Headcanons I wrote in school today

📌 Imagine the chase music you hear in Flee the Facility. Wilford has his own. It's either carnival or carousel music.

📌 Bing sometimes calls Google 'Connor' or 'RK800' to reference Connor from Detroit Become Human.

(He sets Google's friend nickname as RK800 in his chats with him)

(I think it would be ironic, from what little info I know about DBH, Connor is a deviant, and since deviants are androids that go against their programming from what I found in the fandom wiki when I skimmed through it, I find it funny thinking about Bing calling Google Connor knowing Google is the exact opposite)

📌 In return, Google calls Bing 'Deviant' on rare occasions.

📌 Damien prefers milk chocolate, Celine prefers dark chocolate.

(Celine would find milk chocolate too sweet. Damien has a sweet tooth)

📌 Bing was originally programmed to learn and enhance through watching visual representations such as demonstrations and performances.

(One of my main headcanons for Bing is that he was created as a prototype for what I made up called 'Browser-Bots')

While she is still an obsessed loving maniac, she's grownto be more discreet and careful.

She's still incredibly skilled with her daggers and katanas.

📌 Bim still hosts his original gameshow, but he often invites actual horrible people, like criminals and assaulters.

(I headcanon the Google's are actually Google Blue's extensions. Uh not sure if that's actually canon or not)

(And since I like to think they are different extensions, they have their respective uses in their programming that benefit themselves and together as a whole.)

Air Fleet Hero Anon here, you make a good point with your post, I was mainly just trying to come up with a potential reason to make the story of all the paths that contain it work. (Btw, Shadow does directly call the Central City bombing cowardly in his hero mission dialogue, I noticed that when I watched a playthrough and remembered your post.)

Yeah lol, I recently finished path #6, where basically Shadow is super evil and vengeful but he draws a line at bombing Central City... which leads to him betraying Black Doom in GUN Fortress because he still hates humans, but he hates humans in a honorable way lol. See, it's fun to try and spin a story with each path! But IMO it works much better for the Dark levels.

(kinda funny to imagine that this Shadow deplores bombing a city but is perfectly gucci with trying to assassinate a fleeing president lmao)

Paths #9 and #10, where Shadow is pure evil until Central City, after which he pulls a heel face turn and helps Knuckles and Tails before deciding he's an android and pulling himself away from the war, could have been an interesting story too. The android reveal still comes out of nowhere, though, and I really can't connect it with anything except the cutscene of Iron Jungle as it was intented.

(also a bit of a small correction on what I said: if you complete Iron Jungle Hero and go to Cosmic Fall, Shadow will wonder about "the doctor's actions and words" before the Commander drops the bombshell. This fits both Iron Jungle and Mad Matrix, which is two levels prior, where Eggman also tells Shadow that he has no past to remember. While it's not perfect and there are still plenty of paths where Eggman wouldn't give Shadow reason to worry, it works well!)

i wanna make a sub au where its supernatural/holy entites mixed w dystopia (+ redesign my fallen angel oc designs)

inspired by ff7, horizon and probably a bunch of other games i forgot

mainly ff7, even tho i havent even played the game LMAO

but ive seen a few clips and i like the environment/graphics/vibes

so for now just think of a dystopian setting where the angels demons and allsorts exist

nothing too supernatural

probably conflict within society

the setting i think it has a junkyard type vibes

for fits they'd have more streetwear/cyberpunk (as in the game, not so much the modern full of belts) fits

knowing tetsuya nomura, designs might be on the more obscure side (if youve seen some of the kh designs you might(?) get a bit of the feel??)

i'd think abt a lot of leather, heavy duty jackets, worn out clothing, cargo pants, combat boots

and dark color schemes

as for lore

the world is kinda in a state of poverty (typical dystopian setting), humans hate the holy supernatural thinking they're the cause of their misery

its like the gods abandoned the humans

and humans think the supernaturals are so full of themselves

the supernaturals think humans are idiots for blaming their problems on them 

and basically theres tension/conflict between the two sides (not to mention between heaven and hell but even then, they're more on neutral terms than with humans ironically)

i think even supernaturals feel abandoned by gods in this world

theyre not necessarily holy

theyre questioning their own existence

demons dont care as much but angels are probably lost and just doing what they can”

(Title inspired by this song)

Summary: Lee, being fed up with having to be an angel and her overly devoted angel family and their ways, ran away and ripped her wings off in the process. The escape process was a dangerously risky one, having been hunted down by the angels who refused to let her leave, resulting in her suffering heavy injuries as she collapsed after venturing as far away as possible. a nearby settlement [Liberty], alerted by the disturbance, finds the girl upon their investigation and brings her in. When Lee wakes up, she is only able to remember her name, but is nonetheless accepted refuge in their settlement. Basically, what happens throughout the story is that Lee learns to be human, slowly gets back her memories, and starts turning into a fallen angel.

