Instead of doing a solid background and print links, I decided to reverse it and do the print as the background and let the accent colour pop as the links.
And of course, my favourite colours.

I made this quilt in about two weeks for my mom for Christmas and, because I was in such a rush, didn't take any good pictures of it.

It was the month of May. Trees in Harvard Yard Were turning a young green. There was whispering everywhere.

I know that we all talk about cowboy Twilight but he and Time both just give Irish vibes to me. And in language barrier fics people tend to have Wind as Spanish, but what if he was Greek? Wind says something like how he wishes he could've been to Malon and Time's wedding so he could throw rice at them, and everyone else on the chain just gives him a confused look? And he's like "throwing rice will give you more children" and they get even more confused. (In Greece, we throw rice at people on weddings to give them good fertility or something.)

Pastel hearts and irish chain. It’s almost long enough for a twin, but still comes up a little short.

hello! how do you pronounce Cú Chulainn?
hi! great ask, since it might be a bit of a confusing name. it is irish and is supposed to be pronounced "koo-kull-in", the u in kull like in dull. hope that helps!

I think sometimes about that time the subject came up of what my grandparents would leave my parents when they died (no grandparents were in the room).
And while there was some speculation over my father's parents, my mother's mother had lived on a widow's pension for most of her life. So none of her seven children were expecting a fat inheritance.
And my dad was like, "Ah, yes! The Gaertner family fortune, split seven ways, should be enough to take us allllll to Eat'n Park!"
This got some laughter and heckling from the rest of the family, my mother included (Dad knows his audience). He went on to say, "And not just one course either! We can get whatever we want!"
"So we can get dessert?" my mom asked.
"Oh yeah! We can get dessert, we can get appetizers, a box of cookies to go....."
And then years later, when my grandmother died at age 94, her will allocated most of her savings for a funeral and a small wake. The rest was to be split equally among her kids.
It takes a while for these kinds of financial things to process, so my mother received her inheritance a few months later.
Each sibling received $200.
Which, as it happens, was exactly enough to take my immediate family and a couple of cousins out to a really nice dinner at Eat'n Park.

Halloween is my favourite holiday but it’s so weird trying to explain to people that I actually celebrate it less as spooky day and more as “I surround myself in memories of the dead and do things related to that and it’s actually a very happy and peaceful thing to do” because it sounds spiritual and irl people just. Cannot think of me as spiritual in any sense because of how separated I am from religion. I don’t think of myself as particularly spiritual either! Halloween is just the exception. Like my mom and Easter.
