To say it all over again, An alkaline wetland’s a fen. Acidic type ones Are bogs full of fun (There’s more; grab a paper and pen) A swamp is a wetland with trees Or woody-type plants. Now of these Four wetland types, last Is marsh, which amassed Just non-woody flora, one sees.

i have an oc named fen who i’ve been hyperfocusing on for the past two years, so when i saw you had an oc named fen i got jumpscared so bad, i was like HOW DOES TUMBLR USER JAMES CEMETERYTHING KNOWS MY BOY???? (that said, if you have the time, i’d love to hear about your fen!)

fen is my ferryman/river spirit oc! she takes various forms depending on which setting i'm using her in, but she's consistently a black woman with masses of curls that frame her face, freckles, an impish grin to match her mischievous nature and a fondness for gossip. she's something between a fae trickster and a physical manifestation of a river and its surrounding lands. i made an oc profile about her once that goes into more detail. i love her. she's cute and fun and sometimes she drowns people.

deleted my old sideblog but had to preserve my wetland wank tags. the first post on the old blog was about wetlands and the first post on the new blog is going to be about wetlands. this isn't a wetlands blog but i feel that their importance is often undersold and this is something everyone should know about me.
