why do I write dark things or borderline dark-ish fics? simply put, it is cathartic and healing for me and a way for me to process my own feelings for one and for two, the human experience isn’t all positive. I am perfectly aware I’m not the writer for everyone nor have I ever wanted to be.

going into 2025, I am shedding this fear of the fandom because I can’t please no matter what I do so I might as well enjoy what I enjoy at the risk of pissing people off. 2023-2024 have been just eggshell walking.

end of the day, I do this for free. this is my fun time and no one but me is entitled to my writing. you can call me names and say something is wrong with me all you want, but my reasons for writing and how I choose to heal myself and express myself is no one else’s damn business.

this is me putting my foot down because I don’t deserve to be treated like shit because I write fictional characters in a way you don’t approve of. I am not subservient to anyone or anyone’s opinions. I don’t care to hear what you think if it’s unkind. I don’t!

this will be the attitude. if you wanna send angry, hateful anons just know that I’m a) not going to read more than the first few words and b) utilizing the block anonymous feature liberally in 2025. you’re not going to piss on my fun and the fun of everyone who comes to this blog to chat and vocalize their hcs, thoughts, and opinions.

was talking with a friend about how some of dunmeshi fаndom misunderstands kabru's initial feelings towards laios.

to sum up kabru's situation via a self-contained modernized metaphor:

kabru is like a guy who lost his entire family in a highly traumatic car accident. years later he joins a discord server and takes note of laios, another server member who seems interesting, so they start chatting. then laios reveals his special interest and favorite movie of all time is David Cronenberg's Crash (1996), and invites kabru to go watch a demolition derby with him