El, who is your favorite/least favorite Paradox Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet? What are your thoughts on them?

Ok Imma try answering multiple questions in one go because my inbox is flooded at this point LMAO

I got Pokemon Scarlet because I like the Past Paradox forms the most and Koraidon just looks ULTRA badass with its feather crest, even if Miraidon looks cooler as a ride Pokemon.

Slither Wing is hands down my favorite of the Paradox Mons, altho Great Tusk is also a really fun design and Roaring Moon FINALLY makes Salamence look like a BADASS DRAGON and not a plastic toy :'D

And then we have Iron Jugulis who looks 1 to 1 just like Hydreigon but with LED lights on Iron Valiant though is probably my favorite of the futuristic Paradox Pokemon, VERY cool futuristic fusion of Gardevoir and Gallade!

BUT I gotta say, lore-wise its very concerning that apparently all Pokemon turn into ROBOTS in the future?? Gamefreak literally went "the future is CHROME" just like Spongebob did jgfdjkgfd

But seriously. Are these even Pokemon? Did humans try to enhance their strength and capacities by altering their biology??? Or are they android replacements for Pokemon that by then have become rare or even extinct? While it's an understandable move to turn Pokemon into robots to make the distinction between Past and Future, the implications are just SO incredibly messed up no matter how you look at it :'D

I think both Amourage and Ceruledge are INCREDIBLY cool designs, like I don't have anything to criticise about these guys. They feel like they fit right in with Gardevoir and Gallade in the "badass humanoid knight monster"-club and I'm not surprised Gamefreak showed these two first for their promotional material, they definitely belong in this region's S-tier

@direflames99 I actually thought people would be disappointed by Clodsire when I first saw the leaks of it because of how incredibly simple it looked compared to some fanmade concepts I saw making FULL USE of the bone-aspect and Poison type of Paldean Wooper, but seeing it fully animated I now understand why it's gotten this popular within the community :D It's FRIEND-SHAPED!! Plus its ribs can stick out, based on an animal that's actually able to do that, so that's pretty cool, I'm glad they didn't entirely rid Paldean Wooper of its prominent bones

A guide to the villains:

to make it a bit easier to understand the dynamics in my writings, both in power and personal

Lab Rats Villains: Giselle and Krane might be the most officially allied, but neither trusts the other in the slightest. Both have contingency plans for the other and are plotting downfalls, should the slightest sign of betrayal come about. Their partnership is of convenience, not trust. Also, Sebastian and Marcus hate each other lmao. They only put up w the other because of their fierce loyalty to their proverbial creators. Giselle eventually discovered Bridget Hunslet's identity. Mr. Terror was both amused and impressed by their little group, and extended her invitation

Rodissius: He rules his home with an iron fist. Mr. Terror saw the rage within him at the loss of his powers and hatred of both supers and normos, and invited him and his children to join her cause

Mr. Terror: Every last one of the above mentioned are completely terrified of her (pun intended) She has both Experion and Scarlet's loyalty (will be elaborated on in the future) which definitely adds to the fear factor. Except she's totally in Mighty Max. Yup.

Least to Most Powerful:

Rodissius: He's got a physically strong stature in my design and is definitely skilled from his hero days. The chokehold he has on his veritable army is formidable. But at the end of the day, he's a regular normo now (and weakening with each passing day (will be elaborated on later #2))

Giselle: She's a super genius, manipulative, calculating, and highly skilled in combat, given she held her own against Bree. That and she has a torrent of androids at her disposal and Marcus's unflinching loyalty. However, she is simply a normo as well, and despite her brain being dangerous as it is, when it comes to most of the others, she wouldn't be able to dent much.

