the both of you were the top students, you both hung around school to study very often. There were many times where there was not much people in school anymore and both bumped into each other.

There was always a tension and awkwardness in the air. Nozel didn't know what to say; he regretted the words the moment it came out from his mouth.

Truth to be told, he admired your spirit. Not many people could be this determined and disciplined. You were always kind to teach your other friends patiently while he would always lose his patience.

You were popular amongst your friends, but he knew that many around him were just interested in his wealth. He lowkey wanted to be friends with you but he didn't knew how to ask. And ever since that incident, you wouldn't even give him so much as a glance. And it actually broke his heart a little.

Upon hearing your name, his ears perked up and started listening to the conversation. "what muffins?" he pretended to not remember, but he knew exactly what his brother was talking about.

"The one y/n gave to Nebra! Josh wanted payback for the other day when you embarrassed him. He thought you were gonna eat them, but he put some constipation meds in there.."

Nozel stared a hole in the younger Silva, "evidence?"

"Well it was awhile ago so we can only take his word for it. So technically we can't really report him or shit." he shrugged, "I just thought you wanted to know, since you scolded y/n about it..."

Solid zipped up his lips when he saw the tone in Nozel's face change. If looks could kill, he felt that he would have been murdered by Nozel.

Nozel Silva seldom felt regret. But now he was haunted by it. He already felt bad for his harsh use of words and now he felt like he was being kicked in the gut a thousand times.

He never thought of himself as dumb until today. He wanted to apologise to you but he had no idea how to.

"Yeah brother, you deal with y/n and your studies and I'll deal with that Josh guy... How dare he do that.." Solid cracked his fingers.

"I'll help you!" Nebra nodded at her brother.

A cake box with a beautiful red ribbon was placed on your desk the next day. You looked up at the gifter. It was Nozel. His face was slightly awkward and his ear tips were red.

"s-sorry about the other day" the Silva coughed out.

Your heart thumped in your chest, you could feel the heat rising to your cheeks. Even though you told yourself you were mad at him, you couldn't help but feel the butterflies at this moment.

"It wasn't your muffins, it was Josh." Nozel told you everything that Solid told him.

"I can't believe that idiot!!" you furrowed your brows, "how can he do such a thing!"

"we'll deal with him. don't worry." Nozel nodded to you and your heart skipped a beat. He was so suave and cool, you felt your face reddening and you had to purse your lips to not smile.

"h-how?"

"Nothing a little money cannot solve.."

"geez, you rich people... I can never understand.." you gave a little laugh, to Nozel's surprise. It was the first time in 3 years you laughed in front of him. And you looked kinda... cute.

You opened up the cake box and noticed a little card inside.

It was getting late on a school day and it was just one week to the finals. You were studying alone in the library, your study buddies already calling it a day.

"Still not done for the day?"

You looked up. Nozel took a seat beside you.

"Just finishing up the l last few chapters, you?" you gave him a shy smile, ever since that day, you both would smile at each other or give little nods when you saw each other.

Some days you both could sit beside one another in lectures or class. The people around you were shocked.

"I'm done actually, but I can wait for you. It's getting late and there's no one here."

"Oh no it's fine-" you tried to wave him off but he was already opening one of his notes.

You threw in the towel at 9pm.

"I'll send you back, it's on the way." Nozel insisted. His chauffeur was already waiting at the school gates with their Bently. "You can rest abit in the car. It's what I usually do."

You wanted to protest but you were extremely exhausted from a full day of studying. So you hopped onto the Bently.

"All the best for the finals, y/n." Nozel gave you a smile. He looked really handsome even under the dim lights of the car.

You got finals done and dusted. You felt a huge rock thrown off your back. You were finally free! It was time to focus on the upcoming spring sports tournament.

You focused on your volleyball and Nozel focused on his archery. You thought about him a lot actually. But since there was no more school, you saw him lesser.

Only during days where your practice was on the same day and you would bump into him or see him when he waited for Nebra.

Nozel too, wanted to talk to you. But he had no idea how to and your common topic was studying, which you no longer needed to do right now. He felt a little sad on some days and he found himself thinking about you a lot more.

