"It is too easy to dismiss [Leonor of Navarre] as an overambitious schemer who would do anything to obtain a crown, shedding the blood of her own siblings and her subjects in order to attain the throne. However, a deeper investigation of her long lieutenancy and ephemeral reign shows a woman who fought tenaciously to preserve her place but also worked tirelessly to administer a realm which was crippled by internal conflict and the center of the political schemes of France, Aragon, and Castile. She tried to broker peace, fight off those who opposed her, repair the wounds caused by conflict, protect the sovereignty of the realm, and keep the wheels of governance turning. Leonor was not always successful in achieving all of these aims but given the background of conflict and the lack of cooperation she received from all of her family members, bar her loyal husband, it is a huge achievement that she survived to wear the crown at all. Many writers have argued that Leonor deserved the troubled lieutenancy, personal tragedies, an ephemeral reign, and a blackened reputation, basing their assumption that she committed a crime that cannot be [conclusively] proven. However, a more fitting description of her would be that of a resolute ruler who successfully overcame a multitude of challenges in order to survive in a difficult political landscape and gain a hard-fought throne.”

Funny that when I think of Sephti and Rufti, I can imagine Tifa changes Sephiroth in a better timeline but I can't imagine she does the same with Rufus. Rufus is a rich white nepo baby with daddy issue, has superiority complex and a bunch of goons that willing to die for him, Seph is broke test tub baby, has both parents issue, used to be a pretty decent dude and was betrayed by many people. It's easier to imagine the second guy gets better with help than the first guy. No amount of love can change capitalism.

I know that wei wuxian calmed down a lot postres and became a lot more humble but I resent post canon depictions of him that portray him as.... unambitious and subdued. you cannot take wei "no precedent? I'll Be the precedent!" wuxian and try to convince me that he would stop striving for great and impossible things just because he's not as reckless as he was when he was younger

I couldn't help myself, I had to make Zero in beskar armour a reality. my desperation to see it realized overpowered my trepidation in the face of drawing armour, such was its power. (it was actually really fun to draw tho, turns out!) I imagine that it's beskar prosthetic arm + plate armour on the upper body and right arm, where the majority of Zero's remaining organic parts are still hanging out, and beneath that a cortosis weave undersuit for the whole body as an extra layer of insurance. altogether it probably costs more than the yearly national budget of a decently sized Mid-Rim planet and involved several acts of brazen, breathless corruption/treason on Blue's part, but damn if Zero isn't going to be all but invulnerable by the end of it (and ready to face down lightsaber users especially -- this could be real cool if they'd end up going against Louphan eventually).
needless to say blue has a picture of zero in full armour hanging over his bed like a pinup poster. yes in a horny way. he also definitely helped design the look of it
+ my first little design idea sketch! (or rather the first one that stuck/didn't make me want to crawl under a rock and never come out haha)

Not that i know about margaret douglas but is it generally seen as an issue of her having to forgive henry and anne?
I remember reading here i think that anne's last purchases were for elizabeth, henry and a lady margaret, and you speculated that was md so i guess from that there was a good relationship between them?
and when her friends and romantic partners were howards, she spent a hella time around anne's family and must've heard a more sympathetic opinion of anne from them i guess
Yeah, I thought that was a weird way to phrase that, because even if she thought that was fucked up it would be like...not really for her to 'forgive' that, it wasn't done to her. Hence the tags, sometimes people just compartmentalize in their dealings with others.
Well, some Marians think that her treatment and opinion of Princess Elizabeth during the Marian era (and her as Queen during the Elizabethan) was her 'real' opinion of AB coming out which is kind of... dumb...they were two entirely separate women. Not to mention that 1530s Henrican England had very different circumstances from 1550s Marian England and later Elizabethan England, and were two (three?) very different points in her life.
The idea comes more from the knowledge that Princess Mary and MD were friends, but this doesn't seem to have precluded her from having a positive relationship with H&A. Maybe she was even the person that had encouraged AB to reach out to her stepdaughter the few times she did, who knows. They seem to have picked up their friendship again even after their period of separation, if I had to guess I would say it's likely they both understood in the end that Mary had gone with her mother, and Margaret with hers.
She was good friends with Mary Fitzroy; not all the Howards liked AB but Mary definitely did...so yeah, something there, maybe.