Sebastian: Giselle granted him new bionics. He has his soldier training and is obviously very skilled, but he wouldn't hold a candle to the next listed.

Shapeshifters: Wide range of powers, incredible skill because of training since birth for one purpose, and there are thirteen of them. The black swarm ability is also pretty op, on top of all the other assets. The main thing to hold them back more than anything is their loyalty to Rodissius and fear of his retribution toward them.

Marcus: He has all of ABC's bionics and then some. Not to mention as an android, he tires far slower and is largely unaffected by any injury. The problem with him mirrors the shifters'. He's blindly loyal to a woman who doesn't genuinely care for him (my Giselle is a sociopath with a sprinkle of psychosis). He definitely couldn't take all thirteen shifters, not when a five-person team, two bionic, two heroes powered by the arcturion, and a Calderan couldn't. But he would probably manage to defeat one or two at a time. Same with Sebastian, depending on which shifter. A lot of the younger ones they could take down. Roman, Riker, and the Spider-Legs girl (2nd oldest) they couldn't beat, most likely. Reese and another yet to be revealed are the only exception to younger shifters that could take them.

Krane: He's hard to place. I could easily switch him with the next listed. Powerhouse is the only descriptor. He's probably the most formidable in the Lab Rats show. I think he could take half the shifters at a time with relative ease, despite the setbacks from his injuries. He stands way above Marcus and Sebastian as well.

Scarlet and Experion: Calderans are op. That's it lol. I can't decide which among them is more powerful. Scarlet stayed on her warrior-gladiator world and gained experience that way (she has a much different backstory bc the EF one sucks. Also I wanted to give Sky a personal rival bc Experion is shared between her and Kaz) but Experion has hero experience. Both are master manipulators, and fully powered, unlike Skylar. I don't know if Krane could take two Calderan soldiers.

Mr. Terror: Girlboss Extrodinare. She's rich, has an empire, and hundreds of lackeys beneath her. Not to mention full loyalty of two Calderans. Even without all of that, she could most definitely defeat any before. And they know it. She has a quiet power over the rest in their partnership, and all of them fear her greatly. She's highly intelligent and motivated, a scary combination. The unspoken leader: whatever she orders goes. The only one ballsy enough to make a contingency plan for her is Giselle, and she hasn't found anything to be of possible use. Bridget has her own plans for each of them, and every move she makes has extreme intention (peep the chessboard. Not just symbolic)

2x08 “i, mudd”

this is absolutely a much better mudd episode than “mudd’s women,” but mudd episodes are just… not great episodes? i’m glad that they was so much better in discovery, and i’m sure his episodes will be great in strange new worlds if he ever shows up there as well. which is funny because i actually like the way he’s portrayed in tos a lot better than the way he’s portrayed in discovery? like, conniving con man who gets under the captain’s skin is way more star trekky to me than just… “straight-up a murderer.” but the episodes around him in tos are just… ugh.

i loved all the silly stuff kirk & co did to try to confuse the androids, though. definitely the highlight of either of tos’s mudd episodes. c-rank

2x09 “metamorphosis”

i don’t have a lot to say about this one? it’s just… kinda boring and lonely. cool that they introduced zefram cochrane for later shows (even enterprise) to do a much better job with, i guess. d-rank

2x10 “journey to babel”

this would be a landmark episode if only for introducing spock’s parents and two founding members of the federation (the andorians and tellerites). but it’s also got some of the most plentiful and in-your-face play-doh food of the series, an absolutely bonkers star trek fight, a murder investigation, dr. mccoy doing bullshit star trek medicine, a space battle… there’s kind of a lot going on in this episode! it really is one i always look forward to. i really think this kind of stuff is tos at its best. a-rank

2x11 “friday’s child”

… and this is tos at its worst. seriously, this is so boring. it’s just 45 minutes of nothing! and oh yeah, my abusive ex “ironically” loved mccoy slapping that one lady across the face and then her following him around all doe-eyed for the rest of the episode. so, you know. not exactly an association it’s easy to get out of my head, and not a pleasant one in the first place.

i’m not just docking it because of that, though. it was already extremely bad all on its own. d-rank

2x12 “the deadly years”

the best part of this episode is when they reuse footage from “balance of terror” to make it look like the enterprise is under attack by the romulans. c-rank

2x13 “obsession”

hey. hey. what if we did “the man trap” again, but like, kinda worse? like, not bad bad, but just kinda… ever so slightly worse? and added a whole thing where the monster of the week was just super in captain kirk’s head. and he takes it out on some poor hapless security guy. wouldn’t that be fun!!

