My professor says rhetorically, discussing economic development and its relationship with the environment and human life, and as my brain is still stuck on arcane against my will i can't help but think about the kirammans apparently building a vent system for zaun but not doing shit about the industrialization that made the Gray in the first place, and then caitlyn using the vents to release that deadly gas in her hunt for what she knows is a deeply disturbed teenager + the gangs that ran the undercity, with no mention of the deal jayce made with silco a season before, nothing about how the gas weapon manhunt affected zaun. Cait gets to go back to her big fancy house as a like tragic hero or whatever with her mom buried in a grave she can still visit and her dad still alive and a girlfriend who'll go down on her no problem despite losing her entire family and turning her back on the home she used to do anything and everything to protect. No sign of remorse not a hint of reparations or doing anything about the stranglehold piltover has on zaun. Gee golly it sure is a mystery why so many people would be put off by this story, riot games company based in california usa with mostly white people in charge

Stiles was glad to see Derek waiting for him. They walked out of the class together, though Derek caught his sleeve soon after and led him to the side of the hall. He waited as the students passed them before speaking.

“I wanted to ask you. About the spring dance…”

Stiles’ heart skipped a beat at those words. He tried to remain cool and unaffected but Derek grinned either way.

“I heard you were going to Seattle,” he finished.

Stiles blinked at him, hoping the warmth didn���t show on his cheeks. “Uh, yeah?”

“I was wondering if I could drive you.”

Stiles stared at him. “Huh?”

“Do you want a drive to Seattle?”

“W-with you?”

“Uh, yeah.”

This… was kind of sudden. Last week they didn’t talk at all, and now Derek was offering him… a ride? Alone in the car for two fucking hours with Derek fucking Hale? Who was, by the way, smiling again?

“My car works fine,” Stiles blurted and immediately cursed himself. Why the fuck did he just say that? Why?!

But Derek only smirked. “I saw you wrapping tape around the wires last Thursday. If you think it’ll survive the drive to Seattle, you’re not as smart as I thought you were.”

“So… you were looking at me.”

“Yes.”

They stared at each other.

Stiles couldn’t help but notice the way Derek’s eyes lightened. His whole face, so handsome yet so grim before, was nothing but soft now. Relaxed.

It couldn’t mean anything except one thing. It really was about Stiles — his gloom and glare, his dark circles and lack of appetite at lunch. There was no denying it. All of Stiles’ doubts paled before the sharp glint of the evidence.

Whatever tension was between them, it only grew each time they spoke. They both knew it, felt it, thick, viscous, and sweet like honey. It left them wanting more.

Standing still in the buzzing corridor, they let the noise wash over them. Both came to a silent conclusion that they would not be able to stay apart. They tried, and look what it led to. None of them wanted to resist the pull.

Stiles pursed his lips in a smile. Derek’s glance slipped to his mouth and back before he, too, huffed out a laugh.

“Can I drive you to Seattle?” he asked in a low voice.

“Yeah,” Stiles said quietly and watched the grin bloom on Derek’s lips.

He forgot the last time he felt this light.

mark on his forehead is now in the shape of an eye, along with an eye mark on the back of his nape

main eyes have a ring of sky blue in them, auxiliary eyes' pupils are the same blue (inspired by king of despair from kekkai sensen and mystic eyes of death perception as well as one other third thing that i can't say outright)

shoulder tattoos have an additional ring compared to the original; spinal tattoo has nineteen "petals" total, so nine of the two-petal shape plus an additional one-petal shape at the end

original obi's slash design expanded to flower design

red obijime held by ten-petal golden lotus obidome

black instead of white pants, golden bands above ankles

doesn't wear scarf as often, yuuji probably has it now; nape is often exposed for the eye mark to be visible

hairstyle... don't ask me. something like cu's from fate. yuuji is supposed to have an undercut, so the ponytail might be more like a rattail, but sukuna is a shapeshifter (nails/claws, eyes, mouths) so the hair could also just lengthen and be pulled back by the bandages. waves hand.

yuuta exhibits such previously abandoned, recently adopted dog behavior. incredibly anxious all the time, even though nobody’s out to get him or leave him behind. waits for you to return home or from school or from work excitedly, just to see you when you walk through the door. follows you around senselessly, hovering in your space just for the sake of companionship. initiates affection in prodding ways—starts off next to you, then a hand on your thigh, then deems it safe to lay all the way down, then slowly pushes his head into your lap. gets up whenever you need to get up, and resumes his position as soon as you’re ready. brings you gifts as a sign that he’s thinking of you, and maybe because he likes the affection it brings out in you, maybe because he likes the gentle affirming touches of a hand in his hair or a pinch to his cheek. rests his head on your stomach or his chin on your shoulder when he’s sleepy, stays there, immobile, and will not move unless absolutely necessary. sometimes he gets surprised when he hears you calling for him, there’s a moment of disbelief as he thinks “me? really? you need me?” but it’s very quickly overshadowed by this compulsive need to show up, to please, to do anything for you, which is why he always answers when you call. he doesn’t realize that he has puppygod eyes, especially when he’s excited or confused, but he does and it’s incredible endearing. very reluctant to share your space or attention after a while, considers that to be sacred and he won’t risk being let go or lost again, so as a safety precaution, he keeps himself right by you, waits for you always.