He started to make excuses to come see Nebra at training, so he could steal a glimpse of you.

When you played volleyball, you looked so cool and sexy. He started to ask Nebra more about the sport, so he could understand you a little more.

The results for the finals came out. Nozel took the top place and he got the scholarship. You couldn't help but feel disappointed but you were truly happy for Nozel. He had studied hard and he was really, really smart.

You finally understood what it felt like when they say your heart is melting. You felt like the luckiest girl at that moment. The Nozel Silva is in love with you?? Since I got a SINGLE note on my South Park Battle of the bands au I am making it and so far this is the lineup and premise.

Premise: Ladies, Gentlemen, and gentlefolk of all ages it is time for the annual South Park Music Festival. Starring the beloved Battle of Musicians Tradition held by South Park High School. These scholars have been preparing for this all year. With rivalries, romance, a few show-off's, and good old fashioned competitive spirits please put your hands together for this year's line up!

Henrietta, Micheal, Tweek, Craig - Classical. Non-conforming, oddball, Classical. The type Tweek writes at 3 am while drinking an abomination between an original monster energy and straight from the pot coffee. Henrietta is the main vocalist, Tweek plays the piano, Micheal plays the violin, and Craig plays the bass. When Tweek feels like the bass is being left out or overpowered he composes songs where the bass is the main instrumental. They all provide song lyrics.

Kyle, Stan, Clyde, Tolkien - Heavy Metal/Screamo. They all write songs for the band and the lead vocalist changes based on whoever wrote its preference. The only exceptions are Screamo parts which always go to either Stan, who can do it safely and consistently, or Kyle who has a top notch horror movie scream. Yes they have seasonal albums. It is purely to spite Stan's father, Randy, as all of the songs have "special" in the title and shit talk Stan's dad.

Butter's and Dougie - South Park's very own Lemon Demon. Lemon Demon which is described as a Pop rock alternative rock is this duo's specialty. Lyrics were once used to directly hint to Leo's alter ego as well as riffing on his parents but people were too busy bopping to pick it up. Additionally Dougie writes instrumental and Butters does lyrics and vocals. They're codependent like that.

Kenny - Imagine a Mother Mother and Autoheart baby genre. Pop rock? Pop rock. He records sound bits of him playing each instrument and then layers them in post-production. Kenny plays all of his own instruments but he can't play them all at once and he refuses to try. He'd look stupid. Though this means when he preforms live he either uses a CD of his instrumentals or he plays an electric guitar. He has a few "writers block" songs of strange notes and vocal combinations he uses for warm ups.

jack is obviously 'Football Star' material. he understands the game, he can pack a punch, he's aggressive and powerful and good at what he does.

and davey is all of those things, too; he's just not as... vocal, as jack is.

so, what i'm proposing is: jack and davey both play against each other for the first time in freshman year. jack has played all through middle school at this point; he's one of the boys who is rarely off the field, he shows up to practice early and stays late, and he's basically an adopted son to the coach

so, naturally, jack is pretty damn good at what he does, even at a young age.

which is why he's SHOCKED with Jacobs, a tall, skinny beanpole of a freshman from the opposing school absolutely gives him a run for his money.

now, davey isn't the strongest, but he has strategy down pat. he has his little tricks and knows his way around plays, and when davey's team wins that night, it begins a very personal vendetta for jack.

i don't rlly know the ranks of high school football (bc my school's team SUCKED) but i'm imagining that somehow, jack's team and davey's team go head to head at state, and... davey's team wins.

cue a rivalry for the next three years.

sophomore year, jack's team wins.

junior year, davey's team wins.

they do this dance every year until the homecoming game during their senior year. it's homecoming at Jack's school, and they're going up against Davey's team again. game proceeds, Jack's team wins, yadda yadda

but it's not until after the game that jack gets to talk to david for the first time in a while.

"Not too bad out there, Kelly," David says as he approaches, and Jack takes a moment to look him over. He's grown a lot since freshman year; still tall, a little bit more muscle mass, and sharper features. "Didn't know you had it in you."

"Oh, shut up," Jack responds, taking his helmet off with a smirk. "What can I say, Jacobs? I'm just that good."

"Mhm. Tell that to your two lost championship games."