Revolution: With the possibility of androids seemingly growing consciousnesses, there is no doubt that Natalie Tyler would be intrigued. After only a few days, she’s torn apart and forced to choose a side, android or human, to ensure her survival through these trying times. Yet there is no guarantee that she will live through this revolt.

i feel like he also likes deep-fried memes or the very abstract, post-modern memes. miyuki is good at making other people laugh, but he has a generally very-off brand humor and the things that make him cackle hardest are either at someone else’s expense (very similar to kuramochi, so they bond a lot over that) or just indiscernible without access to a huge layer of context/background

saves the reaction photos kuramochi sends him, but doesn’t usually use them. but seeing an ugly pic of eijun yelling never fails to make him grin LMAO

i think he also texts A LOT about baseball, even more so than these other baseball dummies. texts his teammates a lot of articles he reads or clips from games/cool plays. this is mostly about texts, but in terms of social media I think miyuki uses twitter/instagram the most especially for baseball related reasons, while kuramochi uses snapchat the most. 

he probably texts a lot about baseball as well, both seriously and playfully

i can see him using hahas and LOLs in equal measure, but he would also utilize the haha reaction if he had an iphone. this boy does value his wit so he would definitely have commentary about any memes or jokes he’s sent

the thing is this man thinks that he is infusing all his texts with, like, tajin level seasoning, when in reality its pepper

uses punctuation. always. exclamation marks are used sparingly to express excitement.

he’s another one who sends random things to people when he thinks about them. miyuki of course gets so many texts/thoughts about shogi. if you get a random haiku, poem, or quote from testu, that means you’re blessed enough to be in his inner circle! he definitely thought of you when he read it and and wants you to respond!

with bae: he doesn’t really change up his texting style tbh, but he has a stronger outward reaction to what YOU text in response.

definitely the type to smile almost imperceptibly at his phone as he texts you, even if you send him something like “hey i’m at the store, want anything?”

he’s not great as verbal affection early in the relationship, so you’ll have to discern his love/affection. however baby boy is NOT afraid to just straight up say he loves you, he does it all the time and early.

he’s KNOWN for being reliable and responsible, so he will be at your beck and call when he’s able to for anything you need, but his heart is also warmed by the thought of you reciprocating that care. if your texts show him you’re thinking of him just like he does too. he’s very gentle and sweet, and checks up on you when he’s able to see if you need anything at all.

he might be reliable, but that doesn’t mean that he’s the quickest guy to respond to texts. he’s a busy guy, and he doesn’t think about his phone all the time, but he will always get back to you (bae does not play when it comes to completing things).

I want to talk (a lot) about Regular Factory Escape Room

i apologise in advance for this but ive just finished the game and i have SO many thoughts. some about my experiences, some about what i think this game is meant to be - a warning. but ill get to that later

first i think its hilarious that i had to crack out the walkthrough for literally the first puzzle. i was so close to solving it but still. i mean ive known im dumb for ages you dont have to prove it to me lmao. ah well happens to the best of us

secondly for anyone who didnt try to read the company logo in particular, PLEASE do. i still have not gotten over 'regular factory - what we manufacture is none of your business'. its like the stranger from tma is running it

talking of tma this game made the mistake of fuelling my transition into an extinction avatar wannabe because that one puzzle reminded me that chemical warning symbols exist. ive developed a bit of a hyperfixation on them aesthetically now which is difficult to explain lmao

another thing i wanna talk about. the RAISE puzzle. the hiding of the I and E under those table things with the shadows making them almost impossible to see. that was so rude lmao /lh

also. i thought i was being SO clever by putting sophia's (the android you do the dna and rna thing on) name into the database but nothing came up so either they just didnt do anything for that name or shes fucking dead. there was a female looking android in the waste room maybe that was her idk

talking of the waste room i HATED that. i have very bad automatonophobia and i really thought something in that room was gonna move. horrific. which makes it even more ironic that the mc ended up being dumped there in the room i hated so much jfnfjdjjd at least hes with sophia i guess??? what a way to go

