If you had pretty much free rein over Elektra’s mother (but still had to adhere to canon for the most part or atleast not directly contradict it that much) what would you do with her?

honestly right now she might as well not exist like you could read most elektra comics and think hugo natchios had an immaculate conception a la virgin mary because no one has ever bothered to write anything about elektra's mother other than sometimes when she's a cheating whore or whatever

as for the ms natchios the first who lives in my mind........ i'd give her have some history with the hand, like ive always said. i think it adds futility to elektra ever trying to be something else because she was tied to the hand before she was even born.

i'd have her be a business woman or a politician because she later ended up married to a diplomat so she's not just like. a normal gal to have gotten involved with him in the first place. she's a jet setter, she's a model she's educated etc etc shes a 70s it girl. but she made some shady deals w the hand and theyve hounded her ever since and without even knowing it, that's passed onto her daughter.

usually i hate anything to do w having kids because it gives me the creeps but i think i like the idea of christina being super excited at the prospect of having a lil girl for some stability in her very busy and hectic life and her daughter would be something just for herself and she could teach her everything she knows etc etc and it just doesn't end up working that way. also she chose the name elektra because she's pretentious and rich and loves the classics

i think her n hugo have a good relationship but they maybe grow apart due to both being important busy people but they still love each other undoubtedly and hold one another in very high esteem. he tried to keep her memory alive for elektra after she dies but its difficult and elektra maybe starts to feel some type of way about the constant reminders that her mother isnt around and she is. n so starts ms natchios the second's emotional distancing

and if she died in childbirth or through being assassinated and it looking like death in childbirth it was always just inevitable that elektra ended up how she did as a woman alone forever tied to a group of cultist assassins that wont get off her dick

also i just like the idea of her father being the idealistic/good ending for her like the safe life where she's sheltered and protected and her mother's origin being who she really is and ends up being idk i just want her to have someone who could truly understand her even if they are dead. like someone she could relate to even if she doesnt want to

i like the idea of elektra being so much like her mother and having no idea about it. thats where she gets her brown eyes, her jawline etc etc like its about the Yearning for something youve never had of it all and she's kind of not sure if it even is yearning or resentment because she's not great with emotions or expressing herself . she loves her dad but she's more like her mother