"Low blow, bro. Low blow."

And then David smiles, because of course he smiles, and Jack feels all of the air leave his lungs. "I'm just saying. Maybe this year will be your year?"

Jack scoffs. "Don't go easy on me now, Dave. I ain't fragile."

"Your masculinity is, but you can take a good hit," David teases. "I'll see you when I get that championship trophy!"

and it's conversations like that that make jack feel all fuzzy in his chest.

later that night, he finds david on instagram and follows him, and, to his surprise, david's instagram is like. not at all football-y? like he has pictures on their of himself in makeup and crop tops (sarah is a photographer; david just happens to be her model) and he speaks out about political issues and he talks about his favorite books and his favorite classic literature works and it ABSOLUTELY throws jack through a loop

because david is the quarterback of the team, and david is... like this on social media.

anyway, jack probably messages him, and david messages back, and they just,, don't stop talking.

like every day up until the championship game, they're talking. they call each other when jack goes on runs, they call each other while davey is working out, they call each other late at night when they're supposed to be sleeping because they both have a game tomorrow but, oh well

finally, championship game rolls around.

and long story short, jack's team wins.

also up until this point, all of jack and davey's conversations have been nothing but flirty. these boys are FRUITY

and everyone is celebrating on the field, but then someone yells for everyone to move because, OH, david jacobs is making his way across the field, and he literally looks like he has murder on his mind

so jack starts walking toward him

and EVERYONE is freaking out bc "oh SHIT the two quarterbacks are gonna fight"

bbut they meet in the middle and david is staring jack down, chest to chest, and all of a sudden david grabs jack's waist, pulls him closer, and kisses him

and there are a few gasps

but then the crowd loses their MINDS when they see jack kiss back

and when david pulls away, he looks down at jack, smiles, and says, "congrats, kelly. you did good."

and then he walks off, and jack walks back to his team with a smirk, and acts like nothing happened.

the next day, they meet up in the city and post their first official "couples photo" to their instagrams

My question is why do highschool aus write Loki as a loner whose only source of socializing is his family and Thor's friends?Like Loki is a theatre kid diva who is probably part of the student council just so he can get out of trouble or look more innocent to the teachers.He's a literature and science geek.He's friends with Amora, Lorelei, Doom, Emma, is on okay terms with Wanda and maybe Tony,he's got beef with Strange.And he wouldn't mind staying home over partying but he's still down to club.

I think it’s because most authors tend to write MCU Loki instead of Comics Loki. 

MCU Loki is depicted as a loner, a misfit, a social outcast who has never really fit in. Mistrusted by all and unliked by most, he’s completely on his own. He’s even distant from his parents. His only friends are Thor’s friends, and even they aren’t really his friends. He is basically every introverted, geeky high school student who has ever lived. (And someone to whom most of this fandom can relate in one way or another.)

The whole story of Thor (2011) could easily be adapted to fit a high school setting, which might be why these AUs are so prolific and typically involve the characters from the first two Thor films. You’ve already got the cliques, the jocks, the preps, the nerds, the social caste system, the strict parents at home, the achievement-chasing, the sibling rivalry, the frenemies dynamic—it’s literally every high school teen movie ever made, only set in outer space with Norse gods.

It’s much easier, I think, for fans to write Loki as he was depicted in canon—a loner/misfit/pariah/etc—than to try to write him as the opposite. Both authors and readers can envision him a bit more clearly. Plus, having a loner in your high school AU is almost a requirement, and if anyone’s got to be the loner, well, look no further than Loki. He checks off all the boxes.

(It’s worth mentioning that the geeky, misunderstood loner getting together with the jocky popular kid is also a classic and much-loved trope. Very often Thor fills this slot perfectly since he’s canonically shown to be... well, all of the above.)

Comics Loki, on the other hand, has quite a few friends, peers, rivals, fr/enemies and acquaintances he’s made throughout the arcs/years. It’s actually more of a realistic scenario, because none of us is an island. We all have connections somewhere.

