Chapter 6: Sometimes when Isak is working, seemingly lost in thought as he sands down one of the new pilasters or cuts two wood pieces to the same length, there's a sudden change to his movements, a sharp intake of breath, and then he turns around and looks for me.

The first time it happens, he is kneeling at the foot of the stairs. He's been pulling on his unwashed hair all day. There's wood dust smeared on his forehead where he must have rubbed the skin with the back of his hand, and there's more of it clinging to the little gilt hairs on his arms. For reasons unknown, he's only wearing one sock.

He's so lovely.

The moment his gaze finds me, he swallows and the tightness around his mouth softens. He gives me a small smile. It stays on his face as he turns back to his work.

At the midpoint, today we’re featuring the first of our collaborations: Superstar, a cooperative effort written by MinilocIsland (@irazor) and Ghostcat (@ghostcat3000), and art by parallel-univers (@parallel-univers).  These versions of Isak and Even are slightly older than in canon, 23/24 and 26 respectively. Beardsak is in effect.

MinilocIsland and Ghostcat what inspired you for this story: Superstar began as a late-night/early-morning discussion about the best singing actors and our unapologetic love of one particular old-as-balls musical. As the idea evolved and became an actual story, inspiration came from Hei Briskeby gifs, indie video games, boy band rehearsal videos, beautiful Innlandet scenery, centuries-old orphanages, and the love superfans have for their idols. The general themes of the story are stardom, success and failure, loneliness, determination, fandom and love. 

parallel-univers what inspired your art: The writers are two of my absolute favourites in this fandom, so I'm extremely happy to be able to work with them. They've done an amazing job creating a fabulous universe and it's incredibly engaging and inspiring. I'm super excited to create something cool for this wonderful story!

This is my main contribution to @alterlove202's beautiful fiction CRACKS IN THE ICE and the SKAM BIG BANG 2024.

The art piece consists of lots of paper and glue, and some thread. A few pieces are photoshopped, and I guess you can tell which one it is.

I knew exactly what I wanted to make when I got pared with @alterlove2021 and I've had tons of fun making this art piece.

"You okay?" Even asked, pulling him out of his torpor. "We don’t have to do it, you know. I mean I don’t expect anything if you don’t– First time’s a big deal so I get it if you wanna wait, or do it with someo–" "No, I want to!" Isak rushed to reassure him, unable to believe Even could have taken his silence for anything other than the briefest nerves. He kissed his lips tenderly, then with a little more heat. “I want to. With you. I trust you.” I think I’m in love with you.

DONDERDAG 31/12/2022 -  21:21 - Sander kneels in front of him and takes the small box from his pants pocket, which he deftly opens with his thumb. He pulls out the ring, takes Robbe's hand without breaking  eye contact, slips it onto Robbe’s ring finger. "Marry me, Robin!" 

MAANDAG 06/11/2023 - 02:10 - "Sander, do you know it's almost 06:00? If we don't get some sleep we'll be really wiped out." "You're right. Thanks for staying up with me tonight, Robin."

"It couldn't have been any other way, we're not made to be separated. See you at the ceremony, San." "I can’t wait. Good night Robbe." "Good night Sander."

Ever since I started writing fan fiction with Sander and Robbe the main ship, I have always dreamed of writing one in which they are being married. I spent countless hours imagining this moment, their emotions, their looks, their thoughts, wishing to virtually accompany them to this imagined wedding.  SKAM Big Bang gave me the opportunity to finally be able to fulfill this wish. 

My worry was always that I would write something banal, that I would lack sufficient emotional exploration. Sander and Robbe are by far the ship I love most of all the SKAM remakes, and they deserve a fairytale wedding. I hope I succeeded in my goal. Only you can tell me with your comments.

Since this story is the continuation of a parallel, their witnesses are Isak and Even, who support and help them like two guardian angels. I must thank Viola_Player1 for her contribution in the Evak parts and avignonscat for being our precious beta.

I look forward to the next chapter, get your tissues ready. I cried so much in writing it and I hope to move you in the same way.

Keep Me Warm

Chapter one - For the Best

“Hi again,” Even says when they’re standing in front of each other, his words instantly dissolving into the booming music. “Hi.” The guy tilts his head up, smiling, then slightly leans forwards. “I’m Isak.” “Even.” “Eivind?” Isak frowns, somehow seeming to know that it doesn’t sound quite right. Even shakes his head, then leans in in turn, closer than Isak has just before, close enough that he can bring his lips to his ear, almost brushing his skin. “Even,” he repeats. When he pulls back, he sees Isak’s eyelids flutter for a second, his long lashes casting frail shadows onto his cheekbones. He nods and repeats the name to himself. It’s too low for Even to hear him over the music, but he can see by the movement of his lips that Isak got it right this time.

Summary :

This was supposed to be a simple story.

Boy meets boy in a club on a Friday night.

Boys laugh and dance, boys kiss, boys crave each other. And they agree that their story won’t mean any more than that.

But feelings have the unfortunate habit of getting in the way. So when a one night stand turns into a whole weekend and passionate embraces make way for shared confessions, Even thinks this might begin to look like a love story.

Isak doesn’t seem to feel that way.
