its so funny to call solas and lavellan’s trespasser breakup a divorce bc i know it wasnt one but i feel like it should count as a honorary divorce. it embodies all of the aspects of a truly miserable hetero divorce of two people who are so obviously never going to be over each other. wife keeps the house, their 90000 year old son, their casual third varric tethras. even her ex’s renaissance fair ass forest nymph rags she kept. husband keeps nothing and will tell anyone who listens how everything bad that happened was his fault and carries himself like a single 8th grade math teacher who goes home to an empty house and drinks his body weight in white wine

One thing I love about the morning after Fade kiss talk is that even though Solas knows he has made a huge mistake, he can’t stop himself from a cheeky little “Sleep well?” flirt. The whole conversation after that is basically him being sorry/ not sorry about the kiss. You can tell he is already in love but also that he must have been a real heartbreaker in Arlathan.