While it’s safe to say that most Marvel Comics fans have seen the MCU films, not all MCU fans have read the comics. All they know is what they’ve seen on film. And this is totally fine. Some people have no interest in this particular medium. (Let’s be honest, it takes a lot of energy to keep up with all the various arcs and series and keep them all in order in your brain, not to mention on your bookshelf.) 

But having more characters, storylines, and material to draw from is nice. When you’re a fan of both MCU Loki and Comics Loki, there is so much you can play with when it comes to creating transformative works. The sky really is the limit!

Speaking of which, I love the way you think, anon. It’d be really awesome and refreshing to see Teen Loki, Thespian Supreme, Chronic Abuser of the Student Council Disciplinary Code, Sonnet-reciting, Sagan-quoting nerd with a pack of pals who love him (and get him into as much trouble as he gets them into).

(Oh gosh, this one. Beautiful. Angsty. Passionate. Hello?? I raved about this for an entire week, and had to reread it twice after reading it the first time. I think this one is definitely one of the best. Rated M for My Favorite and MMMM.)

Summary: Hermione detested failure. She hated entering a new situation where she wasn’t absolutely confident in her abilities to succeed. Dating women was one such new situation. She decided to arrange a no strings encounter but was not prepared for the feelings and memories it dredges up, feelings she thought she’d buried after she lost touch with a certain Frenchwoman.

(Definitely one of the classic Fleurmione reads. Poetic, painful, intricate. Shell Cottage has never felt more like home, has never felt this safe before, has never felt this torturous. I’d listen to To Build A Home by The Cinematic Orchestra while reading this. The fic is written in Hermione’s POV, but To Build A Home grants us a glimpse into Fleur’s perspective, at least that’s what I think! Not a lighthearted read but worth reading every word and so much more.)

75. Is there anyone they consider their rival?

I think that in canon, Colette may have initially seen Felicity as a potential rival at the School of Sorcery. Felicity is tall, talented, Crested, refined--Colette wanted to best her. Once Colette saw how friendless Felicity was, though...and perhaps they needed to work together, and so Colette switched tack. It was better to befriend the haughty, mean girl she was stuck in a dorm with than to try and prove that she was better at magic than her.

I don't really see Guinevere as being the type to form rivalries/be too competitive. She feels a little out of her depth rubbing shoulders with royalty and high nobility, and is more concerned with not sinking than she is with trying to pick a fight with anyone in particular.

i'm so bad at this because i listen to like 5 artists. so i'll be vague and say that modern or not, Colette is on the cutting edge of what's new and trendy. also modern or not, Colette is into parodies and making trashy versions of popular songs. enjoys: upbeat tunes with lots of obscenity

Guinevere is probably more low-key. she likes your classics and the stuff that was popular when she was a teen/early twenties. probably in a modern au it's mostly love ballads and stuff. songs that are sickly sweet and mushy. soft spot for 'i would die for you' themed songs.

Do I ship it?: I’d rather get a booster shoot, thanks.

General Feelings: I can’t ship ships when one character raised the other, even if it’s an au where it didn’t happen, knowing that England is a caretaker to him in that way just kills it for me. There’s no way to make having a crush on someone you raised, distant or not, not be weird. No matter what that’s going to come off creepy. Doesn’t even matter if they’re blood related or anything. It’s still the idea of one nation being an adult while the other raised them since they were a little kid. It gives me the same vibe as dating your childhood babysitter. If you want this dynamic, why not try PruEng, DenEng or PortEng, same sunshine x raincloud aesthetic with 0% creepy under tones.

TLDR: You’re just in it for the Cute Jock x Angry Nerd dynamic and it shows.

2. GerIta (Ive already talked about.)

TLDR: If fandom ships were ice cream, GerIta would be vanilla. It’s a base line, it’s fine as it is and some people hate it for that exact reason. I like vanilla, it’s alright.

3. FRUK (Ive already talked about)

Do I ship it?: I’d rather not, thanks.

General Feelings: I just never liked spamano, again the Angry x Sunshine (which isnt what Romano is, but it’s how it’s often written) isn’t really fun to me? I used to hate it cause I don’t like tsundere’s in writing style cause I personally cannot understand them. Like my brain does not register well with aggressive insults being seen as compliments because it’s from X person. But that’s just me, I don’t do that shit I think “tsundere” needs to die. But that’s beside the point.