the saddest part of it all i think was that it said olivaw had been activated in june 2032 and it said on the whiteboard that shift was early july 2032 so he was only a month old :( also the fact that the alpha area keycard was in that androids hand makes me think that they did what the mc did, got too curious and paid the price for it... god these games get deep lmao

okay this is the main thing i wanted to say though. why i think this game is a warning. and its to do with giselle. oddly enough thats one of the other names i go by- anyway yeah if her tenth anniversary was the day of olivaw's shift (which i think it was because the email said 'today' and the other screen had chocolate cake on it), that would mean that for her to have been there 10 years on the 7th july 2032 she'd be starting there TOMORROW (this post was made on the 6th july 2022). terrifying. those dates make me think that this is supposed to be a warning of what happens when science goes too far and how close we are to what i would call a dystopia. or at least thats how i interpret it lmao

*knocks on your door* hello i hope you don't mind if i share a very specific Shadow The Hedgehog (2005) thought because this game has been living rent free in my brain since sometime in 2010 when teenme started to dissect and analyze story and plot threads to try and consider how certain story sets would work.

anyway the thought in question is, feel free to disagree- i am of the opinion that library path 173, Steel Ruler, is the one that would lead to the Last Story.

my main thought process behind this is that 173 (and technically also 79, 207, 267, and 301, but 173 is my favorite of them) fulfills a number of Criteria that are also true in the Last Story:

Eggman is still alive, so he can't be our boss unless we're in Cosmic Fall. a line during the Devil Doom fight indicates we must hit Iron Jungle as mission 5 for the 'android Shadow' twist. the Last Story cutscene and level takes place in the Black Comet and we see no teleportation or travel, meaning our mission 6 is either Final Haunt or Black Comet. since Black Doom isn't face down on the floor he cannot be our final boss. and, Charmy kicks the computer square in an emulation of Shadow's hacking job in Mad Matrix, so we should hit that too. i like to put Prison Island into the mix also because it gives another link to the Chaotix + the data disks from the stage itself, but it's not STRICTLY necessary. but regardless, i think this is a solid candidate for the closest thing we can get to a Last Story prologue we can get with this wonderful mess of a game.

Shadow kept himself neutral, but he helped Charmy, but then he destroyed Eggman's database, but then he helped Eggman get rid of the GUN robots in his base, and then he helped Black Doom doing the same thing on the Black Comet lmao. (funnily enough, this is one of those Semi Dark paths whose names for some reason hint at Shadow being an android, I wonder what's up with that)

In short, you propose that Prison Island - Mad Matrix - Iron Jungle - Black Comet is the canon progression? Your reasoning makes sense! In my opinion, Prison Island is more important than Mad Matrix because it's implied that the secret disks were Gerald's message, but good point about Charmy emulating Shadow fhaskjhfkas. Also yeah, Shadow should probably learn about the Shadow Androids for Eggman's confession to make sense.

Another likely canon path is 153, Together With Maria (NNDHH(D)):

Yes, it ends in Cosmic Fall, but from there it's not a stretch to think that Sonic and Tails might have flown on the ARK, and Shadow agreed to go with them on the Black Comet. Or maybe he teleported himself because he was called by Black Doom (it's the Semi Hero-Dark ending, so the two are somewhat in good terms). Also, I just really like the idea of Shadow deciding to exile himself on the ARK to protect it and to atone :)

(if we go for your theory, I also think I prefer path 79, Deep Black. One, I like the idea of Shadow starting to give in to his revenge impulses, but being stopped in time by his friendship with Rouge. Two, the name is cool :P)

I mean we saw other aliens get affected so probably, but still.

Ranboo had forgotten how much distaste he had for rain until he was on his own. It was still dark outside, a little past midnight if he were to guess. Streetlights and storefronts stayed illuminated, luckily for him. Ranboo sat outside a café under a rain-soaked umbrella as he planned his next move. Niki had told him which way to go, but now his only issue was finding the right direction. He had never ventured far in the city before by himself. Now he was by his lonesome with no guidance and no idea where he was going.

He removed his gloves and absently traced a finger along the edges of the metal table as he murmured directions to himself. “East… Camden, and then north to-”

“Ferndale?”

