so I've been rewatching some of my fave skamverse seasons (not France because I hate it with a passion stronger than the fire of a thousand suns) and like I know some people have issues with this remake, but skamIt has some of the best, most fleshed out friendships? Sure they have their issues, they are teenagers after all, but still there's so much thought pu5 into the friendships of those kids! Ands that's why the italian version will always be my favourite in the skamverse.

Controversial Opinion:

I think wtFOCK should have gone the Vilde(another OG cast member) route for the newgen.

We have only had two remakes newgen (because skamitalia will never newgen, as besse has confirmed before) and both of them brought in their newgen via the Vilde character. Skamf/Druck both actually wrote their last OG gen seasons knowingly knowing they were gonna expand the newgen via Vilde and I actually think thats the way to newgen. It allows the people that loved the old cast to sustain a tiny sliver of hope to see old characters or get background information on them. I think wtFOCK not connecting a single old character to a new one(as of yet) was a bad call and them deleting the old characters off their socials was also a bad call. Skam works because its a whole ass universe where everything is interconnected in this weird way. Even the remakes reference one another in funny ways. So when you cut the connections to the old gen it sort of stops feeling like the show you liked. Also I would argue that the stories of the Machwitz & Lecomte families were actually really powerful stories about generational trauma and the examinations of the child to parent dynamic. wtFOCK may connect another main to the old cast but I think they should have done it from the jump because its just to jarring. Like why do we even care about ADA? We cared about Lola and Nora because we cared about Kiki and Dapne. But we have no incentive to care about Ada. So I get why the audience is stuck.....

I don’t know what to think about this season.

I just hope it doesn’t disappointed my expectations, ‘cause I really think that Elia could be a great character if they know how to work about him.

I think that we have a lot of interpretations about this trailer, I’ll tell you some of mine:

• Elia can’t have relationship with girls ‘cause he’s gay/bi/pan/asexual ( I think this can be only my dream ‘cause Bessegato didn’t want to give you that - maybe he changed his ideas but I don’t think so - yeah I’m still hoping about “Elippo” became canon )

• Elia can’t have relationship ‘cause he was abused when he was younger ( I don’t know if it make sense but when viola, in the trailer, talked about older people who date I have this feeling )

• Elia killed someone during a car accident and maybe he go to the cemetery to honour this person

I don't know if anything I said even makes any sense, but tell me what do you think about

At the midpoint, today we’re featuring the first of our collaborations: Superstar, a cooperative effort written by MinilocIsland (@irazor) and Ghostcat (@ghostcat3000), and art by parallel-univers (@parallel-univers).  These versions of Isak and Even are slightly older than in canon, 23/24 and 26 respectively. Beardsak is in effect.

MinilocIsland and Ghostcat what inspired you for this story: Superstar began as a late-night/early-morning discussion about the best singing actors and our unapologetic love of one particular old-as-balls musical. As the idea evolved and became an actual story, inspiration came from Hei Briskeby gifs, indie video games, boy band rehearsal videos, beautiful Innlandet scenery, centuries-old orphanages, and the love superfans have for their idols. The general themes of the story are stardom, success and failure, loneliness, determination, fandom and love. 

parallel-univers what inspired your art: The writers are two of my absolute favourites in this fandom, so I'm extremely happy to be able to work with them. They've done an amazing job creating a fabulous universe and it's incredibly engaging and inspiring. I'm super excited to create something cool for this wonderful story!
