Elektra had many character flaws, and being easily bored was one of them. She hadn't been in Hell's Kitchen long before she decided to give in to that burning desire to talk to Matt's new paramour. Yes, there was an element of jealousy there--there always would be when it came to him, yet another one of her character flaws--but there was curiosity and protectiveness too.

She couldn't knock his taste. Ms. Page was lovely to look at, and everything she'd managed to find out about her so far suggested much more than a pretty face. "Tequila. Mezcal if you have it." She smiled at the bartender before shifting her attention to the other woman. "Oh, I imagine I met him much the same way you did. Got a bit of a heroic streak in him, doesn't he? Despite what the papers say. Elektra Natchios." She offered a hand.

Once it would have bothered him, how quickly she was on her guard. It meant he'd slipped up and let a little too much of the real Dex show. He'd gotten good at pretending, quick with a charming smile or comment, but it was all surface-level. He wasn't good at faking anything beyond that, and all his relationships had been short-lived. It was hard to hide when he was that close to someone, and they seemed to sense something off about him and get spooked.

Now, he found he sort of enjoyed the effect. It was nice not to have to pretend, nice to be as unsettling as he wanted to be because he wasn't trying to fit in anymore. Kingpin had taken all of that away. He liked the question, so direct, and he smiled a little while he considered the answer. "You… interest me. I'm familiar with some of your work, Ms. Natchios. It's very impressive." He didn't have to fake the compliment. He'd observed some of her fighting from a distance, and she was as good as Daredevil. Maybe better.

"I'm Benjamin Poindexter. My friends call me Dex. I think we have a mutual acquaintance." He didn't have any friends anymore. He also doubted very much that Matt Murdock would approve of that description of their relationship. Dex didn't hold any particular grudges there. As long as he refused to kill, Daredevil was little threat to him. Kingpin was the real target. And Dex never missed his target.

"Why? Is that weird?" A crooked half-smile, like he didn't know exactly how weird it was. Dex might not be the best at picking up social cues, might not always know exactly where he'd slipped up in a conversation to make people start looking at him strange, but he knew which behaviors were red flags. Following a woman home, even one who was usually armed to the teeth and occasionally wearing someone else's blood, was a major red flag.

He just didn't care anymore. Kingpin had freed him of that much, traitor that he turned out to be. Dex was no longer pretending to be a normal, functioning member of society. It had been more than a year of extensive surgery and rehabilitation, but he was on his feet and a little extra now, the adamantium making him harder to hurt.

Paying Fisk back for that took time, research, resources, and he was drifting sort of aimlessly in the meantime. He had a purpose, and that was enough to keep him steady, but it didn't fill all the hours of the day like his work for the FBI had. He could admit a certain curiosity about the other heroes and killers in the city, and Dex had watched her from a distance before he ever made contact. He had no idea what she knew about him, if anything.