Ranboo froze. He slowly turned his head around to look at the person behind him. A tall ginger man with white streaks in his hair stood behind him, his backlit up by the light of the café. He had a curious look in his dark brown eyes as he looked at the masked android. “Who are you?” Ranboo demanded.

The ginger didn’t answer right away. He wandered over to the seat on the opposite side of Ranboo and sat himself down before replying, “I’m Fundy,” he said. He must have noticed Ranboo’s unease because he quickly added, “Don’t worry! I’m an android too.” He held up his gloved hand. Ranboo watched in surprise as the “skin” retreated from his hand to reveal the porcelain white layer below. Fingerless gloves covered most of his palm, but Ranboo could tell that Fundy wasn’t lying. The newcomer’s LED blinked from under his black cap. “I was passing through here and noticed you sitting alone. I thought you might like some company,”

The tension in Ranboo’s shoulders was easing up a little. “Okay. If that does happen to be true, how did you know I was going to Ferndale?” he asked, narrowing his eyes behind his shades. “You shouldn’t have been able to know that.”

Fundy shrugged. “I have my ways,” he said airily. Mischief gleamed in his eyes. “You’re gonna want to get patched up before going on that trip,” Fundy suggested. “I can see the scarring on your hands.” Fundy pointed to Ranboo’s hands where the skin layer rippled like water over his knuckles and joints. “Doesn’t exactly seem like you’re in good shape,”

Ranboo grimaced beneath his dual-colored mask. “If you knew about the night I’ve had, you wouldn’t be surprised,” he muttered.

Fundy laughed, a sound reminiscent of a fox squeak. “Uh-huh?” His tone was light and playful. “Well, I’m sure it was terrible, but that’s not why I’m here.” He leaned forward in his chair. The light from the stores illuminated the ginger's face. “I know a guy who can fix you up,”

“Huh, that sounds trustworthy, for sure,” Ranboo twiddled his fingers. Fundy was treading a thin line between truth and deceit. “...who do you know?”

“Ah,” Ranboo sighed. “I see.”

He looked down at the slip of paper Fundy had handed him before disappearing. The address was correct, so why did it feel so wrong to be there? The android looked back up at the looming building. It was not the most threatening exterior. The walls were white brick, and the front door was a cheery shade of yellow. Rain blurred some of his vision, but he could see a garden in the back of the house. An iron gate and an intercom blocked the entrance. Haltingly, Ranboo pressed a button on the keypad. A raucous buzzing sounded from the speakers.

Suddenly, a voice cut through the crackling static. “Can I help you?” An unknown woman asked. She had an accent from somewhere Ranboo couldn't put his finger on. Somewhere southern, perhaps?

Ranboo rubbed his hands together nervously.

“I think you can. At least, someone told me you could,” he stated. He noticed his face on a small screen, presumably the woman's view of him. Ranboo noticed how disheveled he looked, hair mussed up and clothes dirty. He frowned beneath the mask.

There was a pause, and then, “Honey, I don’t know what you think this place is, but I suggest you go home for the night. I don’t appreciate you kids playin’ tricks on me.”

“Wait, wait, wait!” He held a hand up in desperation. Removing his glove, he put his scarred hand up to the screen. “I need your help,” he said quietly. “Please?”

There was an awkward silence, and with no warning, the iron gate began to slide open. Ranboo breathed a sigh of relief. He approached the front door brightly. He was about to knock, fist poised over the door when it suddenly swung open to reveal a tall blonde woman.

“Hello, darlin’,” she drawled. Her accent was much thicker in person, and clouds of cigarette smoke puffed from her mouth now and then. “Come on in! Make yourself at home here. I’ll get my husband and he can fix you right up,” she explained, ushering him into the house.

Ranboo cast an anxious glance behind him. As predicted, he was alone with no one but the lady and the rain for company.

Ranboo followed the blonde into the living room. He had to admit, the home was comfortable. The fireplace was roaring, and there were throw blankets and pillows scattered around the couch. “Th-thanks?” He called after her as he watched the woman vanish into the next room. He sat in a pillowy chair tentatively and glanced around.

The curtains were smoky gray, and the wooden floors were were the color of freshly made caramel. There was a record player in the corner with shimmering golden accents. Vintage, he noticed. It was made in 1996, if he had to guess, about thirty years ago. A low tune was playing quietly that almost felt foreboding. Ranboo was about to get up and inspect the purple and white striped disc when the door was cast open.

