🎂 Gears realizing that he can actually wear clothes that he finds comfortable, not just starched white shirts and black pants. He asks Clef to join him when he goes shopping, for moral support, and because he likes being around Clef quite a bit. Clef makes him feel at ease, in a strange way. Gears tries on a few shirts and pants for work (all a size up from what he used to wear) before Clef asks “What do you wear casually? Like if you’re just doing errands or lounging around the house? And shit, do you have pajamas?”

Gears… didn’t know how to answer. Mostly because he didn’t have any casual clothes, or pajamas. He honestly didn’t have any clothing besides the white shirts that didn’t fit anymore, and the black pants that also didn’t fit. He didn’t even wear sweaters, even if he felt like he was freezing.

Clef grins at him, and drags him away from the button ups, to where more casual clothes are stored. It’s way out of his comfort zone, but so was cooking, and that turned out pretty well

Gears getting a chance to explore more in a way that makes him feel safe <3 finding out he really likes goofy patterned shirts
