This is just reinforcing my screenshot from yesterday where Antoine acknowledges a Veil Jumper Rook saying exploring Arlathan is “similar” - being a Jumper is a slept-on faction with enough fucked up canon details to satisfy any horror fanfic you'd like to write.

“Strife is mean to a Veil Jumper Rook!” Strife is trying to keep discipline in a forest imminently out of control and actively trying to kill you. He talks a lot like my retired military dad and really would like you to stay alive please. Both because he does care about you, and because people are dying every day under his watch.

The Jumpers aren't hippies exploring ruins, they're adventure professors fucking about in the Annihilation woods. Casualties expected.

Anyway, I love running with my elf crew.