I don’t like it now for two reasons. One because of the same thing I said with USUK, I’m not comfortable with shipping pairs where one raised the other, no matter what it’s gonna be weird dynamic wise. Two is in my mind the merits of Spain as an older brother or father figure to Romano mean more than him as a love interest. It can create a lot of dynamics that are more fun both between Romano and Spain and Romano and his brother. It creates a situation where one is often in the position the other wanted. 

Vene having more money and general social support, but often having to play along in cherry high class situations which makes a lot of his relations, especially with Austria, feel kind of hallow. While Romano was more poor and seen as low class and crass, but he has much more honest and deep relationships with the small group of people he cares for. it creates situations where the brothers can envy one another and I dont know. I just like it better than leaving Romano with only something like Rome and letting Vene have Hungary and Austria.

TLDR: Let Romano have a father figure please he’s earned it.

6. PruAus

1-5: -2

Do I ship it?: No

General Feelings: If you like Prussia with someone slightly uptight and orderly, why not just use England instead? Their personalities work better together cause at least then he gets a partner that understands him being a feral punk gremlin. I’m biased in this regard I don’t like Austria as a character so take with a grain of salt. But I never cared for the dynamic. The only PruAus thing I ever liked with bubblyernie’s ask art school prussia blog, and that’s it. It feels like the rivalry dynamic but it doesn’t get to the fun part for me, but again I also get that I have a bias.

TLDR: Meh.

7. PruHun

1-5: 5

Do I ship it?: Y e s

General Feelings: I just like the idea of them being strong feral gremlins on horseback together. Powerful generals, good friends, just the idea of excited forest heathens on adventures. I don’t know, it’s just fun. If not romantic they would be ride or die friends and I cannot be convinced otherwise.

TLDR: 10/10 would feral gremlin in the woods again.

8. AusHun

1-5: -2

Do I ship it?: No

General Feelings:I never liked cause I always saw Hungary change around Austria versus other people, especially Prussia. Plus they’re canonly divorced. I’m not an expert on Hungary, but I just don’t care for it. There’s better ships. Though again, I am biased.

TLDR: Let them stay divorced, Hungary deserves better,

9. PruCan

Do I ship it?: Nah

General Feelings: Nothing really to say on PruCan, I just see them as friends and ship them with other people. They’d be good gaming friends tho absolutely 110% catch those two raiding together. They’re gaming nerd buddies and I can respect that.

10. SuFin

Do I ship it?: Fuck No.

General Feelings: I really don’t. I just don’t like it. I know mainline ship but I just- Every time I want to talk about the Nordics it comes up. I’m not well versed in Nordics. But every single time I try to talk about Finland, or any of the nordics. BUT ESPECIALLY FINLAND, it devolves into how Sweden plays into it, or how SuFin plays into it. Like I cannot talk about Finland without him being treated as Sweden’s accessory and it infuriates me. Let Finland be his own god damn character and then maybe I’ll like SuFin cause he’s never given his time to shine without having it feed into someone else.

TLDR: Finland is no one’s wife, fuck off.

11. DenNor

1-5: 0

Do I ship it?: Nah

General Feelings: Again, I never knew much about the Nordics, but the basic of the ship when I first saw it was ‘haha Norway chokes Denmark with his tie what a tsun-tsun hur hur’, which makes me really uncomfortable... as someone who doesn’t vibe with abuse=romantic feelings. I like NorFin myself, and Denmark is a ball of sunshine. I don’t hate it but it’s not really good.

TLDR: Why was the tie choking thing seen as funny/romantic? Am I missing something??

12. RusAme

1-5: 4

Do I ship it?: Sure

General Feelings: While it’s not my immediate first pick romance wise, I thoroughly enjoy all the RusAme there is out there. If not lovers, I still see them as ride or die friends. Because they’re both freakishly strong I feel like they’re the only ones who can really cut loose and use their full strength on one another even in the most small ways and it means the world to them that they can do that. No holding back just full open honesty with each other. Also the fact that it’s canon that people think they hate each other and they’re just like ‘nah man we pals’ is fucking great.

TLDR: Rock on you funky space lads.