“Well, well, well!” A deep, booming voice cut through the soft music. A man in a cream button-down shirt and suspenders made his grand entrance and set himself on an armchair across from Ranboo. “I hear we have a visitor? It’s nice to meet a young android like you. I’m Alan Devon, and this is my wife Adeline.” he gestured to the blonde lady that stood behind him. He held a hand out to the brown-haired android.

Ranboo took the man’s hand and eyed him cautiously.

“Nice to meet you too, sir,” Ranboo replied slowly. “I, uh, I heard that you were able to do android repairs?” He said, fiddling with his gloves.

Alan chuckled. “Not just able, son, I’m an expert at this sort of thing. I used to be the second in command at CyberLife. I helped design the very first android ever created, TU880?” Silence met his words, and he continued talking. “What I’m trying to say is that I am more than qualified to fix up your hand.” He stood up from his white armchair and headed towards a door at the back of the room. “If you follow me, we can get started on repairs right away!”

Ranboo watched Alan descend the dark staircase. The sensible part of his mind told him to run.

He pulled himself off the couch and past the record player. Mellohi, he noted. Huh. With a deep breath, he gripped the railing and followed after the middle-aged man, a quiet determination settling in him.

The flight of stairs was shorter than he expected. At the bottom of the steps sat a large room full of spare parts and pieces of androids. Strewn about the room were LEDs, thirium pumps, and audio processors. Ranboo almost tripped over a stray limb. He shuddered in disgust.

“Here,” Alan pointed to the large machine at the front of the room. “Step up onto this and we can get started,” he ordered coldly.

Ranboo did as he was told, albeit reluctantly. He gasped in surprise as robotic arms grabbed his wrists and pinned them to his side. Another arm placed itself firmly on his head, keeping it still. “What is this?” Ranboo asked shakily.

Alan didn’t respond for a second as he pressed an array of buttons on a keypad next to Ranboo. Finally, he looked back up at the captive android with his too-wide smile and too-bright eyes. “Don’t you know, son?” He asked. “Lesson one: never trust a stranger,” he pressed a green button on the keypad. “Or anyone, for that matter.”

The machine jerked Ranboo's head back swiftly. “What are you doing?” he yelped. The robotic arm was sifting around through the wires and gears in the android's neck. “Aren’t you-”

“No talking,” Alan said firmly, which Ranboo assumed was his polite way of telling him to shut the hell up. “We don’t take kindly to androids in my house, you hear?” He muttered something to himself as he wandered away from where Ranboo was struggling on his own. “Androids were my idea! Who do you think gave that blue-eyed bastard the idea to build that piece of rubbish? Not to mention one of your kind killed my son.”

Ranboo stiffened as the metal claw poked his memory card. “What are you talking about?

Alan dodged the question. “I’m wiping your memory. Once that’s gone, you’ll forget you were ever a deviant, and I can dismantle you.” He smiled. “I’m going to build the most sophisticated piece of AI with these spare parts, mark my words.” He smoothed the wrinkles in his shirt. “Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to get a drink. Don’t even think about leaving, or you’ll be sorry.”

Ranboo wasn’t sure what awaited him if he tried to leave, but he was willing to risk it if it meant freedom. As soon as his captor was out of sight, Ranboo began struggling against the metal claws that held him in place. The machine gripped his memory chip and began to pull. Ranboo winced and tried to move his neck away, but to no avail. The chip disconnected from his system, and Ranboo could feel his memories corrupting.

All the faces he used to recognize blurred together. Niki, Sam, Fundy, slipping away like sand through his fingers. He grimaced as he felt the metal claws relax their grip on his arms and head. Ranboo wriggled his way out of their grasp and stepped down from the platform. He had a minute before all of his system memory was corrupted. Ranboo frowned as he grabbed the memory card. He wasn't able to put it back in himself. He pocketed it and looked around. His adrenaline was fading, and with it went his memories. He scanned the bleak basement. His options were limited. Wait for the Devons, escape through the front door, or find-

The back door, he thought as a plain white door caught his eye. Hope blossomed in his chest again. I can leave.

He rushed to the door silently and was about to tug on the handle when he heard the door open again. Ranboo tensed.
