The entirety of "We Are TroubleD" is actually an AU of a series that I'm writing. Tris and Dair were just so whumpable that they needed their own series. My poor boys...

Okay, stupid whump confession time.

When I was first getting into whumplr and figuring out the terminology the fandom used, I saw "environmental whump" and thought it was the strangest, silliest thing ever. Y'know why?

I had no idea what it was.

For some reason, I thought "environmental whump" meant one of two things:

A whumper who loves to actively destroy the planet IE: their whole thing is polluting the environment, cutting down trees, poisoning the water, littering, etc and getting their jollies from that. Think any cartoonish, irredeemable evil business tycoon from a 90's save-the-planet kids movie, but like, on steroids. I thought that nature was the whumpee.

Nature comes alive and is the whumper. I'm talking trees growing limbs and smacking people around, ensnaring people with vines, sentient forest fires making calculated decisions on whose homes to burn, mountains ordering rock slides to take out hikers, etc

Now I realize that environmental whump is more along the lines of "I left my coat at home and got trapped outside during a snowstorm" or "Man, I got water in my shoe and now I'm uncomfortable" and that makes a LOT more sense.

Gaaah I have like seven different WIPs going rn, and I keep staring at all of them, working on little nibbles of one, then putting it down and nibbling on another. I wish something would click on any of them so I could get 'em done and posted! Very frustrating.

I was gonna do a follow up poll asking if there was anything that you'd like to see LESS of on my blog, but it looks like there isn't an option to put two polls in the same post. D'oh!

Hey howdy hey friends! Your eyes don't deceive you, I just posted back-to-back "We Are TroubleD" entries! It's really just one short story split up into two posts, but hey!

I know I did that poll asking if it should be one post or two, and one post won... but even I was feeling like my eyes were glazing over when reading it all in one go, so I broke it up! It's 8,510 words in total (not counting the content warnings and such)!

Anyway, I hope you enjoy it! ^_^ I had been working on that entry for quite a while, so I'm glad to finally get it out!

With that entry being posted... I actually FULLY COMPLETED MY FIRST EVER WHUMP EVENT! I know that WoW's Birthday Whump Event! was going on in April of this year, but it's taken me this long to get everything written and posted! I really wanted to work hard on my entries and take my time with them, and I'm trilled with the results! It was fun to make them last through the year!

I'm cracking up because at this point WoW has already posted next year's prompts for that same event... D'oh! I'm not sure if I have it in me to go do it again... but hey, stranger things have happened! Either way, I'm so proud of myself and happy!

Expect my participation masterpost for that event to come out soon. Yay!!

D has told me his name, and I've been sitting on it for a while (probably over two months at this point) instead of just going with it because someone else has a well-loved Whumblr character with that same first name and I don't wanna confuse people or unintentionally step on toes. It's a small community, after all.

Idk if I should keep the name, or if I should continue trying to find a different name that fits D (I have a few alternatives, but they don't feel as "right". They could still work though I guess?)?

I feel like I should add that this is a normal human name, not some unique fantasy name or anything. I know that people don't own names or anything, but still, I'm trying to be considerate since I like this person and their character/work!

Whumping for creatives is just looking at the clock and feeling miserable as it gets closer to the time that you have to put down what you're writing or drawing to go work at your actual job.

I'm curious...

I've been posting up entries for "We Are TroubleD" out of order, since I write and post them as inspiration and motivation strikes/I complete a whump event prompt. Clearly the story has a chronological order, and I've been updating the master list to slot in the entries where they go in the timeline, but what do you, my readers, think about the chaotic way I've been doing things?

Please note that I'm not gonna start posting things in order regardless of how the results in this poll play out... if I did, you guys would have to wait like seven zillion years for the story to trickle out, because my brain simply won't let me write the story from beginning to end in order. I have to jump around. Dunno why, but that's my style!

Is anyone else that way? I get too excited when I complete a little bit, and wanna share it right away! Hopefully things make sense when they're being read through via the master post, though. I have a whole thing planned out, I just like to pogo stick around!
